Business Report: Home heating costs to rise

Residents will pay on average anywhere from $21 to $31 more a month - depending on utility

Heating a home with natural gas will cost more this fall and winter, as the State Board of Public Utilities has approved rate increases. Higher commodity costs due to the war in Ukraine are among the factors that led to the increase, which comes at a time when many are struggling to manage household costs, close to a million falling behind in payments.
