One “Build Back Better” proposal would lift the cap on SALT deductions to $80,000
Concerns over the cost of the proposed "Build Back Better" delayed the House vote planned for Friday in Washington. Democrats added provisions to the bill in recent days including a proposal to lift the $10,000 cap on state and local tax deductions (SALT) to $80,000. They also added back a new paid family leave program. Once the bill goes to the Senate, more changes are expected.
