There’s an important deadline for New Jersey renters who are in need of assistance. The state Department of Community Affairs has announced that anyone struggling to make rent payments should apply to the state by Dec. 15. After that, the application window will close. Low- and moderate-income renters who apply will be entered into a lottery for assistance.
