Take a trip underground and discover Fresno’s Forestiere Underground Gardens. The masterpiece was built in the early 1900s by Baldasare Forestiere, an immigrant from Sicily. Located on Shaw Avenue near Highway 99, the Underground Gardens is open for tours. There are concerns that California High Speed Rail project could damage the Underground Gardens.
