The Central Valley Armenian community gathered to mark the 101th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. 1.5 million Armenians were killed at the hands of the Ottoman Turks. The Central Valley is home to approx. 50,000 Armenians. A flag raising ceremony took place at Fresno City Hall. Guest speakers included: Rep. Jim Costa, Fresno Co. Supervisor Debbie Poochigian, Danny Tarkanian & Raffi Hamparian.
