Make your own cable car.
Oh, a cable car, is it?
Well, kind of like a trolley car, except it doesn't run on tracks in the ground.
Instead, it's pulled by a moving cable, usually across a canyon or up a mountain for your cable car.
All you need is a toilet paper tube, a drinking straw, and some string.
The first thing you do is attach the straw to the top of the toilet paper tube.
I've used tape, but if you'd like, you can.
You can use glue.
Then you tie off one end of the string and run the other end of the string through the straw like this.
Then tie off the other end of the string.
Make sure that one end of the string is higher than the other.
Then bring your cable car up to the top and let it slide down to the bottom.
You know, you can put a small toy or a piece of clay inside like a passenger, if you'd like.
And of course, you can decorate your cable car any way you want.
It's fun to have maybe two pieces of string and two cable cars side by side and have a cable car race.
It's a fun way to learn about up and down.
