Calls for Release of Full Report on Botched Implosion

Residents and leaders of Little Village are calling for a release of the full report.

There are renewed calls by Southeast side residents for action from the city over the smokestack implosion that spread a cloud of dust over Little Village almost two years ago. A new report from the Chicago Inspector General’s office concludes city employees and the company involved should have faced tougher consequences for a lack of oversight leading to the demolition.
