New Jersey residents were warned to stay indoors and avoid strenuous activity outside due to high levels of particle pollution in the air. Medical experts are urging anyone with health concerns to wear an N95 mask or stay indoors. The air quality index is nowhere near as bad as it was in early June, when it reached an index of 458 in New Jersey; 500 represents the most hazardous air quality.
