Tonight…the Senate takes up Carly’s Law, which would allow the use of a marijuana-derived drug to treat seizure disorders.  Lawmakers announced that UAB would conduct research on the drug.  Also a new bill that, instead of repealing Common Core, would put a moratorium on it.  Rep. Donnie Chesteen of Geneva discusses his bill to allow boards of education to set their own school calendars.
