On Day 18, cornbread rose to the top and the Senate Special Investigative Committee met.

Two sweet bills passed in the House today, HB 1048, making cornbread the official state bread, and HB 1034, adding National Sugarcane Syrup Day to the state calendar. On the Senate side, the Senate Special Committee on Investigations had their first meeting to investigate misconduct allegations against District Attorney Fani Willis.
