Katherine Supiano is here with more information about the Grief and the Holidays program.
Hi Kathy.
Always so good to have you back.
- Hi, Mary.
Thank you.
Well, we're really excited about this year.
So in addition to the information and the music that we'll share to help people navigate the holidays, our speakers this year are an interesting brother and sister who lost their mother at a very young age.
And we'll talk about how they got through the holidays all these years growing up, how their sibling relationship grew, and really give us some good and helpful tips to get through the holidays.
You know, it's an interesting thing, we don't think, when we're caring for grieving children, they grow up and they carry that grief with them.
- [Mary] Oh do they.
- So it's very interesting.
We're excited about it.
- Oh, I'm glad you're doing it because you haven't done that one before about - Not really the brother and sister combinations.
- Yeah.
- It's kind of interesting.
- Yeah.
- And I think it's something that I think everyone can relate to because, even if it didn't happen when you were a child, you worry about your own children, your grandchildren.
So I think it's gonna be really helpful.
- Oh, very much so.
And just looking at grieving children as grownups, because they carry that with them and it affects them.
- They do.
And in fact, Todd and his sister Jennifer, can really demonstrate that people can become even more compassionate, more loving, more giving.
And so we're able to see some of the good that can come out of a very, very bad life experience.
I think this one will be full of hope for people.
- That's great.
And I know you're doing it both in person this year?
- Right - And online.
- Online.
And again, from the Pandemic we have people who can join us from all over the state, so we're excited about that and trying to get your same reach out there.
- Yeah, wonderful.
I'm so glad you're doing it, and thank you for being here.
- Good.
Thank you.
