It's really important when you see a dog that you don't just go run up and pet the dog.

You know, you need to respect the dog and kind of approach it like you would approach a human just, you know, calmly and gently.

But today, Northern Lights Rescue has partnered with Duluth Pack and rough wear to do a adoption event and educational event.

This is Monster.

Monster is one of six.

He came to us from Texas, around four days old, along with his mom, dad and five siblings, and he is a Chihuahua mix puppy.

When we get dogs from Texas or wherever they've gone through a lot of experiences that probably aren't the nicest, any new experience can be pretty scary, so it's important to educate around taking care of your dogs.

Our dogs need vaccinations and vet appointments just like humans need our, you know, health checks.

We stress rescuing because there are so many dogs out there that have been surrendered or are roaming the streets that need a home that need somewhere to go.
