So Casey, Ill let you get a bre and we want to know how you got I've always want to make music.

My dad was a worship leader and singing wasn't my thing.

I tried.

And I was like, Im a find a way to make music.

And I got to 10th grade and I just had a terrible biolog and I was sitting there and I would write rhymes kind of and I just leaned into my influe and I kind of went from there.

That's that's how I got started.

Some of your influences like who Oh, man, Tupac, Kendrick Lamar, Cole, Jay-Z, Nas, Boyz II Men, Brian McKnight, Teddy Pendergrass, as to name a That's quite a list.

That's grea And so tell us about Spectrum.

Yeah, so Spectrum, we all kind of met each other in this little ra I met Alex first through a mutua named Jaheem, and he was like, oh man, you and Alex made great and we met each other and he made very different music from where I was trying to go, but we figured something out and it was wonderful.

He's been my backbone kind of throughout all the years and we just did a tape together called Blue Summer.

So that's how we got started.

Which led me to these two guys, Jack Edmondson, Robert Edmondson He was talking about these guys all the time.

He was talking about them like they were The Beatles.

And I got sick of hearing it.

He's like, yeah, man the Edmondsons, the Ed And I was like, they can't be th I was ready to hate on them.

And then they sent a track that later got turned into “Stor to Tell ”, which is one of my favorite song that we've ever been able to do.

So that's how they got into the Hezekiah, I actually went to sch He was a knucklehead like me, so we hung around the same crowd He is just supremely talented.

I don't think I've ever met anyone really as talented as Hez and I think we just took to each So when we were kind of forming I wanted to give him a call because I just remembered how go LJ, which is a funny story, I was going to a church in Stark and our drummer was sick.

And LJ just came up there, he didn't really know anyone, ve He came up there, he played drums for like three m and I didn't talk to him for a l Found him on Instagram and I jus up and he was here and he was re He was willing.

And that's how you get Spectrum.
