SO THEY TOOK THE SHEEP OFF AND IN TWO YEARS AND LET IT RANGE GET BACK TO NORMAL.
AND THEN STARTED CATTLE ONLY.
AND IT'S BEEN THAT WAY ALL THE TIME SINCE 1902 OR A COUPLE OF YEARS AFTER THAT.
UNTIL '99 WHEN WE HAD TO GET THE CATTLE OFF BECAUSE OF A DECISION BY THE NATIONAL PARK SERVICE.

WE WERE PRIVILEGED TO WIT THIS AMAZING SITE -- WITNESS THIS AMAZING SITE WHICH STARTED EARLY IN THE MORNING AND IT INVOLVED THE ISLAND COWBOYS DRIVING THE CATTLE OUT TO THE END OF THIS HUGE LONG WOODEN PIER, WHICH IN ITSELF WAS EXCITING WITH THE ENERGY OF THE CATTLE AND THE SOUNDS OF THE CATTLE ON THE OL' WOODEN PLANKS OF THE PIER.
