A child born today can expect to pay approximately $245,000 for 4 years of a public college and over $420,000 for a private college education. The majority of those planning to attend college cannot afford to spend hundreds of thousands on their education. 529 Plans are making it possible for families to more easily contribute to a child’s education sooner rather than later.
