Each year, Americans are filling almost 4 billion prescriptions; nearly one third of this medication will end up un-used, un-needed or expired, resulting in 20 million pounds of pharmaceutical waste. This panel discusses ways to encourage safe disposal practices in order to prevent pharmaceuticals from ending up in our water supply or elsewhere.
