Let me show you.
We're going to make a cereal bracelet.
Oh, you'll see what it has to do with counting in a minute.
All you need is string some oat cereal.
You know, the kind with little holes in it Looks like donuts.
Oh, don't use the sugar coated kind.
We'll also need some tape and a spoon.
The first thing you do is measure the string.
Well, actually, the first thing you do is wash your hands since you're working with food.
I've already done that so we can get started.
So after you've wash your hands, the first thing you do is measure the string.
This is a ruler.
It measures up to 12 inches, see: one... two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, 11, 12, 12 inches is also a foot.
Then we cut the string.
Make sure you use either safety scissors or have an adult cut the string for you.
Next, I'm going to wrap a little piece of tape around a one end of the string to make make it look kind of pointy to me.
Then I'm going to tie one end of the string to this spoon.
Do you know why?
Well, what would happen if I didn't tie it on to the spoon?
Let's see.
Oh, see?
The spoon will keep the cereal from slipping off the other end, so I'll tie it now.
It's simply a matter of threading the cereal onto the string.
Let's count as we go.
One, two, three, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 35.
Did you know you could count that high?
That is very good.
