A new collaboration is creating a musical bridge from San Juan, Puerto Rico to Chicago.
In a first-time collaboration, the Chicago Philharmonic and the Puerto Rican Arts Alliance are presenting a musical taste of Puerto Rico in a virtual performance that opens August 17. "From San Juan to Chicago: Un Puente Musical" weaves the Chicago Philharmonic's chamber orchestra with the instruments, musicians and composers of La Isla del Encanto. Here's a preview.
