WTTW premieres a new season of CHICAGO STORIES, Fridays beginning April 1.
Six new documentaries will tell the stories of Chicago’s trailblazing first woman mayor, Jane Byrne; two downtown disasters; Chicago’s real-life “Mad Men”; Chicago’s Union Stockyard and how Chicago became known as “Hog Butcher for the World”; a Mexican-American parish that lost 12 young men in the Vietnam War; and Chicago as the birthplace of gospel music.
