We have the story on how some are confronting the challenges of suburban poverty.

For many, the suburbs still embody the American dream: safe streets, good schools, and a place to call home. But this year, for the first time in this country, more poor people live in suburbs than in American cities. Here in the Chicago region, the number of suburban poor increased 99% over the past decade. The south suburbs have been hit particularly hard by difficult economy.
