What's it like to sail Lake Michigan aboard a tall ship? Jay Shefsky found out.

In 2013, Jay Shefsky stepped aboard the Lynx, a two-masted schooner modeled after an 1812 “privateer,” to sail from Milwaukee to Chicago. The boat was headed to the Windy City to join 13 other boats at Navy Pier for the annual Tall Ships festival. We revisit his 24-hour journey ahead of this year's Tall Ships festival, coming to Navy Pier from July 27-31.
