Mayor Rahm Emanuel at a press conference on Tuesday announced that he'd asked Garry McCarthy to step down as superintendent of police. The move comes amid questions about accountability and justice in the shooting death of Laquan McDonald at the hands of Chicago Police officer Jason Van Dyke.
