Learn Moreabout PBS online sponsorshipThe Children's Advocacy Center of Jackson County provides a holistic, multidisciplinary approach to intervening in child abuse.
We provide forensic interviews, forensic medical care, trauma informed therapy interventions, and advocacy and support services to children who've experienced abuse or witnessed violent crime.
It's a place where healing begins.
Kids can go through long term therapy here.
There's support for families.
It's a place where the legal system intersects so that people who are abusing children are brought to justice, which keeps the whole community safe.
It's just a place full of really compassionate and highly skilled & trained people who make our community better.
Our team is on call 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, because child abuse happens all the time.
There are some days where a call comes early in the morning.
The therapist may have to come in and support a child when something really serious kind of domestic violence or other situations have happened where the active investigation is happening.
So this is a first responder place cloaked in compassionate smiles and a beautiful house.
But this is a place where some of the most difficult stories in our community are brought so that healing can begin.
Child abuse is a community problem that deserves a community response.
We serve close to 600 individual children a year and we provide them with a little over 9,000 individual services in 2025.
This is powerful things that happen in this building that are life changing.
The Children's Advocacy Center is a place truly of heart, compassion, and the highest level of professionalism, and it's saving lives every single day.
