Homemade Chocolate Cherry Macadamia Nut Gelato paired with port-style dessert wine.

Precursor to ice cream, Italian Gelato is an easy recipe to make at home. Milk not cream is used; less fat than ice cream, gelato has from 4-9 grams of fat per serving. Chocolate and fresh cherries with macadamia nut makes a fun delicious dessert. Port-style dessert wine was paired with this recipe.
