Yeah.
Jam packed.
When I'm calling a game, one thing that I always pay attention to is don't screw it up.
If you've got a huge call, you've got a game winner, just be ready for the ball to go in.
You want to have a great call.
Cant shoot.
Portis a good defender, Gordon will take a long three and knock it in.
Aaron Gordon buries one from distance.
I grew up as an athlete.
I played basketball and volleyball in high school and college.
I always thought that I had a chance to be a professional basketball player until I got to college and saw how good everybody was, because I had achieve some fame in volleyball, I was actually hired by ABC Wide World of Sports in 1977 to do the NCAA championship.
So I got into it there.
And one thing led to another, and my career just kind of worked its way up.
Today, these two Western Conference rivals meet again.
Expect fireworks.
The players, the coaches, the refs, the fans.
Maybe even the announcers.
Everybody going full blast.
Next on Altitude.
The minute the game is over, the prior night, I'm thinking about the next game.
On game day, I'll make up notes and ladders and things that I want to talk about during the game.
The way I like to do my board is the two forwards, center and the two guards.
And then I have the substitutes low to high in their numbers so I can find them.
And then you listen to the coaches press conference I like to listen to both coaches and try to get like just 1 or 2 things that I can use in the broadcast.
Can I ask you follow up on that?
Do you feel like Payton is a better matchup for Duraant then Spencer Jones?
How would you evaluate that?
I'd say they bring completely different, you know, challenges for for Kevin.
Not that he's challenged very much.
But Spence, you know, is more of a physical, get into your space defender where Payton can really contest with his length.
Handoff Watson.
Watson with confidence.
And he bangs in a three from long range.
Payton Watson doing what he does I'm cognizant about what I say.
I you know I try to be as fair as I can.
Obviously I'm pulling for the home team.
I'm pulling for the home team.
But I don't say “we” and I don't say “they”.
I try to be as unbiased as a home announcer can be.
Step back three.
Got it.
