My name is Chris Rieser.
I've been living in Spokane Washington for about the past on and off the past 47 years.
Originally from Muscle Shoals, Alabama.
I've been playing music since I was six years old, and I grew up in a Southern Baptist church, singing in the choir.
I have been blessed my whole life with being able to work with some of the best people in the industry.
I started off playing in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, playing live in the area, and then eventually worked my way into the studios.
It was an absolute, incredible era from 1969 to I'd say about '75 or '76.
When I went on the road out of Nashville.
And then I wound up in Spokane area.
One two three.

We were on the road and my wife at the time went into labor about three months early, and she struggled really, really hard but she has turned out to be an amazing human being.
She is the brightest light in my life.
We must be a family of fighters.
It was ten years ago that I was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia, stage four.
And they gave me at the most six weeks.
When I got the diagnosis Ruby was quite young and she was in the room with us.
And I just told the oncologist, there's no way that I'm not gonna fight this, whatsoever.
And by the grace of God, the most excellent doctors at Fred Hutchinson and University of Washington, as well as here in town at Cancer Care Northwest, I have just been so, so very lucky to have come out of it and still be able to play music.
There's always side effects, but you know what?
I've been given ten years.
So I am thankful, really truthfully.
I just feel that I've lived such a blessed life and I'm not done yet.
I've been playing music for over 50 years, 55 years.
And there's still a lot that I wanna do.
I was put on this earth to make music and to be as good a dad as I can possibly be to my daughter.
The name of the band is The Nerve and we have Chris Kelly on the base.
We have Rick Lillemon on the guitar.
My name is Snap, and we're going to do a song that Rick wrote for me several years back during a rough go of it.
