Civilized Natives (Pensacola, Fla.) was founded in 1994. In 2000, the band was awarded the opportunity to record and release their first CD, “Closing In,” as Pensacola’s SpringFest Discovery Stage Award winner. Fast forward 30 years with founding members Glenn Vignolo and Jeff Gardner; the band is experiencing a revival with new music, new recordings and a robust performance schedule.

The story starts on a high slope And then it ends like the others. You wrote with just a statue missing from the yard And no one notices and no one knows. I move without ceasing. Never knowing where I must stop and so I move I feel the rush of the wind from diesels get taken aback but still I move I cannot be stopped. only forwad ever trusting myself I move somewhere among the stars I sail on the solar winds Not nearly sure why I know how to. I sing among the planets and the constellations and tears of knowledge and some continuity. I seek I will not be detained. I have so many questions. No answers and things to explore without ending. I seek somewhere between my eyes is where it hits me. And I'm not expecting it. And sometimes when I am, I stir at the restlessness towards me with missing. By the time I get up. There's nothing going on. I am out on the road. I'm out looking backwards and sideways and upwards taking in what I see I look I.
