Like I used to just jump on the fireplace when I was a little kid and pretend like it was a stage, so I've always kind of wanted to perform some way or another, and my dad taught me guitar and just kind of went from there.

It was very organic.

Just felt like a natural thing to do.

For me I think like music and visual art are really tied in together.

Like they're both just means of expressing something.

So I was trying to make the visuals and the music sort of interact a lot.

And I tend to be really like conceptual with albums where there'll be this like big idea that kind of drives all the songs.

And then the visuals that drive all the songs.

We're working on an album right now and I'm drawing all the parts of it, you know?

So I can talk to my band and be like, this is the part where we're, you know, in the desert with the cults or whatever it is.

But yeah, very, just like visually driven.

And I feel like it's all kind of the same thing if that makes sense.

So I think it's sort of almost like making a myth out of something real.

Finding ways that it can be universal and a shared experience.

So yeah, I think like the human experience is something that drives what I make.

I want people to see it and be like, I've been through that.

I've been in that place before.
