GHSA Class AAAA Finals – Marist vs. Jefferson
In a game of unbeatens, #1 ranked Marist got a third quarter safety and two fourth quarter touchdowns to defeat #2 Jefferson 30-14 to win the Class 4-A state championship. It was the third title and 399th win of coach Alan Chadick’s career. The War Eagles defense allowed only two of 13 opponents to score more than a touchdown against them all season.
