I am cleaning the earth.
♪ Motivational music ♪ So we're here today for the Spring Lincoln Park Cleanup.
It doesn't really feel like spring, but is Earth Day, April 22nd.
This is, I think, the third or fourth year that Eco3 has partnered with local organizations and businesses to put on this clean up.
We just gather members of the community and we go out and we pick up litter.
[Grabbing noises] Normally it's litter that's revealed by the snowmelt, but hey, we're having to dig around a little bit.
But we've got lots of hearty, excited volunteers out to clean up and make the neighborhood feel better for spring.
♪ Motivational music ♪ I'm doing here to pick up garbage from the Earth because pollution is bad for the earth.
We've picked up like the bottom of the bag since we got over here.
♪ Motivational music continues ♪ The Lincoln Park community feels like they need to stick together like we're a whole team, right?
This is a neighborhood.
People care about the neighborhood.
They want to make sure people can stay here, even as changes are made and they want to make sure that we're taking care of each other.
