Learn Moreabout PBS online sponsorship(woman playing zither) - We have a Tuesday night farmer's market, 4:30 to 6:30 PM, and we've got a lot of great vendors out here, and we are the Clover Valley Farmer's Market in Duluth Township, Minnesota.
We are a new market.
We saw a need in our township here for another farmer's market, so we started this one, and it's been going strong.
We're about 10 to 12 vendors each week, and we will run through the end of September.
I think farmer's markets are really important.
It makes your community stronger economically, also makes it stronger socially too as people interact and mingle at these markets.
This is certainly a community event, and that was our hope in starting this particular market.
Our community is kind of spread out geographically, and so we kind of combined this with the recycling night where folks are dropping off recycling, and then they can stop by and interact with their fellow citizens here, buy some things, maybe buy ingredients for supper on the way home.
