Our job is to preserve.
Our job is to have objects in our collection that we can make sure are used for our exhibits, for programing, and also for years to come.
That's that's something that that is really important to the Frazier.
And the other thing is, as you know, the Frazier asserted by Mr. Frazier and his legacy still is within all of the work that we're doing here.
So the objects that we have in our collection still represent his legacy.
We have these beautiful arms that not only some are historic, but some are decorative, because that was really important to him.
So we haven't gotten rid of of who Mr. Frazier was and the importance of him here at our museum now that we have a new mission.
We also have pieces that that represent the people of Kentucky.
And so continuing with Mr. Frazier as legacy, but then incorporating the stories of the people of Kentucky.
You know, we have uniforms from the various wars that the people of Kentucky served.
It's important for us to to tell their story.
They were they were people of service, both men and women.
And that and their legacy, it deserves to be to be shared and to be held and to be preserved.
Since we have freshened our mission and changed who we are.
You know, it really has opened the doors to what we can do and what we can collect and who we can be.
And so we've added the concept of Kentucky history, and that includes the people, the stories, the places and the things of Kentucky.
We have a variety of pieces.
We have portraits, we have objects, we have textiles, which are dresses, blankets, outfits, shoes, many, many objects that are able to tell these unique stories about these unique people.
We have items that are home items.
So we have items that, you know, people use and preserved because it was important to their family.
You know, we have a spoon here that has the word Louisville because it's from one of the hotels in Louisville, which is it's in it, which is important for many reasons.
We have the famous Louisville Slugger.
I know it has its own museum, but it's a part of Kentucky history.
So it's important for us to to tell it.
So we have things that are name brand, but then we also have things that are every day.
And so we have these holiday holiday décor, which this right here, this this Santa puppet was used by a Kentucky family during the holiday to preserve and to cherish their traditions.
And then that's so that's what we're doing with these objects.
And we are preserving and we're cherishing and we're honoring the people of Kentucky through the work that we do in collections.
