Later this month, almost 100 personal and professional items belonging to Colonel Harland Sanders will be hitting the auction block.

Also up for auction, two historic properties where Colonel Sanders and his wife grew their famous finger lickin franchise.

We spoke to the auction house handling the sale about the items up for bid, and why one item in particular is getting a lot of attention.

This has been preserved over time with no real reason or future use.

But now they've decided, let's make this available to the public.

Let's let the public enjoy all these wonderful artifacts that are that were the life of Colonel Harland Sanders, and his entrepreneurial spirit that lives on today.

There's almost like two different memorabilia sales, the everything that goes with the mansion and the restaurant, and then all the memorabilia by itself.

The very first combination item in the auction and what a way to kick it off with who he was is bow tie his suspenders.

But we also have his watches, and we have pictures of him wearing the watches that we're using and selling in this auction.

So the provenance is exceptional, but I love that there's really something for everyone.

The original buckets are being sold that the chickens came in, you know, not that the paper ones that I remember with my family, but actually like a plastic material.

We have a day planner.

We have notes that he took from meetings.

He was.

And his penmanship is exceptional.

I'm blown away by what a great writer he was.

Inside this day planner.

Toward the very back is a list of spices.

There's exactly 11 of them.

Now, we can't say that this is the secret recipe.

In fact, I won't say that this is the secret recipe, but it's 11 spices that are in his handwriting that are in the back of this book.

We have all of these great things, and the prices are going to be all across the board.

These are real things that he wore used.

Cherish was honored by on and on and on.

Everybody talks about Colonel Sanders when we talk about this auction, and it really is the Claudia Sanders auction, because we're selling the restaurant named after her.

The two of them put this restaurant together, made it happen.

It still exists today.

It really says something about their relationship, both to our relationship as husband and wife, but also as business partners, because they were very, very successful.

The mansion meant so much to them with their family.

The restaurant, which sadly burned down and had to be rebuilt.

And that's what we have today.

Also meant so much to them.

We're anticipating world wide participation, especially China.

Japan.

I have some folks that are interested.

I had a call yesterday from LA.

I have someone in, Hawaii who's interested.

This is going to be world wide impact.

And and people are excited to have the chance to own their own piece of Colonel Sanders history.

Everybody knows who Colonel Sanders is.

He is still so much a part of our lives today.

And that amazing recipe that he created, that still lives on today.
