The COVID-19 pandemic has been tough on retail everywhere, but it's been especially evident in Chicago's historic Michigan Avenue shopping district. Last year, a local family business saw an opportunity in those empty storefronts. They're offering a different kind of luxury to downtown shoppers, handcrafted artisan goods direct from Mexico.
