Nearly 350 years ago, colonial settlers attacked a Narragansett village in the Great Swamp, near South Kingston, Rhode Island. The brutal event was a turning point in King Phillip’s War, a conflict that would spell disaster for many Native American tribes. Contributing reporter David Wright reports on a unique effort by the Rhode Island Historical Society to make amends.
