Monday marked the filing deadline for candidates running in the Congressional primary. 63 petitions were submitted in all. That marks the highest number of congressional candidates since the so-called Watergate election in 1974 filing for the June 7 primary. This year a handful of incumbents will face not only primary challenges, but a newly redrawn district map to compete with.
