Jeffrey Epstein was a financier and convicted sex offender who killed himself in prison in August of 2019.
For years, there's been talk that his files contained a list of other people who supposedly engaged and or knew about similar sex crimes.
President Donald Trump was among those in the past saying the files should be released.
But in recent weeks, he has backed off of those remarks.
Massie is joining a House Democrat to push for discharge petition that would require the House to vote on releasing the files with a discharge petition.
House members vote to bring a matter directly to the fourth floor, bypassing committees.
Congressman Massie said this on ax, quote, we all deserve to know what's in the Epstein files, who's implicated, and how deep this corruption goes.
Americans were promised justice and transparency.
We aren't using a discharge petition to force a vote in the U.S. House of Representatives on releasing the complete files, end quote.
President Trump is vowing to back a Republican primary challenger to Massie next year over his opposition to his budget plan and the recent military strike on Iran.
