After roughly a decade of delays, construction on a new Gateway tunnel could begin as early as next year. U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg on Monday toured the old tunnels with New Jersey and New York federal lawmakers. Buttigieg told the congressional members that both he and President Biden are committed to getting the Gateway project done.
