Contact Improvisational Movement or simply "Contact Improv"

A form of movement that is definitely both. It's known as Contact Improvisational Movement or simply "Contact Improv" and it utilizes running, jumping, spinning, gliding, rolling, and lifting in a highly physical ballet between two or more participants. Imagination and trust overshadow the need for typical dance rhythm -- in fact, contact improv requires no accompaniment at all.
