Well.

When I arrived in the United States from Bulgaria and this was way, way, way back, in 1991, 1990, I arrived here and the first thing that I wrote to my mom was.

It's calling.

It's like, mom, can you send me a cookbook?

When she worried you weren't eating?

No, no, she wasn't worried that I wasn't eating.

But, you know, at the time, I didn't really have that much means.

And, you know, like, sure.

Cooking at home is less expensive.

Going to restaurants was impossible.

And every time.

And you don't really want to eat that much fast food.

So I was kind of very homesick.

And at the same time, I was missing very much the food that I grew up on.

So she sent me a cookbook, and I started there and then.

That's so sweet.

I had a roommate that was not a very picky eater.

He could eat anything, which was kind of like creates a little confidence that you always have, that things are good.

He just like had a great appetite.

That was a great start.
