Local leaders are demanding lawmakers pass a bill to create the NJ Reparation Task Force.

Juneteenth is now a federal and state holiday, but some New Jersey leaders say more needs to be done. They want the state to pass a bill that’s been introduced to create what they’re calling the New Jersey Reparations Task Force. The team would be in charge of determining what else can be done to fix the lingering effects of slavery.
