[Music] right there [Music] it's live continuous coverage here on georgia public broadcasting of the 22nd annual metro pcs corki kell classic as we come inside the dome for a huge and epic matchup between two top ten opponents it's the second ranked caulkwood county packers and the 10th ranked rams from grayson good afternoon everybody i'm tray mcdaniel alongside my partner in crime for the 2013 season former uga safety keelan johnson and keelan let's jump right into the nuts and bolts of this matchup both teams graduated a lot of talent but they both have some coming back take us through some players to watch today well first and foremost we want to take a look at cocoa county defensive tackle jamaius pittman this guy has unbelievable on talent he's 6-1 290 pounds and the coaches said he runs a 4 8 40.

290 pounds trey 4840 he has offers from everybody the coaches say this is a great guy and he he's probably the best guy he ever coached in his high school coaching careers which is great next thing is eris mccall for grayson the running back the only returning starter this year on this football club trey he runs a 4-4-40 he's a track guy and his speed kills it's his team now trey this would be an exciting game to watch and we've had two ones so far today this is only three of five killing of what will be about 15 16 hours of coverage and we're going to go downstairs right now to our sideline reporter for game three and that's miss raven toronto raven good afternoon good afternoon to you guys guys it's a battle of the quarterbacks on the grayson side of the ball shushler he comes from good pedigree it is his first year but his brother played at grayson and now he's at clemson so he definitely has been under the belt of playing so he's not nervous about this first game from what i hear on the grayson side of the ball now you go on the call quick side their quarterback was injured last year but they feel very good about him from what coach kurtz was saying earlier earlier today when i spoke to him backed up to you guys in the booth thank you very much raven we'll be checking in with you periodically throughout the game as the teams take the field and get set to run through the batters and kick off their 2013 campaign let's go to the keys to success brought to you by the atlanta falcons who remind you to rise up keelan take us through well grayson's keys to the game first and foremost they really need to steal the momentum early this team has 21 new starters after mentioning the open and these players needs confidence on the defense side the ball they need to attack they need to let their old lineman and let them glitches with stunts they need to uh trick them up because these young guys have um young up front trey they need some experience up there get these guys in trouble early corkwood county on the offensive side of the ball team you stick to what they do best and call quick connie they do a great job of spreading the ball out making short passes getting the ball in the shotgun and getting the balls in their play breaker hands on the defense side of the ball they cannot give up the big plays 10 yards or more 15 yards or more big plays that's going to hurt them in a big time game and a big dome today yeah keelan these two teams are very familiar with one another but not necessarily from playing in the regular season the last two times these teams have faced it's been in the semifinals the last time grayson got the better of caulk what you saw in our pregame show a last-second touchdown pass propelled grayson to the state championship where they defeated walton the last week halquin does have a state championship on their resume but it was back before rush props was their coach way back in 1994 that makes me feel very old because i was a senior at brookwood you see mickey connor on the sideline the only head football coach that grayson has ever known and man he is a good one in his 14th season you see his career win lost record there and of course the state championship just a couple seasons ago mickey khan's going to have his hands full today he has 21 new starters and this third time i mentioned this today just for the simple fact that he don't know what these guys can do they're just their first time hitting the field trade so a lot of young pups out there going to grow up today baby yeah i think one of the things that stuck out to you and i the most as we prep for this game is who loses 21 of 22 starters right now grayson has an opportunity to really claim that saying we do not rebuild we reload we'll find that answer that question today and take a look at what mickey khan says about rebuilding his program [Applause] we have to adjust our offense and defense based on the uh you know the talent that we have and try to utilize that talent as much as we can and you know of course in high school football some of these kids are gonna have to play both sides of the ball so we got to figure out how to manage that for practice as well as for the game without you know completely exhausting them as we get set for kickoff grayson will receive the opening kickoff wearing their home white uniforms and caulkwood in their dark home uniforms did you see mickey khan pacing the sideline a very familiar sight for him he'll be pacing up and down all day and we saw him just a moment ago kelan getting very very fired up for this football game don't think because this is an out-of-region game that it doesn't matter these two coaches hey man he's the general out there trey the speeder leader disputed the packing if he can't be deleted for his ball club those young guys out there will not feel the heartbeat of their coach rush probes patrolling the other sideline we all know about his success at hoover alabama six state championships and he has brought falcon county back to where moultrie believes they should be year in and year out as we get set for the kickoff here coach probst is a very high intensity coach he believes in his players and his motivation his motivation taxes are very very interesting to me here's a moment of silence for the tragedy that occurred at creekside high school earlier in the week let's take a moment of silence and so collectively before every game we'll have a moment of silence for this young man [Applause] and we're just about set to kick off here from the georgia dome there you see rush probes look at that face trey he's got his game face on for sure he was very vocal with us on the phone about wanting to win this football game obviously win every game it's a squid dick taken in here at the 25 yard line and a horde of packers converge on him and the grayson rams will start their 2013 offensive campaign first and ten from their own 21-yard line as we see their quarterback number seven if you recognize the name this is hunter schussler little brother of nate schussler excuse me nick schussler who led grayson to a state championship a couple years ago and keelan he brings a dynamic to this football team where they can go to the air they obviously want to establish the run but this young man can throw it around it's definitely in his hands he's a program kid as you can tell this offense is very seasoned as you can see there they're not getting off to a good start and just like it was scripted the two guys that we scripted to start the game converge on the first play and it's a loss for grayson and eric mccall as you see the region's bank starters of this game the five guys up front for grayson who will make it happen here in the wing t offense and the skill players while they are new you'll see every one of those guys touch the football today especially eris mccall who got the call on first down and they go no backs second play of the game shoots through the look to the near sideline and this incomplete as he tries to get the ball into mccall's hands for the second play in a row oh very interesting that they come out of the wing t look when they go to the second set as a no backfield set here's the region's bank lineup for the caulkwood defense you see jameis pittman the guy that keelan spotlight at number time 95 he made the tfl there on the first play and they're going to move around very multiple are the caulkwood county packers on defense they will shift around from a 3-4 3-5 4-3 they're going to get as many players as they can involved and they've got to scramble somebody off the field here quickly so they don't get a 12th man call third down and long here for the grayson rams and schuster will look to pass looking and intercepted by conquering that'll be a touchdown three plays into the game and a defensive score for conquest and it's atari rice the sophomore cornerback 28 yard touchdown unbelievable break by kari just set it louise he read the quarterback he looked at his eyes and he broke on the ball number one that's the cornerback one-on-one man here's the tcsg replay as as you can tell the quarterback stared the receiver down and he jumped on the route that's that's that's a great play by most of the time keelan we know that first games are normally dictated by mistakes and that was a big one by schussler no doubt he's getting coached up on the sideline after this he'll get a chance to redeem himself his offense will be right back on the field after the p-a-t definitely will there's one thing you gotta you gotta talk to your quarterback right now i understand you're in the atmosphere where you're in the dome first game of the year but you gotta get him in the comfort position point after is up and good for luis martinez kicking it through in a seven to nothing lead here early in the first quarter and keelan you see over there on the sideline hunter getting poached up a mistake by the first year starting quarterback those kind of things are going to happen yeah this is going to this is suspected you know as you can tell you look at his progression his feet work as good but the only thing he's doing wrong he's staring down his receiver as a defensive back that's what you talk you're going to look at the quarterback guys and then when the ball is thrown you're going to break on the ball hey that's his perfect textbook from the cornerback great call by by the secondary by looking up and being heads up and scoring on defense that's number one if you can score on defense that's that's all that's all the defensive coaches expect of his players if you can get a score on defense you're helping offense out hey now the officers can go out there and when it's their turn they can play a little bit more relaxed now keelan has a former safety at uga that kind of stuff pulls you up though it does man i get excited about that so we got a whole year of this so it's just the beginning county comes up on just the third play from scrimmage for grayson interception returned 28 yards for an early touchdown 11 25 to still go here in the first quarter and gulf coach is struck first blood and we'll redo what we saw just a couple of moments ago talk a little kickoff to grayson you know what's going on in the defensive coordinator's mind right now trey he's going out there and saying hey my defense is journaling still going we just scored on the first play of the season second player third play on the season we got to go out there and do it again because they're kicking the ball back off back deep to receive he may get a chance to return this one he does this is a trap guy at the near sideline and he'll be taken down at the 23-yard line and grayson's offense will take the field once again for their second series and of course all those big fellas for caulk would take the field as well we get another look at hunter schussler good-sized quarterback keelan young man is six foot 490 pounds almost a clone of his older brother it is man i i imagine that jitterbug's in his and his in his stomach right now but hopefully he can coach and get him in a good room get the running game going to get his legs back home mccall was the motion man but they give it up the middle to cameron brent on first down and 10 and there's a flag on the play grayson may have moved prematurely before the snap [Applause] and this illegal motion on grayson and that's a another early penalty when you're trying to come out as a quarterback and as an offense and have a short memory illegal forward motion on the offense 20's five yards from the previous spot replay first down having a uh ticky tack fundamental mistake on first down is not exactly what you want that's definitely not what you want especially if the quarterback is not in the best position that you want him to be in but i think they really need to focus on getting the running game going and putting the ball in there they're back bad running back now looks at the sideline for the play you're going to see grayson in this wing t formation with one receiver most of the night shooter will take these shots deep from time to time and he will pass on first down and lauren caught by aj stinson at the 25-yard line so they pick up the penalty yardage and a couple more and that gives them second down and about nine yards to go from the 26-yard line first touch of the day for aj stinson as you see is a nice veer off read off the edge a nice sprint out pass caught by their whether by aj there that's what you want you get your quarterback comfortable and now he has his gain and his confidence back a little bit but you want to see the chains move you see free safety juan patillo is a guy that's going to be all over the place for cauca today making the tackle and here's mccall on the sweep right a couple blockers ahead of him and he gets out of bounds right about the 30-yard line which will be just a little bit shy of the first down third down and one from that spot on the field but grayson's done a great job recovering from the first down penalty to put themselves in good down and distance on third and short as you see mccall trying to be a little patient waiting on those offensive linemen to get around the edge but he did a great job by picking up a few s after after contact you know speed is great keelan but this young man so far is showing a good vision here in the early going and that combination could prove to be to pay some big time dividends later on in the game third down and short give is up the middle i believe that's cameron brent and i'm not sure he got it looks like it might have been jamaica's pittman coming in to submarine and we'll find out where they mark the ball it's a little lot of meat up front there trey 290 6-1 i'm not quite sure i'm trying to run up the middle man if i was the offensive coordinator you see the replay here stalemate there on the line of scrimmage brent did a great job keeling just keeping his legs moving to at least get close to that first down but it's going to call for a measurement so we'll find out just exactly where we stand momentarily guess who we met in the whole trey tomas pittman that 290 pounds there's a reason why ole miss has signed the young man and it was good enough they give him a good spot and cameron brent picks up the first first down of the night or the afternoon i should say and there's a good shot of jameis pittman big old boy heading to ole miss next year first down to 10 grayson 33-yard line second possession of the game [Applause] paul moves from schussler's left to his right and he gets the ball here on the far side of the field it's a foot race and he gets tackled from behind right about the 40-yard line that'll be a nice gain on first down and something that coach rush probe said to us earlier in the week was we've got to do good on first down so far they have that's the first big chunk of yardage that grayson's got him as you see the zone he didn't have anything up the middle but because of his speed he really trusts his feet and is racing to the outside to make sure the chains keep moving down and three from their own 40-yard line tight formation no receivers this time mccall motion man again and this time same play to the right side as he turns on the speed once again up field and gets taken down by four or five different caulkwood packers one on four right there and a heck of a shot that he received on the outside by bull barge the junior middle linebacker that's a great game tackling right there on this replay one thing about a defensive coordinator what he wants to see from his game look at all those yellow pants and black jerseys around the ball that's what you call running to the football and you get a great finish by a great hit on the end the nice tackle by barge will force another third down in short grayson grinding it out slowly but surely looking to get a new set of downs once again and it's a jet sweep this time to nepal and they're calling his number a lot and that was a relatively easy first down so that'll move the sticks as they threaten to get into territory for the first time today what take a look at who grayson lost last year and and ladies and gentlemen these are only the people that went to the big schools that you all recognize as you sit at home on your couch they lost a ton of other guys but kimdichi being the most noteworthy of them all the biggest recruit in the country took off and headed to ole miss and that's what they have to fight against this year as we said and we'll continue to pound this drum all day they lost 21 of 22 starters mccall the only guy back from last season and we get another pre-snap flag here on first down and 10. false start offense five yard penalty still first down trey you you mentioned you talk about this listen uh in the pop on the screen you talk about robert candice you know ole miss this is somebody who had so much talent uh brought so much attention to their high school team and we talked to the coach last week uh this week and he talked about how much a distraction it could have become and it came especially when you have new guys 21 new starters and this team is really trying to find their identity they don't have a guy besides mccall they need some other vocal leaders they need some other talent out there and that's why coach said this game is very important oh man and there you see cameron off tackle to the right side and he got stood up in the hole again that's junior middle linebacker bull barge a young man that had 100 tackles last season he's been getting playing time since he was a sophomore and he's really coming to his own now as a senior take a look at this hit keelan that's what i love to see right there man what makes a good tackler you cannot hit what you can't see he kept his head up he drove his feet and he made a nice pop looking for the screen pass here again to brent and he is horse collared at the 41 yard line and here comes the flag [Applause] it was a nice hustle there by number 93 demetrius walker the backup left defensive end but he puts his hand inside the back of the shoulder pads and just beneath the neckline on the helmet you're not allowed to do that you see how brent horse collar tackle defense until he's 15 yards into the run first down you see how he gets bent backwards that's a recipe for ankle knee injuries all those kind of things which is why they outlawed it just a couple seasons ago so now by virtue of the penalty grayson moves into conquer territory for the first time this afternoon now keep in mind this defense scored on the first drive now a tough thing and their coach know they had to come back on the field and stop this the speedy offense of grayson but now you're gonna start to see a lot of hands on the hips for your defensive linemen these linebackers are starting to get tired and grayson is moving the ball down the field track that's a great point keelan they'll come out again in the wing t brent remains the deep back he's touched the ball the previous two plays it's second down and short and this time schuster will look to pass over the middle deep for the first time and just outside the outstretched arms of senior wide receiver christian smith and he had a couple steps on his defender he sure did i don't know if he if we have a replay if take take a take a look at number three the safety bid on that play action tim sanders tim sanders and kwon you have to that's what happens that's the power that's a powerful um match-up of play action your safeties get lost in the in the backfield and they can't react and that was just off his fingertips third down in short the 11th play of the drive upcoming as grayson tries to keep this drive alive down seven to nothing after the early pick six and it's cameron brent again and i do not believe he got it feeling he's stacked up immediately looks like the entire defensive front for caulkwood wasn't fooled at all and although cameron brynn is a is a big tough guy he had no chance one on four fourth down and one as you pay attention to his defensive end from the right side come off the edge he just stayed at home and made an excellent play for tfl tackle for loss fourth down and grayson threatened to go for it now it's a time out on the field we'll take a time out as well that was a time-out call quit because we're going to take a break a pretty much for the whole game so far so they want to get off the field right now [Applause] and there's a delay a game that'll back them up five yards looked like they were just trying to get cockwood to jump there so they'll back the ball up five yards tonight five yard penalty fourth down we'll have a punt as you see hunter try to get up under the center on the first attempt to get this defense jumping off a hard count they were very disciplined well coach football team punting for grayson will be number 61 junior charles maguin and back deep to receive will be number seven for caulkwood that's safety o'shea williams it's a nice punt that hangs up for quite a while wheels is going to go ahead and take it at the 15-yard line he's taken down almost immediately after a 38-yard punt and for the first time believe it or not with 5 33 to go in the first quarter concord county's offense will take the field that's one good thing about i can obviously say what grayson did on offense they milked the clock they know they have 21 new starters they know they have a lot of identity out there they don't a lot of question marks that they don't know but this powerful offense of cold quick county is coming on the field that's what you want they only have five minutes and 33 seconds left to play football in the first half that's great strategy by the offensive coordinator there you go grace quarterback daniel mobley young man wasn't the starter last year for baldwin but he won three games in relief of cole seagraves and threw ten touchdowns in the process here you see your region's bank starting lineup for caulkwood the big guys up front led by senior center gabe mobley who's heading to play football at georgia state and you see the guys who will be toting the rock saheem king and javonta woods will be the guys in the backfield carrying the ball for the majority of the time here for the packers a no gain on second down at the 20-yard line and here you see the region's bank line up for the grayson rams and really the only guy that has any playing experience on this team is the junior defensive end justin young these guys are being asked to do a lot they take over for really every guy you saw in that graphic we showed earlier who have graduated and now gone on to play calisthenics is a very good defensive player [Music] passing here on third down and five and sat behind the 10-yard line by number 28 outside linebacker that's the senior christian raw and no sooner did we say that they had an inexperienced defense it's a sack on third down and it'll force a fourth and long and a punt for caulkwood look at this hot reed coming off the edge the offensive tackle last minute want to pick up number four the cornerback from the secondary that's a great strategy for for the defense on grayson it's a loss of 13 yards and boy for the first time taking the field in 2013 a bunch of inexperienced guys did an awfully good job against the culkwood offense a team keelan that really wants to run 75 or 80 plays today and win on tempo fast-paced team like you mentioned a real nice three and out but a good job on the grayson defense it's a short punt taken at the 43-yard line by number five the junior defensive back jordan hayes and grayson will set up shop inside culpa territory with 3 48 to go in the first quarter down by seven a 29-yard punt for baltimore county as we talked about the beginning of the game of the least experienced group and i talked about one of the keys you have to attack this offensive line once again a mistake by the off the offensive tackle on on the edge didn't pick up the blitz we attack dolphins in line we get a 13-yard sack with the loss and now we have the ball in their territory he busts inside the 25-yard line knocking over a couple pokemon defenders and he goes down just shy of the 20-yard line they'll mark it at the 22.5 yard line a 15-yard gain in the first down for the grayson rams and they've got a player down on the field it's tight end number 88 chase king and you see the replay here just nice a nice zone read up the middle following the meet up front nice game checking out the looks like the right ankle of senior chase king 511 205 and while he's being tended to we'll check out this grayson resume this could be a huge blow for him now keelan this is a team that's only been around for 14 years they've already been undefeated and won a state title you see in 2011 last year many could say it was a disappointing season but that's only because they started the year not only number one in the state but many prognosticators had him as the number one team in the country region championships four out of the last five years and here's the here's the stat that really jumps off the screen here quarterfinals are better in five of the last six years that's a powerhouse yeah it's it's it's always hard when you're you're ranked number one that everybody knows about you it's harder for you to stay on top now when i played at university of georgia we had a chip on our shoulder when we was ranked 15 14 13 we always ended the year better it was the years that we was at number two the number three that we didn't finish so well so when you're at the top everybody want to slice you down that's a great point keelan first down to 10 here after the nice cameron brent run shotgun here for schussler and they'll give it up inside again to cameron brent and has played very well by caulkwood minimal gain yard yard and a half tackle made again by the junior linebacker bull barge as you can see you can see grayson trying to do a little fast trying to get coco a little tastier on medicine you would think this defense will be ready for they have to see it every day in practice here's the first run of the game for aj stinson number 24 the junior z back and he's trying to find the edge and that's what they want to do to these guys when they send him in motion keelan is it not trying to get them the ball on the run yeah that's that's the point of you want to get your defensive alignment move you want to get the outside linebackers tired and it's all about the defense side of the ball if you can hold contain just like they did on the outside by the cornerback uh taif smith they can make those plays on the running back he can help your defense out and they can run inside out to make those takes third and seven from the twenty shush will air it out immediately and guess who's throwing it to mccall mccall drops it it wasn't a lateral so it's a dead ball there and something of note here keelan it's fourth down but you're at the 19-yard line coach khan said he would be comfortable kicking a field goal but not until he made it to at least the 20-yard line he's at the 19 let's see what he does as you can see they're coming out on the field right now it'd be interesting to see who we go with that's kicker because you have a sophomore giving it giving the kicker a run for his money looks like doing the kicking duties right now anyway will be sophomore danny conlon coach said he'd be accurate from about 37 and this will be a 36-yard attempt to get on the board for the first time in 2013 and trimmed down what is now a seven to nothing lead by caulkwood and at nowhere near i believe somebody from caulkwood may have gotten a hand on it but either way the field goal is no good for grayson so after spending really the majority of this quarter on the football field as an offense they have no points to show for it right they have no points to show for it to show you how tough this and tough and discipline this defense is of colquitt county yeah as you can see there he just didn't put all his foot in there looks like he got a piece of the tee as well i thought they're just based on the the rotation of the football that someone may have touched it and here they go to the ground immediately does caulkwhip and getting to the outside is saheem king for the first down nice run by saheem keem getting to the outside of the of this defense and and creating some space for himself coming off the sideline as you can see it's just out of the pilter's pistol formation the right guard trying to pull and great block by the receiver to open up the scene a 17-yard run for king who shared time last year but this time despite being a little bit small in stature he will be the go-to guy here for caulkwood throughout the regular season you will see a lot of number 27 javonte woods too and one thing about the rush props to offense there's a lot of personnel so there may be a couple of other guys in the game but right now saheem king is going to be the go-to guy in this tempo offense empty backfield now after motion by sahim king and it's a pass to the outside by todd boyd the tight end let's check in downstairs real quick and get an injury update from raven toronto raven hey guys i'm behind the bench where number 88 chase king is getting his ankle re-taped the trainer looked at him and he said do you want to go back into the game and with a very slow head nod he was like yes i'm watching him go through the ankle drills i guess you go through whenever you sprain your ankle or you twist it and he doesn't look too good he's squinting he's like hurting he's in pain he's gripping the side of the bench so it'll be interesting to see if he actually gets back in there back to you and trey up in the booth an incomplete shovel pass there to king but keelan i'll ask you this as a player you've waited to be in the dome and play and so that's no no doubt why he was giving a reluctant yes to his coach because he wants to get back in it's time to take it up baby let's go hit the field baby the first game of the year and you're a senior you should get on the field pass to the outside and he breaks the tackle only the safety to beat and another first down for the call quick packers to sophomore wide receiver keel pollard one of those guys that not listed on the depth chart as the starter but one of those guys is going to come in and out of the game here for the caulkwood county packers a big first down pass play yeah we talked to talked to coach earlier today hey colleen potter is one of those receivers dependable he has great hands that you see right here and he's going to go to him when they really need a big play this is a momentum change and they're doing a great job by moving the ball fast yeah it's high tempo now and you'll see a replay it's kill pollard once again on the outside and he's doing a good job breaking tackles and getting that what do you call it yak yak baby yards out the guy was at the catch first down and 10 caulkwood just inside the 25 yard line a 7-0 lead with a minute seven seconds to go here in the first quarter and they're going for the whole shebang and it's just over the head of kiel pollard as they go toward his direction for the third consecutive play number 40 for grayson on the coverage that's senior renardo win hey i can understand why they're going to go to him for a third time on on this drive but great great job by the way by the cornerback putting his hands on on parlor because hey big receiver you want to put your hands on them early to mess up the timing of the route and that's what that quarterback did on that play oh and there's a nice tiptoe catch made over there on the sideline for caulkwood county's mark juan green he's the starting z receiver and you see a lot of guys now getting in the action feeling yeah if you look at this this is this is the guy mark on green coach says he's still learning the offense but hey he's trying to earn respect of his teammates but look at that great eyes and hands late hit out of bounds defense kennedy's half a distance to the goal first down both feet in inbounds that's how you earn the respects of your teammates now you cap it off with a personal foul half the distance to the goal so as if that wasn't enough and those is one of those young mistakes um new first year starter number 19 that is something that you're going to see you're going to see a lot of penalties coming from the grayson defensive ball and offense in the shotgun again you'll see that a lot [Applause] a seven yard touchdown catch from daniel mobley all this was was delayed slant it was a number two was running a straight flare to the outside and four consecutive this team has had a quite a journey they have a lot a lot of history with it that's why they brought coach in to make sure they can continue that history down south georgia now everybody loves their football in down south georgia so after the injury it'll be second down and 11 after brent slipped down on the first down play the call in motion will give it once again to brent who's getting his number called a lot here in the first half and he'll maybe pick up two yards on the second down carry and once again grayson will find themselves in a third down and long situation where they almost predictably keel and have to throw the football and i'm looking at this defensive line i'm looking at this defense they have their hands on the hips you know you if i'm an offensive coordinator i'm going to attack them i'm going to keep running my speed sweet my bread and butter that's one thing that this coach talked about you talk about i'm going to stretch the edges i'm going to continue to make sure these kids get tired oh i like that they fake the toss sweep and come back to brent but once again the speed of juan patillo the free safety he comes up running downhill and makes a nice tackle on third down and long and that'll bring up a punting situation for grayson juan patillo an impressive player i know you got to like those free safeties coming down and laying the boom of course man you got to be the hammer not the nail [Laughter] yeah he is hopping a little bit right there one thing about this player he's a d1 football player i bet you coaches out there practice every day looking at this kid in the punt for the second time [Music] for grayson and it's a beautiful punt after the roll it'll trickle out of bounds just inside the 15-yard line and that's where caulker will set up shop a 46-yard punt and look there momentarily like number seven o'shea williams might pick that up and try to do something with it he wisely let it go out of bounds what they can get him out in space he could be a dangerous player but it's going to be short of the first down and they'll have to punt once again exactly man this this coach has a lot of specimens here you know i think every coach has their first 10 to 15 plays and that's just to get a feel of what the defense is going in i think coach is starting to get a feel of his offense now to kind of get a feel of his game plan low end over in kick by o'shea williams and it bounces off the grayson receiver and it's recovered at the 37-yard line by the pokewood packers another grayson turnover as it cares off the shoulder pad of junior jordan hayes wow the quarterback not a great kick here only 11 yards but hayes unable to come up with it because really your perspective on a punt is not normally five or six yards up in the air it was a very low wobbler and he wasn't ready to receive it and a huge mistake there by grayson and caulkwood is now threatening once again inside ram territory first just kind of kind of scared of defenders coming at him false start snapping fraction offense theatrics by mobley he uh was a little bit too theatrical back there because he his body kind of jerked and you're not allowed to do that are you trey i i can understand what's going on with with with the coach right there and his reaction to the referees but this game could easily be 28 to nothing right now because of escape mistakes by colquitt county right now mobley to pass again this time he has time and he'll go long down the middle of the field for juvanta woods and he lays out and almost my great coach of mine a wise man always told me sideline warning on the pulpit county bench sideline warning one important thing one of my coaches told me big big time players make big time plays in big time games and john quinn woods just dropped a big time play in a big time game full extension there for woodsy darnier came up with it he'll be the guy that spells king in the backfield he doesn't normally get the ball in the air they go deep once again down the far sideline again just a little bit too long this time intended for tight end boyd depending on the coverage was win as you can see this is the play action i saw this receiver receiver kind of laid up a little bit then when he sees the ball he wants to speed back up ah if he would have ran his route completely young kids if you're looking at home you see that you always want to run through your routes full speed 30-15 bootleg mobbly down the field and he's looking for boyd once again he had him at the 20-yard line but just overthrew him coachwood county offense has something going right now they just need to calm themselves down relax if i was a coach i'll call the timeout right now just to get this ball club under go inside hey you got to go with the meat and potatoes up the middle if you need the one or two yards to to make it a third and shorter or second and short you've got to go with your full back nine carries for 38 yards thus far for brent as he gets past the line of scrimmage the original line of scrimmage before the penalty picks up about seven or eight on that carry and they'll go inside on the trap play to stinson and it goes nowhere might have even lost a couple of yards another great job by the linebacking core there for the caulkwood packers and of course who's in the mix one of those guys whose number starts with 90. this times it's alex williams maybe he's getting jealous of parrish and pitman getting all the all the publicity hold on big fellas i want some love too baby i want when coach is going to call your name even though you're a sophomore you got to be ready and that's one thing that culture county has they have depth and when you have depth you have players when you have players you can coach them up and when your neck when your number's called you have to be able to make a play and he made a play but once again it's coming back because of penalties it's still kick huh it was a very very exciting football game but as the graphic said so succinctly the georgia dome not exactly been home for coach rush probst and the faulkwood county packers empty backfield here on second down for caulkwood mobley hurried as he throws low for keel pollard who's been the go-to guy in the passing game so far that one just a bit too low and incomplete the fourth third and long the quarterback feet in the pocket was just sitting his feet wasn't set he got got a little pressure from from the defensive end there he had to reposition himself reposition himself nice blitz on the outside and just a poor throw again empty backfield five receivers out in the formation flushed out of the pocket and eventually sacked by number 31 inside linebacker the senior davis harrison and another big play in the second sack of the day for the grayson defense second time harrison coming off the edge on the right side of your screen there as you can see him fighting it's clawing great call by this defensive coordinator of making sure that they get the sack the loss of 13 will force another punt here so the grayson defense which has really been on the field for the majority of the game so far has forced two consecutive three and outs on the colquitt packers after colquitt started inside grayson territory and here's o'shea williams looks like he's going to go for the rugby style kick and that's probably his best punt of the day and he gets a friendly bounce down inside the five yard line well done by o'shea williams it'll be first and ten for grayson inside the five to talked about at the top four four eight 40-yard dash those guys are getting to the ball man i wonder why the colleges are coming to see them week in and week out at practice uh michael paris is getting a lot a lot of offers from the sunbelt conference so look look to see these guys playing on saturday night pounds of meat out there pursuing the play and there's a couple of big guys including pittman for the sack and it's a six yard loss on second down and six and that'll take the ball all the way inside the 40-yard line they'll spot it here keelan on the 37-yard line two big plays in a row there by the big fella inside jamaica pittman yeah as you see uh quentin hamilton getting the piece of the pie too as well and pittman getting down there this lets you know the strength of this of county schedule which ladies and gentlemen is a gauntlet and that is the understatement of the season this is the toughest schedule by far you cannot argue the toughest schedule in georgia here's their out of region play grayson hoover alabama next week on espn they've also got to play lovejoy and carver columbus a team that's ranked in the top 10 right now and does he get rid of it before the sack it's a pass to mccall and they're going to count it'll be short of the first down but a heads-up play there by hunter schuesler able to get rid of that ball for a game there on third down it'll be a punting situation but check this out lovejoy keelan is the defending uh runner-up in the highest classification hoover is what they've always been of course going back to his old school for coach rush probes and carver columbus is the number four ranked team in the triple a classification and then you go into region play which is the toughest region in the state of georgia yes it is no breaks for the state there's a no brace for this team but you know what the coach said he's going to he's going to accept this schedule because you know what he he picked it that's right he wants he wants a challenge and he wants to give his kids an unbelievable opportunity to grow to learn to learn from their mistakes and that's what's going to build character in these individual young men out here on this football field if you don't have a challenge how can you grow as individuals and that's what he preaches in a time-out called here pre-kick much to the chagrin of maguin who got off what would have been his best kick of the night let's take a look at their 2012 resume you see three regular season losses there but you're talking about losing the north winnette new maple athlete they're a very very good well-coached team and they like you said this is a tough conference the tough region that they're in and you can't take that away you just can't take that away the players that's gonna excitement here in the dome all day we've had a lot of close games and this one i'm sure in the second half is going to follow suit but we've also had a lot of interest online and now joining me is our social media correspondent grace olsen hey grace i know you've had a lot of people talking to you all day long i sure have you know gbb one of the slogans they love is worth sharing so us here at me just say we had a great school opening uh this year and and i'd like to cite just a few of our accomplishments and uh highlights our graduating class of 2013 received almost 6 million dollars in academic and athletic scholarships we also had two students who received certificates of excellence at the deca international competition in our yearbook we were selected for the herf jones ideas that fly book which is very prestigious award in the world of yearbook we had four region championships and just a couple more at the literary competition and then our golden rams competitive cheerleading region champs fourth year in a row mark okay it's time now to play that game are you smarter than your students pick a question out of our gpb helmet don't be shy bring that helmet up here give it up the metro pcs corkical classic between grayson and caulkwood colquitt with a 14 to nothing lead let's go downstairs as raven toronto stands by with head coach mickey khan of the grayson rams raven coach saw you talking um to one of the referees over there can you kind of tell us what was going on he just asked if i had any any questions or comments about the first half all right well that's not as intriguing as i thought it was going to be no but uh obviously not how you'd like to start off the game what were the adjustments no you know we defensively were playing really well um you know they're really good up front on the defensive line and you know we just got to figure out a way to to get some first downs and score some points so we got a lot of work to do all right well good luck coach thank you all right guys back to you in the booth although a 14 to nothing lead for colquitt keelan this game has been an odd one because of some of the statistics grayson's offense has had the ball practically the entire first half zero points to show four i think kulkwitz offense has had the ball five minutes and they've scored 14 points thanks to the td on defense right it's uh it's very aggressive playing playing about a call quick county on the defense side of the ball toy that's what you really want out of your defense you make it easier on your offense when you can really score on defense there's a there's a touchdown right here by number five there getting there looking at the quarterback in his eyes and making big plays that's the number one key on defense that's number one goal that you always want to do if you score on defense you can make it easy on your offense [Music] overall you see the tackles up in the middle of these two guys of d1 football players guitarist pikmin and hamilton on the outside of the linebackers too and let's not forget about pearce he's been a big best event for them on the defense side of the ball that's why grayson's having a hard time with their passing game today keelan it's got to be a huge luxury for the caulker county packers as you mentioned to have two guys that are 300 pounds in the middle michael parrish and jamaica spitman you mentioned both of them will play on saturday well right now they're playing on saturday here in the cal classic and they're racking up some weapons they haven't really been able to get the guy that you spotlighted at the top eris mccall they haven't been able to get him the ball much is part of their offensive philosophy in the second half going to be to get the ball to number six in space it has to get get him the ball in space he's your screen guy he's not a between the tackles type running back you got to give him on the outside you get him in the space and give him a great opportunity to get those defenders alone and then he can get some positive yardage for him but you have to call the right play for him let's talk about the caulkwood defense or excuse me offense for a second they were stopped by the grayson defense three consecutive times three and out so coach mickey khan had some things to build on in halftime but just no points to show for it you know is that something that you'd spotlight in halftime to try to you know this is the silver lining guys we've been able to stop a high tempo offense three consecutive drives that's that's confidence he has young players out there first time starters out there 20 of them this is this is the key you have to strike them where it hurts you attack them straight up the middle you have to go deep balls you have to go misdirectional plays give these guys a chance you have the momentum right now you have to keep the momentum because call cook county keeps dropping the ball every time they get the momentum and it's messing them up with penalties yeah the irony i think with the grayson offense is that they're a time of possession offense and they're winning in that category but they're just not winning on the scoreboard right now right and that's what's most important trey you can't win a football game if you don't score points right that's what i hear oh man let's see what they have in store for us in the second half colquitt will receive the second half kickoff so grayson will have to use that defense that we just spotlighted who has held calquet to three consecutive three and outs and they'll be calling on them to do the same thing here to start the second half so they can try to get back in this football game kicking the ball off will be number 99 sophomore danny conlon and back deep to receive for colquitt will be ty lee and sahim king and they kick it to the up man who fair catches it at the 23-yard line and so that's where the caulkwood packers will start the second half with a 14-0 lead as daniel mobley and company come onto the field here you see mobley's numbers in the first half six of 13 for 73 yards and a beautiful throw to keele pollard really the highlight on offense for caulkwood kill i really don't think that he hasn't even got himself going yet he he hasn't got mobley hasn't got in the rhythm because i think it's the time of the possession it's been a lot of time on the clock for him and a lot of left add-ons for him to go out on the field to get himself in the rhythm because here we go right up the middle and a huge run right up the middle for sahin king we talked about how they needed to get him the ball in space but he put the ball on the turf and let's see if it is a fumble we're awaiting the officials mark it was a great run but he lost the ball there at the end i'm not sure if he was down or not they're going to call it a fumble for sure but it looks like they're going to give possession back to caulkwood as he takes a big hit and that ball was definitely out before he hit the ground but another packer was there to jump on it and the packers will maintain possession first down and 10 after the long king run at the 42 yard line big play to open the second half 19 yards by sahim king yeah you got to have that ball high and tight because you never know when you're in the open field you can have defenders coming from out of nowhere hitting that ball and that hey if if if this was college or nfl this ball would be this play would be going the other way this obviously this is the key for high school they do not have the monthly giving up inside for the first time tonight to javonta woods and he gets awfully close to a first down himself before he's written down by daniel fennell inside grayson territory at the 47-yard line as we can see here uh coco county getting back to their bread and brother butter running things in the spread pistol formation here for caulkwood this time and again for the third straight timer run i believe it's king on the carry and it is as the 5 8 165 pound junior gets off the turf after a loss of a yard nice defensive play by danel fennell getting in the backfield and middle linebacker corrupting some headaches for the quarterback in the running back empty formation motley looks to go to the air no one's available so he slides down wisely at the 47-yard line [Applause] probably feeling the heat in the pocket there he had to make a very very good decision by getting down there on the stop was the senior nose guard number 98 keyvon burke for grayson and it brings up third down and long again empty backfield for mobley rushed out of the pocket he throws up a prayer and it falls incomplete almost intercepted there by number four for grayson and that's jaquan brown the senior linebacker nice heat off the edge once again from davis harris but for the third time tonight he almost had him again but great pressure off the edge he was looking for sahin king there and grayson's defense steps up once again after colquitt gets inside ram territory they force a punt and jordan hayes back deep to receive at the 15-yard line o'shea williams with the punt and it's a beauty and a fair catch is called for and made inside the 10-yard line so grayson will have their first offensive possession of the first half trailing 17 to nothing after the 39 yard o'shea williams punt how many how many free safeties have you seen hunters in your lifetime you didn't punt no this guy's all over the field phone he returns punts and he punts he does he's the deep man on special teams no matter how you slice and here you see hunters schuesler his stats i'm sure he wishes they were a little bit better what was it on there was the 28-yard pick six he threw third play into the game and that's how colton got on the board here's an early run they test the left side of the conquered defense for no gain yeah this this grace in office just have to come i know they're trying to stick with their bread and butter and trying to attack between the tackles but their hearts are against them right now you have 300 uh 300 2 300 pound defensive linemen that are is holding up the the clocking up the middle for you you have nowhere to run all right wing t formation this time they have aris mccall split out as the lone receiver on the near side brent is the deep back they give it to brent once again and he gets met right in the hole by big jamaica pittman as he gets taken down for no game number 95 has been everything that he was built to be to begin this football game keeling and he's doing a great job as you see he's fighting off to the offensive alignment with his hands what makes a good defensive tackle who can shed and make plays when you're getting double tween and that's what he just did pitman is going to be a great defensive division one football blocked by one guy chipped by another and he still makes the tackle two receivers in the formation this time schussler will pull it out and he's lucky to get pat back to the original line of scrimmage but the ball comes out on the big hit as he goes down and that ball is awarded to culkwood county fumble recovered by the packers it'll be first down and 10 inside the grayson 20. i want you to pay attention to this hit that got the ball out of the quarterback hunter's arms watched it wait for it wait for it wait for it boom there it is [Music] junior linebacker bull barge came in and got the got the foamer recovery great heads up play on the defense side of the ball coach mickey khan asking an awful lot of his defense to stop caulkwood once again for the fourth possession in a row saheen king standing beside loudly mob will air it out on first down he's getting flushed out of the pocket and picked off as they exchange turnovers it's number 40 renardo win the senior that answers back for the grayson rams and now they've got the ball first down and 10. holy moly win has been in the right place at the right time all night long he saved a couple big plays by by being running bumping the run with the receiver right there having no football late bad decision by the quarterback the win is right there pass was intended for the senior tight end todd boyd who caught 47 passes last year he's by far their go-to guy in the deep passing game and renardo win makes a great play breaking on the ball to get the ball back for grayson that could be a huge shot of the arm for the rams as they go to the air now on first down and it's complete for the 36-yard line to aj stinson nice play usually after after a turnover they always look to have a big play and look at aj stinson they're trying to get the troops pumped up keelan yeah that's what they need they they need a little trickery they need something to get them going this team has been trying to pound the ball up the middle we uh play at the play they just can't get anything going between the tackles stinson in motion he'll get the ball on the jet sweep as he tries to turn the corner which is awfully difficult to do on this speedy caulk with defense and there you see again number 11 juan patillo coming up from his free safety position to hem in a very speedy junior aj stinson it's a big down right here second alone you have the momentum grayson's offense obama's offensive coordinator i'm trying to go a little tricky here to get him off the hill christian smith the lone receiver as they go to the air once again they're going deep and it's picked off intended for mccall and it's sutton something down the near sideline all the way to the 40-yard line and here within the last three minutes we've had three turnovers and michael sutton the young man that put the first touchdown on the board with a 28-yard pick six does it again here for caulkwood county and second pick of the evening once again there you go you have hunter staring down his route it's very easy for a defender and suddenly he is the mr interchangeable on this defensive field he's a very good player for them he pretty much does everything with a nice read boy he has good hands i didn't play defensive back but the young man went up and got the ball at the highest point i know that's what he's taught to do great job there as they go to the ground here after the interception and it's sahin king once again you know with the three consecutive turnovers for these two teams going immediately to the ground with this high tempo offense does that get the guys calm down a little bit no it does it it keeps you honest you know you know this happens all the time that either things right here can occur because the gym is flowing a lot of things are going to happen in the football game but as a quarterback and as a leader on the defense side of the ball as well you have to be able to maintain your head because one thing that's constant is changing the football game that's right number 28 senior outside linebacker christian raw forcing the incompletion on second short which brings up third and short two backs this time in the shotgun formation we'll give it to the beatback as saheem king five foot eight but he plays much larger than that and he picks up the first down for caulkwood and they'll move the sticks and this grayson defense keelan has got to be gassed right now yeah their gas danelle fennell met met king up in the middle for a nice hit he's rolling around on the ground right now yeah fennell slow to get up they go immediately to his right leg and keelan something that you notice here in the early going of the season with with the heat is you may see a lot of cramping in this game although they went directly to fennell's knee to check it out we hope that it's just a cramp we'll find out shortly saheem king 11 rushes for 71 yards so far on the game here you see a good shot of fennel there you go just a very nice tackle but no telling what happened to his knee at the end of that play you got a lot of meat coming down there landing on him well this would give a good opportunity for their defense to get some rest on the grayson side of the ball i tell you what keelan grayson's schedule is is a tough one as well as they play in one of the state's toughest regions region eight and they've scheduled some pretty tough out-of-conference play as well as they will go all the way to florida next week to take on miami central before they begin region play so they take on the number two team in georgia a ranked team from florida and then they go through the gauntlet that is region eight they in my opinion have the inside track to win that region but you never know what could happen but how about going all the way down second game of the season after the kell and playing in miami miami florida baby at my neck of the woods baby miami central is a very good football team and i wish we would have played teams out of state like like how kids are doing these days that's one thing that the experience i did not have in high school football playing the daytona beach mainly but we played some good football play action rolling out to the right is motley and he finds javonta woods and he picks up the first down and a few more before going down at the 12-yard line eventually tackled by number 21 for grayson and that's sam henna the senior nice play action fake across route coming from across the screen devonte woods he actually plays basketball too as well he's his little self this time to give this to king if he does a great job of navigating his way through three white jerseys to make something out of nothing it'll be a two yard gain on first down well i'll tell you this kolk county his offense has a lot of weapons and coach does a great job and utilizes these weapons keeping the defense of grayson very honest they can't stack the box they can go on the outside they can't lift too much on the outside because they can go up the middle same formation again pitch to the deep back king he gets the corner as he turns up field and escapes an arm tackle inside the five yard line and they'll mark it at the two it'll be first down in gold packers just bad pursuit by this grayson defense when you get there you got to be able to top it two minutes tackles three missed tackles great run by king [Applause] king 83 yards on 13 carries as caulkwood threatens a heavy package here you'll see them do this on goal line situations no wide receivers mobbing under center and king forces his way into the end zone and we await the official's call but i believe that's a touchdown for the packers and it is the far line judge has got his hands up in the air and palkwood has just taken a three possession lead it is now 20 to nothing with 6 15 to go in the third now troy i want to point out this offensive line group up front these guys are the least experienced group on the football team look at that hole up in the middle for keem you got it my hat's off to the center dave modley a senior who worked at work worked himself off into becoming a really good player and earning that starter but that's the least expense group and they got a touchdown for their running back there trey kaufman county with this three of the corkical classic continuous live coverage of the kel classic all day today on gpb falcon county looking awfully tough as they get set to kick off to grayson we had some high drama here in the third quarter keeling with some wacky plays which eventually led to a nice abbreviated drive for pulkwood and then a touchdown yes man a lot of drama as you like to call it we have some quick turnovers back-to-back turnovers and big-time plays trey a lot of excitement in this building tonight martinez boots it deep confusion cedric cassay finally picks the ball up at the 12-yard line and gets down to the 17-yard line take a look at these turnovers major major hit coming up there to release the barista fumble on that plate and get the ball back and it comes back out grace [Applause] [Applause] the very next play coming on down king running up the middle for a touchdown a lot of drama is correct take a look at our touchdown drive brought to you by the technical college system of georgia seven plays 39 yards just a minute 47 that's the second time today they've had a touchdown drive under two minutes and here you see eris mccall the grayson playmaker up ended on the far sideline by michael sutton who has been everywhere tonight two interceptions one of them for a touchdown and there a big stick on mccall you know i talked about being the hammer and not the nail who's the hammer on that plate trey i believe mccall was the nail i know that for sure second down to two yards to go a nice pickup though from a call on first down but he paid for it brent's the deep back in the two tight end formation here no receivers for the rams a man in motion is mccall they give it to him on the jet sweep got a couple guys out in front including lane seal the guard and they do a good job of picking up the first down before mccall finally slips down at the 36 yard line that'll move the sticks and grayson here got something cooking two plays into their second possession of the second half there's harrisburg i thought he stayed in the locker room at the halftime man i really did coaches really have to utilize their talent and you know he's a great specimen to what they do but they have to get the ball in this man's hands a little bit more chase king flexed out way to the left side but mccall decides to cut it up inside another good game for grayson on first down and this is really more what we're used to seeing from grayson run run run five six yards at a time and it brings up second down and manageable if they can stay ahead of the sticks and not fall behind the outlook is good for the rams it really is one thing one thing they got going for them they got a little momentum on their side okay you know they're doing a lot of misdirectional plays and cutting back up but they're really trying to stay away from that middle right oh brit inside nice run come to the outside it's a foot race with patio 20 20-yard line 18-yard line patio does a nice job of saving the touchdown but a huge run and up over the century mark for 41 yards on that play is cameron brent and now the rams are cooking deep inside packer territory as you can see this is a simple trap right up the middle with their full back mr mr dependable brent who's been there for them all day long there it is right there you would think a little bowling ball he had some speed on him too trey look at that look at that ball high and tight young man is just a sophomore keelan 5 890 pounds you know they graduated robert kindichi and we all know about his prowess on the defensive line but he was their bruiser inside it running back last year so brent's being asked to fill those shoes and filling them he is 4 33 to go in the third quarter he's got 14 carries for 115 yards we'll take a helped off the field for caulkwood that's number 33 tamerico reese the linebacker and he's suffering from those cramps that we were talking about look at the way that the young man is walking talk about how much that hurts even though it's not long term hey it's hurt it hurts it's not long term it's short term thank god goodness but i'm gonna tell you my first day at the university of georgia it was like 92 degrees out there on that turf and we had uh 110. we had 110 and those are you have to run from the goal line all the way to the other goal line and 16 14 15 seconds for the skilled players and you had we had we had 21 of them trey and guess what happened i fell out after number six and i was hugging the goal post over there man and i had a full body cramp so i feel you young fellow nicole following behind the lane seal for another nice pickup on first down for grayson as they get the ball over the 15-yard line and grayson's running game is cooking with the one-two punch of aris mccall in the sophomore cameron brent let's see if this cocoa defense you know coats talk about having a bend but don't break defense this is something that they need to take hold on they're in there in their territory this is the red zone they have to be a little bit stronger and they're going to need that meat up front and jamaica pittman and hamilton and perez formation again this time it goes to the dive man first man through the hole cameron brent the sophomore a nice run again on second down gets awfully close to another first down and right now they've got the caulkwood defense on their heels i can speak from experience it is awfully tough to handle this wing t offense keeling when you do not know what's coming and you got two guys that are both carrying it well i ran the winning team high school tray and that's that's what it's built for it's built you have to be able only strong survives in this type of offense the offensive lines are going to be in shape these boys up front whoever's not in shape is going to win this flip is going to lose this football game and it seems like that grayson's offense has them on their heels because this defensive line is very tight as you can tell those d-linemen have their hands on their hips right now they coaching to try to have some rotation going on to give those boys a couple breaks but hey those are the d1 players and they really need to step up right now but kudos to grayson offense who's running a lot of misdirectional plays going up the middle going to the outside moving that meet up front getting them tired you see mickey khan there he's starting to get the eye of the tiger too he knows how much this possession means even though we're still three and a half minutes away from the fourth quarter they need points right here and the measurement was just shy so they'll come in real tight with cameron rent in the backfield and shoes were under center and schuster will follow his own number and everybody knew that was coming he'll be awfully close let's wait for the measurement here this is one of those situations where it's in a right foot spot or a left foot spot yeah you have to see officials been doing a pretty good job tonight just making sure that these kids are protected and they're getting the right calls and face masking and spotting the ball we have to give kudos to them it will be a first down which means it's first down in goal for grayson the first time in this football game that the rams have had first and goal and they'll stay in a heavy run formation this time sweep stinson kicked out touchdown what a block by number 74 for grayson morrison it's a touchdown for aj stinson [Applause] it's a great job by getting to the outside getting this defense off the hills thinking they're going to go up the middle and they got outnumbered on the outside that's something that coach talked about we talked to him this week my team is a hybrid of wing t we have a three back system and we are our overload attacker and they attack the left side of grayson's defense and they overload it and they were successful in the red that's missed p-a-t for grayson looked like defensive lineman kevon burke in to kick that away and it was missed and what a great block and great vision there by the junior running back stencil yeah going right after that tackle pulling coming up there just tackling him waiting on that block and finding a scene that's what it's all about to a good running back waiting on your block sometimes you can't do it by yourself that's why it's called teamwork snap was good on the p-a-t it was just missed their place-kicking duties handled by sophomore danny conlon and we'll see if that single point ends up looming large later on in this football game three minutes 17 seconds to go caulkwood still up 21-6 grayson was there easily keeling their best drive of the football game as you saw the three main guys in their offensive scheme get the ball not only was it cameron brent and eris mccall but there you see stinson there with the punctuation on the touchdown what's important eight plays 83 yards or more that that's that's unbelievable they took some time off the clock two two minutes and 50 seconds off the clock that's why that d-line was tied they're not used to being on the field for that long remember this is the first game of the year so these guys have to get into football shape they have to be able to play a full football game i'm going to just miss the b.a.t with the kickoff again trying to keep it out of the hands of those deep guys and it rattles around like a pinball machine and it's going to be marked down somewhere around the 15-yard line and now here comes the caulkwood offense under the leadership of senior quarterback daniel mobley who's had a good game a touchdown pass earlier in the game their second touchdown to keele pollard he's been a nice field general out there but you said something that stuck out to me keelan is you don't really think this guy's hit his rhythm yet no i don't think this quarterback has hit his rhythm just for the simple fact there's been too much going on in this ball he hasn't had a long drive he hasn't had a defining statement and that's what he really needs they they like very very quick and they just can't seem to get something going justin young coming from his defensive end position to drop syed king before he can get back to the line of scrimmage first time we've called young's name and number he's a junior he's really the only guy on this defense keelan that saw playing time last night yeah he's a very good player for them coaches holly on this guy if you look at his size look at his hands he's very aggressive and he can go with you in the potential single back formation here for mobley as he puts it in the belly of king and he'll give it to king king gets past the original line of scrimmage before being written down by junior daniel fennell good to see number nine back in the game for grayson after the early injury yeah went out there with a little knee injury but he's back out there this is the first game of the year you have to be in the game he know how he knows how important this game is to him and his teammates it's time to play ball trey both backs now lined up to the left of mobley and he'll throw it to boyd his go-to guy and look at boyd go as he finds a seam up in the middle of the field an easy first down pitch and catch from mobley to boyd boyd 510 165 pound senior 50 receptions last year headed to georgia state if they wanted to get things cooking in the passing game keeling that's going to be the guy that's just a nice five-yard five-yard stop void is the best receiver in the state of georgia in his coach's opinion that was that was a great statement that stood out to me when we talked to his head coach this week hey if he's the best receiver in the state he only touched the ball twice tonight you would think we need to put the ball in his hands a little bit more we got another cramp down on the field that's number 54 justin young who we just talked about that's a young man keelan that they moved from defensive tackle you talked about his size and defensive end last year he played in the middle now they have a lot of expectation for him as they move him to the outside he's getting 10 to 2 over there on the sideline with one of those calf cramps and i tell you what if you ever have one of those calf cramps it hurts like like heck but they can get him off the sideline get some fluids in him and he can get back on the field that's the good news it seemed like you know my partner coach told me this one time he he brought he brought out a big jar of pickle juice you know i don't know if we have any old school guys out here that listen but pickle juice was the remedy for pot warner football and they used to give his own little pickle juice before the game so we want to cramp up and i look to my mom and my dad i'm not drinking that stuff seems like they need some pickle juice let's take a look at what coach russ probst thinks about playing in the kell and what it means to his football squad it just doesn't get any better than that i just think that uh the people that that put the corky kill on have done a great job we're privileged to play in it enjoy playing in it and hope we get to play in it every year i know that's not possible but we we have thoroughly enjoyed it mobley handed it off up the middle to saheem king who's really starting to pick up yardage in large chunks now as he picks up eight or nine on first down as caulkwood threatens to get into grayson territory once again they're already up keeling 21-6 in this football game and their offense is starting to move the ball yeah this is very important for them to get into a groove this now if you if now is the time to put the coffin i really think pitching catch believe it's javonta woods on the catch it's another first down for colquitt actually that's boyd on the reception as they're starting to make him get him a little bit more involved in the offensive game plan here [Applause] [Music] four receiver formation on first and ten at the 49-yard line of grayson mobley drops back gets flushed out of the pocket shovels it ahead to sahin king he's got running room and a nice block at the 30-yard line it's a foot raise 10-5 touchdown but there's a flag that is going to be a block in the back folks and a great block it was but it was in the back and even rush props knows it as he comes out on the field to talk to o'shea williams he knew that one was getting called back immediately it was a great shovel pass ahead by mobley a heads-up play [Music] and there's the block in the back yeah yeah that's coming back illegal block in the back offense kelly is 10 yards from the spot of the foul replay the down one of those situations keeling where i don't know if the block in the back was necessary take a look at this ball control this is something me and you have been talking about the entire game that's what grayson wants right there 21-31 what they don't want is what it says on the scoreboard 21-6 yeah this is misleading you know 47 plays 194 yards that's pretty good job on offense but what they're not getting is the points they're not getting the points that's what you need to win football games well the good news for grayson is they they made something out of their last drive they took the ball down the field in two and a half minutes and scored a touchdown but now once again their defense who's been on the field for a long time as evidenced by that last graphic we showed is being asked once again to try and stop caulkwit and again caulkwood county is inside grayson territory and if it weren't for a block in the back they'd have another six points on the board once again those mistakes and those abilities again it'd be first down and ten ball will be spotted on the 44-yard line when the officials move away and let the young men play [Applause] shoot themselves in the foot there trey look at this crowd out here what do you think about this crowd pretty good crowd out here i tell you what this the town in georgia that i think travels the best and maybe it's because they've had a lot of practice at it i think people from moultrie they support that team i tell you what they shut that town down when the packers are playing and they all showed up here at the georgia dome to support the number two ranked team in the state a team that we mentioned four straight appearances in the semis or more but they haven't quite gotten over the hump they want this to be the year they take on the heart yeah we talked about breaking the seal and the reason what's going to what's going to prevent them from breaking the seal is maybe their schedule we talk about how hard their schedule is at county this coach takes pride in the schedule he takes pride in how his teams travel we talked about the diligence that they did yesterday they came on up uh four day in the morning they got to atlanta had meetings uh had lunch had dinner and they prepared for meetings this morning and here they are at the dome this team rides in style as you can see they're and how fired up he is right now he cares about his players and he cares about the situation i tell you what rush probes is king of the castle down there in moultrie they know what a good football coach he is we talked about the fact that they won a state championship earlier under coach jim hughes that's one of our trivia questions and we show our graphic again about the georgia dome and we just this is on the heels of coach probst just telling us in the clip we just played how much he feels privileged to come up here and play in the dome even though they haven't had tremendous success and keep in mind coach rush props wasn't here for these losses right right right so he wants to come here and he wants it to be said some of my players have never even been to atlanta it's quite an experience for these guys to come up here and play in the big time rolling out is mobley looking for boyd and finding him on the far sideline in a first down for todd boyd and despite the penalty it's first down and now it's first down again you got to like that as an offensive coordinator nice first down after first down after first down nice speed out if the cornerback is going to give you that give you that yardage they're not going to come up and bump and run and and coach's opinion best receiver in the state that's no respect so you get that given what they're taking pistol look here molly immediately up no drop looking sideline boyd and his momentum carries him out of bounds but a nice completion a perfect pass from mobley to todd boyd he goes out of bounds at the 11 yard line third straight first down play for caulkwood county you talk about matchups boys sitting there at 6-1 6-2 receiver very very good speed and he has a man to match up on the back side they went three by one back on the back side is automatically going to be a slant or fade and they found a great matchup backfield with king in motion bodily calling his own number picks up a couple yardage a couple yards on the scramble and let's take a look again at the boyd catch take us through keelan if you see this straight simple fate he saw the isolated the cornerback there he saw it as a man-to-man match-up my guy is better than your guy that's what basically coach is saying and they we're won in the region's bank red zone second down nine along nine mobley fires end zone intercepted by grayson number five jordan hayes the free safety reached the quarterback's eyes and it's a huge turnover as grayson gets the momentum back keeling this is a big play by a player that's had some difficulties today dropped a punt snap and here he totally redeems himself with a big pick in the red zone one thing when we talk about coach we talked about jordan hayes and he said jordan hayes will be and he's working himself into becoming a good player this is just a bad read by daniel mobley i think he let the ball slip away from him here because it was just a simple pitch and catch he had a guy open and his ball just sailed on him a little bit yeah there were two guys in the route and they were stacked it couldn't tell whether he was trying to throw the ball to giovanta woods or deep to todd boyd but he threw it in that in between area jordan hayes does a good job catching it takes it outside the end zone and his first town grayson deep in their own territory but most importantly for grayson he keeps points off the board and here's mccall far side and he's stacked up once again by all that meat inside parish and pitman among them for the caulker county packers the scene every time cope with county gets to a level or they just seem they want to do something well a turnover happens a turnover happens you have to get credit to this defense of the of the great of grayson they're they're hanging on in there they're fighting they're not giving up even on the stat on the stat sheet that gracie has their number but they are very they are fighting very hard to keep themselves in this ball game toss sweep to mccall for the first down and now they're starting to get that young men in the game plan him and cameron brenton aj stinson orchestrated a beautiful drive the last time grayson had it and drove all the way down the field and scored a touchdown and there's a huge gain on first down for grayson that's got to make coach mickey khan a happy camper although he's not happy with the scoreboard as we wind down the end of the third quarter he certainly he's going to have momentum as we start the fourth quarter colquitt county's got the lead but grayson's got the momentum 21-6 here as we get set to start the fourth quarter of the third game of the corkical classic here really makes a living on the edge and conquers making it tough for him today hey speed kills on defense or or it can kill you on defense if you don't wrap up and one thing about what's going on right now for the coil quick county on defense they're playing good defense linebacker right there cj johnson wrapping up making as the rams were in this formation most of the time with their tight end flexed out on the right side this time to fake the give to stinson and give it to brent up the middle and nothing new and as big jimayas pittman was there to meet the junior running back in the hole for no game that's a big boy there man he runs a 4-8-40 wow at 290 6-1 look at those young men fill the hole jamias pittman with 86 tackles last year 10 tackles for loss six sacks pre-season all-state this year a guy that when he was a sophomore a couple years ago coach props said he will probably eventually be the best d-lineman i've ever coached and he's making a case for that here tonight ball on the ground still on the ground inside the 10-yard line who's got it at the six that's a lot of meat in that power right there we probably won't be able to find the ball right now [Laughter] and grayson retains possession but takes a huge loss on the play [Applause] it will be a 22 yard loss on the miscue for hunter schussler [Music] as you see right there just tried to do a double reverse it just could not handle the handoff the second time as you see both teams fighting for the ball at the bottom of the pile and it's fourth down and forever a little bit of a personnel gaffe for grayson as they only had 10 guys on the field they now get the 11th guy out there but punter maguin has to punt from his own end zone this is the first time tonight that coco county will be able to work on the short side of the field o'shea williams takes it at his own 40 picks up two or three yards but there is a flag over on the grayson sideline [Music] 36-yard punt for maguin not bad out of his own end zone let's check the flag but it does look like sideline warning against the grayson coaching staff sideline warning that's now uh there's now been a sideline warning for coach probst and coach khan in this football game but either either way caulkwood's going to get the ball if my if my math is right this is the fourth possession of this football game that they have started inside ram territory yes sir and they sprint out onto the field with king and woods the running backs behind and to the left of daniel mobley he'll turn around and give it to saheem king and he's taken down immediately by a blitzing linebacker daniel fennell this is the fourth quarter this defense of grayson really has to step up and make some turnovers in this in this football game trey but they really need some play makers out here they really need a three and out to get this game this game going so far so good for him on first down but airing it out on second down is bob lee looking down the far sideline to kill pollard and who's on the coverage none other than renardo nguyen the senior already with an interception and keelan you've talked about this guy all game he's done a great job of being real physical with keel pollard out on the sidelines look at this kid here just look at the arms arm strength of him look at the the length that he has the reason why they haven't placed on their number one receiver on that side it's because of the physical specimen that he brings he can help out the bump and run coverage he can run with him and that's what you want you want a bigger corner that can match up well third and nine no tight ends airing it out immediately is mobley looking for looks like boyd out here on the near side the ball was not an accurate one and so boyd was hit immediately by senior corner cortez hall and it's going to bring up fourth down and now grayson's going to have a chance to get the ball i got to say keelan so far in those four possessions that caulkwood has started inside grayson territory grayson's forced three and out three of those four times that's what i talk about they really need to stop on the defense you know drop pass by bird by excuse me by boyd i think it was just a bad read too as well he probably need to go down the field because the defender was right there o'shea williams to kick from his own 48-yard line from the grayson 48-yard line back deep to receive his haze and this is straight up the chimney it'll bounce down right at the 25-yard line and carry him out of bounds they'll mark it at the 24. not a good kick but you can afford for that to happen when you're kicking from your opposing team's 48-yard line just an 11-yard punt let's check out where grayson has began their drives so far in this initial game of the season what sticks out here for you kelan oh sticks out here they're always starting themselves right there in the same spot from anywhere from the 25 to 30-yard line it can't seem it can't seem to get past that 30 man so from a field position standpoint kolk what's winning and really grayson's lucky to not be down in this football game by a wider margin than 21-6 with 9 19 to go in the game here you see mccall in open space lowering his head and picking up a first down nice run before o'shea williams meets him at the 37-yard line but it's a first down for the rams 12-yard run for eris mccall as you see mccall coming here just getting the balls meant to go outside but he cuts it back up and he gained those 12 yards nice run by mccall good blocking too from a call by owen painter and here you see mccall again fighting his way up to the 40-yard line positive yardage on first down once again but keelan i i got to think that with 8 52 to go in the game down 21-6 time is of the essence which doesn't necessarily favor a running team yeah definitely does not favor a running team you know like we talked about earlier you have to get hunter in the position where he can throw to the sideline he can actually help himself move those chains and also stop the clock right now i understand that your bread and butter is running the football getting to the edge but that's not happening right now another tight formation this time the tight end flexed out to the left motion man is mccall toss sweep wide side stinson tries to get a block maybe a hold and rush probes is absolutely livid on the sideline he thinks stinson held his defensive end and i don't know that i can argue with him alex williams was in pursuit stinson got his body in front of him and might have been a little bit too much too handsy but no flag as you can see it was a nice little tug on the edge right there as you see number 24 holding the lining in there referee did not call it so it's third down and four for grayson that stinson in motion play action to brent schussler flushed out of the pocket nowhere to go as the big fellas collapsed on him on the inside helping make that tackle was defensive tackle malcolm parrish and also big number 95 once again jamias pittman and also defensive end junior alex williams when it comes to the passing game for grayson what their their trouble is jamaicas pittman and michael press as you can see the push up front they're having their way with those offensive alignment that they're getting penetration anytime this anytime hunter steps up in the pocket he's going to meet some meat and unfortunately it's not buying his receiver's time to run those routes so that's what you call a cover set great cover stats lined up at the left defensive end and forced schusler inside and now punting again is madugan but they'll blow it dead with a penalty just before he gets the kick off and grayson who really needs before the kick delay a game offense five yard penalty fourth down grayson who really needed to do something there on that drive came up just short and here you go with another penalty for grayson like you said keelan something you expect in the first game but their penalties have seemed to come in areas where it's really hurt and there you see the penalty story just six for 37 yards but it seems like their six penalties have been more costly than the 75 yards worth of penalties that the packers have wrapped up in a beautiful kick from mcgoogan o'shea williams taking over the shoulder on the fair catch right around the 15-yard line a 47 punt yard punt for number 61. one thing that coach rick used to used to do for us at georgia he always used to put up the penalties week in and week out and you know one thing that helped us to see those those buildings and see what time of possession that it hurt those penalties and we had to run for him you know not individually we had to run for him as a team and this may be a good suggestion in the first game of the year show your team your penalties put that tape on and let them know how critical it hurt you guys person 10 from the 15 for caulkwood who leads 21-6 they give the ball once again to sahin king and i've really loved this young man today saheem king he's got playing time a lot last year but he wasn't the go-to guy and he is this year and uh sometimes you wouldn't think a 5-8 running back would be your go-to guy but he is proved that he is very much deserving of that role in this offense his show he has showed a lot of maturity he's letting his team know that hey coach put the load on my back feed me the pill baby i'm hungry now they'll go hurry up and they'll check with the sideline before the play second down and five ball just over the 20-yard line this time again king with woods as the blocker he's got open field and runs over a couple grayson rams at the 32-yard line and that will move the sticks as he runs over junior free safety jordan hayes you know what i admire about king right now trey as he continues to keep running the ball north and south i i don't think i've seen him uh hit the sideline and run out of bounds he loves contact and one thing offensive coordinator really loves someone that loves to move the change because he always makes the first guy miss 20 cash for 115 yards that is a great game for the first time in the catholic church classes play clock winding down and expectedly so as they try to milk the remaining six and a half minutes off the clock they're content to run the ball here with king but this time he's stacked up inside by a host of grayson rams including outside linebacker number 28 christian raw yeah you would think they would try to milk this clock try to seal this seal this football game and have a nice long drive back down to south georgia but there's still a lot of football to be played particularly to the turnovers that this grayson team has made on the defense side of the ball if they can't stop their running game you have to force them to throw the ball in third and loan now you see coach props holding his hands up he's basically giving the offense the stop sign when he lowers his hands that's his signal to them that they can get back up to the line of scrimmage and play football and again expectedly so saheem king far side justin young with the tackle at the 32-yard line it'll bring up third down and long but the clock continues to tick grayson with three timeouts also culkwood with the full arsenal of timeouts in this game they don't need him as much as grayson does how soon in this fourth quarter you expect grayson to start burning those to's not too soon because you know what you still have a lot of time on defenses a third down right here there's no need for you to burn a timeout but if you're a defensive player the lead of one of his defense is that nosetown tackle kevin burt the senior i'm worshiping to every defender out there hey strip the ball strip the ball let's get a turnover strip the ball you have to communicate across the board because your back is against the wall right now nine guys in the box here for grayson expecting run but instead mobley passes it and he finds a receiver on the outside in mark juan green the first time he's touched the ball today and it's a big one it's a first down it'll move the sticks and maybe now grayson will have to start thinking about taking those timeouts on defense the junior receiver nice catch and nice driving his feet i like how the quarterback was calm in the pocket he looks to his check down and green is continued to work those those squats paid off in offseason what'd you think trey yeah they sure did good job there though riding him out of bounds for the senior corner nate peters second time he's been in on a tackle on this possession two backs in the backfield king and woods to the left and behind mobley three receivers and it's given straight up the middle to king before he's taken down by number four for grayson that's jaquan brown the senior linebacker his defense here like i said they they you you didn't you didn't stop them on third down you think the coach is thinking now hey we probably need to burn one our time out soon here you saw that time of possession stat earlier keelan it's got to be awfully difficult for this grayson defense to have been on the field for so long and while at the same time trying to stop an offense that wants to run high tempo and they want to run as many plays as possible yes sir i won't be surprised to try to take a shot outside to receive him or match up here's woods carrying it up the middle and he's taken down immediately submarine at the 47-yard line by daniel fennell the linebacker who gets up gingerly he already went off the field earlier today gutsy effort by that young man here in the game and again mobley looks to the sideline to his coaching staff not only for the play but also for the go ahead when to snap the ball as the clock continues to run down under four minutes now four minutes and 46 seconds to be exact he still has 10 seconds on the clock to burn motion by king to the outside they'll throw it molly looks sidelined it's boyd he's going to be thrown out of bounds by sam henna and you're right keel and that's going to be awfully close to a first down i like the play calling choice by coach there something safe high percentage pass not much risk in this pass nice speed out and hopefully they can keep the chain smooth but the only bad thing about this is stop the clock and they'll mark him just shy of a first down as well fourth down and short their offense stays on the field you run a play here you play field position and punted away with a 21-6 lead it depends you know you know this type of coach just like we know him we heard his voice on on the phone he could go for it but it looks like he's going to punt he's going to find and give his details well this is the deal this is the coaching if there's a book somewhere this is straight out of the book and as keelan just mentioned coach props not always out of the book kind of guy no he's not he could compare him to les miles i think with lsu a little bit the riverboat gambler i liken coach probs to that a lot but i think this is the right move here to punt it away and we'll take a quick break three follow the high school game closely you know that georgia produces some of the best high school football programs in the country and along with that comes some loyal and educated fans on the game of football so i asked those fans to take to twitter and and facebook and answer our trivia question for the game now grayson won the state title in 2011 we want to know what was the only year that colquitt county won their state title the answer 1994. laura bannister is our winner for this one she answered the question within a minute on twitter so she's going to be getting a gpb sports t-shirt guys in the booth thank you very much grayson not only did they win a state championship back in 1994 this season marks the 100th year of palkwood county football you want to know why these guys are so passionate about football they've been playing it for 100 years down in moultrie yeah they don't have anything else to do down there man but chop wood and play some football what do you think maybe it's the country i don't know how good they are at chopping wood but they're pretty darn good at football as o'shea williams punch the ball away handles the bad snap very well and jordan hayes just gets out of the way as the ball will be touched dead down inside the five-yard line so grayson as if the task wasn't tall enough after the 43-yard punt will have to start inside their own 5-yard line trailing 21-6 with just three minutes and 11 seconds left in the contest yeah it was just it's in this defensive hands coach feels like his defense is is ready to go and to put the seal you have three minutes left 11 seconds to go now i'm grayson's offense that's what i'm thinking i'm thinking to get to the get to the uh pylons quickly get work in the short side of the field nice short throws flint black back backs out the backfield getting aris the ball get in the flare screams get to the sideline that's supposed to be your offense in a two-minute drill and here they come out because they're inside the five yard line very tight formation with brent the deep back stinson sweep right side behind the guard lane seal and he gets north and south a nice spin move and he's eventually taken down just over the 10-yard line they'll spot him about the 11 and a half yard line so a nice six yard carry but they've got to hurry up as the clock continues to run they do still have three timeouts but they're trailing by two possessions they would need two touchdowns and a two-point conversion if they want to at least tie this football game and time is running out on the grayson rams yeah you're on the short side of the field here you have three yards to go you need to watch the short side and here's mccall jet sweep right side he's running behind brent got tackles chase king also out there tackling he does a great job of getting a couple extra yards and then getting out of bounds just as you alluded to keelan and it is time now to take a look at our play of the game which is brought to you by sprint turf take us through this interception feeling uh this is just a nice read by the cornerback there making a break on the ball michael sutton has made some big plays have two two interceptions in this game it was he set the tone that's one thing that coaches always talk about set to tone from the first first series and he took advantage of that that's the play of the game for absolutely caulkwood has not trailed in this game and has not looked back since then grayson's played some good defense in spurts but their offense has not been able to get going and that play wasn't able to get going either as it was blown dead [Applause] timeout grayson and grayson calls their first time out of the game with two minutes and 28 seconds to go down 21-6 you see a good shot of mickey conover on the sideline and keelan i'll ask you this we talked to coach khan this week and he said look i want to win the game just as bad as i want to win every other game but he realizes that he's still in what he called evaluation mode is he going to have some good stuff on tape as we as he goes into the north gwinnett game next week which will also be right here on gpb trey that's not that's nothing but coaching points all over this football field tonight you know the score right now is 21-6 you know a couple calls here a couple of big plays there he he could have could very fairly well be tied up right now because of the couples of turnovers if his offense would capitalize on the turnovers his defense gave gave him today it could still be a good ball player it still could be a good ball game right now well keep in mind his defense which forced three three and outs on culkwood all three of those drives began in rams territory that defense only gave up two scores today we saw the play of the game which was the third play of the game schuessler throws the pick to sutton so seven of those points up on the scoreboard were not the responsibility of the defense so i think all things considered first game of the year going up against the number two team in the state i think their defense did pretty well exactly the defense did a good job they had some fight in them trey and that's one thing that you have to respect there's stinson half back pass and he's got an open receiver but it's picked off by juan patillo at the 46 yard line great job by the free safety in that should seal the game barring something absolutely out of this world juan patillo another guy a man after keelan's own heart because he's a free safety walk us through his job here on this play number 11. as you see the safety back there staying the you have to be the father's back and that's your job it's the end of the game you know they're going to go down the field you know they're going to give you some type of trick play great job by the way about it's free safety juan patrido see a good shot of quan there the senior he was a backup corner last year getting some looks by schools the likes of middle tennessee his coach obviously thinks he can play for a much larger school than that he told us there was one player there was an infraction on the play so grayson will maintain possession after the quan patillo interception and they'll have another crack at it here first and ten from the 42-yard line still just two minutes and 14 seconds to go in the game and a timeout is with two minutes left but coach probst is still coaching and he's still fired up when he thinks his team got a raw deal you know that's that's that's why this cocoa county they know they got a good coach you have a coach who he's trying to set the tone for the season he's letting his fans know hey look i'm gonna fight for your sons and i'm gonna make sure they're treated right and that no matter how it looks those fans are gonna stand behind his decision to go out there to the ref call the timeout and at least just talk about what's going on because it has been some um some i would say momentum changes that has hurt this team well that's why these young men dressed out on this near sideline and the black jerseys love that guy so much because he's always as you said going to battle for him he knows they know that their coach has their back shotgun schuesler looking for jordan hayes who's in it wide receiver for the first time tonight and the free safety turned wide receiver makes a first down catch but takes a lick at the 41-yard line that'll move the chains and as soon as they reset him barring a time-out the clock will wind and begin to run once again hunter stood nice in the pocket at the play-action pass and shotgun stood tall and found a receiver down the middle on the crossing round three receiver formation with no tight ends brent stays in to protect but he can't protect him from the big guy jamias pittman big sack and you see the 4849 speed right there it was only a matter of time before he trucked down hunter schussler when you're predictably in a passing situation those big guys can pin their ears back and come full speed ahead hitman said i had enough of this man we need to end this game i'm ready to go home great effort by demise pittman he's been all over the field tonight trey same formation again for grayson second down and five just inside pulp the territory trailing looking for a miracle here all over the place and getting the ball out just before he gets his launching by parrish as hunter schuesler falls incomplete and shustler just lucky to hop up from that one after having 311 pounds land on you pittman 140 yard line paris next play pitman one play paris next that's how it's gone all night tonight these two guys worked well together you always play to your partner to your right and to your left for you to their level and that's one thing about the great sport of football mccall reversing field looking for the sideline trying to get out of bounds does a good job not of picking up yardage because i don't even believe he got back to the line of scrimmage but he was lucky not to go down as he ran right it was he was hemmed up he reversed field and he got out of bounds it'll stop the clock with 106. well this game's all but over but the rams are still fighting and it'll be a timeout here on the field this time it's grayson taking the time out that leaves them with one with a minute six seconds let's recap flag on the play when you talk about these kids if you talk about the preparation and the things that they they have to overcome to to get to the dome this is this is this is a lifetime opportunity yeah false start offense five yard penalty still fourth down i had a great opportunity to play in the dome a number of times sugar bowls chick-fil-a uh chick-fil-a bowls and also sec championships here and every time you come to the georgia jones as a player no matter if it's a part one of football high school football or college or the nfl it's quite an experience so just imagine what these kids are going through right now they have their families and their friends and their teammates fourth down likely the last play on offense and it's intercepted by none other than michael sutton his third pick of the game and he's got no quit as he gets chased down from behind by an offensive lineman and wide receiver segment three interceptions on the game nice punctuation on this one for the corner michael sutton who's had a tremendous game and as keelan mentioned a moment ago set the tone with a 28-yard pick six on the third play of the game unfortunately this one's coming back demaio's pittman there they got him for a late hit on the quarterback but yes there's no other you can you can't take away from the athleticism of this this is michael today he's been all over the field before him he set the tone for the game and he obviously wouldn't end up at the end of the game so this is definitely coming back they're roughly passing on the demise this will likely add up to nothing but this is the second culprit penalty that has kept this last drive for grayson alive and giving them at least a little bit of hope they might be able to do something on this last drive but keelan right now they're just playing to put stuff on film as we talked about earlier to give them an opportunity in football speak to get better each week right this is one of opportunities where you go back sit down and watch film like you said and you point out the good you point out the bad you're not supposed to hop on the this this team has 21 new starters okay that's on the offensive side of the ball and the defense side of the ball you have to edify your players you have to let them know hey you did a good job hey we're proud of you this is what we can do to get better from this week to next week that's how the conversation needs to go going leaving the dome today yeah and let's also remind our viewers at home that these are out of region games only region games count toward playoffs these games today will serve as bragging rights they will serve as a barometer for where the teams stand because to start a season having only played in a scrimmage you don't really know when the live bullets start flying right against the number two team in the state in this case paul quitting the number 10 team in the state and grayson where your team really stands this will help them sort of iron that out who's the starter who's the backup especially as you mentioned in grayson's case with 21 new starters they've got to find out where these pieces fit maybe a guy's starting a defensive end right now and he needs to move inside the tackle maybe he needs to play linebacker all these questions are starting to get answered today we talked to the coach and one thing the coach always said hey we have some guys that don't even know how to get lined up we have some guys that you know what it's not it's not it's not the guy's fault he said we take ownership as coaches sometimes we just need to do a better job making sure these kids are better well coached prepared better to put themselves in a better position so they can be successful on friday nights and we await the fourth down play clock is wound and runs [Music] 45 seconds to go here hunter schussler [Music] he'll carry it himself and pittman chases him all the way down the field inside the 40-yard line and makes the tackle and grayson does have one more timeout we'll see mckeelan after they reset the sticks if he bothers to take the time out or not it seems like he's putting the second teamers in there well it and they deserve it man they came up you said you had some they have some players that haven't even been to the city of atlanta okay it gives them opportunity to go out there and play a little football man well i you know i thought hunter might have picked up the first down there he was actually shy so it'll be a turnover on downs but you're right some of the personnel now in on defense for grayson is not the front line guys and you see molly and company lining up the way they did to end the first half they'll be content downing the football here with 31 seconds to go right and you hear the moultrie faithful on their feet to congratulate paul quick county on what will be win number one in the 2013 campaign a campaign last year that saw them make it all the way to the semifinals before being knocked out by the eventual champion norcross and in their 100th year of playing football they get win number one let's go downstairs to raven tirado who's standing by with coach rush better bottom line before i say anything i want to say we all take a moment of silence for the young man at greek side that tragically died on the football field i've thought about him all day i had a player tonight on the field in 2002 it's tough my heart goes out to that community that sort of overshadows today because i know the funeral was today in my heart my heart's with those guys today
