It's time for game, 1 of the Metro PCS, Corky Kell classic, the tell, Longhorns the Chattahoochee.
Cougars looks brought up in the broadcast Booth of the two guys who will call this game Bob, and John Wilkerson and thank you very much.
Mark Harmon, we are underway here at the Georgia, Dome and Cal gets the kickoff.
Has won the toss and deferred, Carol start off at the 30-yard line.
As you take a look at starting quarterback, Matthew McGuinn mcguigan, he's just a junior.
He's what coach Derek called guy, that kind of a paint by numbers quarterback is, you take a look at his particulars pretty good-sized Junior.
There he's out there not to make mistakes and chest manage the game as best possible out of the shotgun First and Ten.
They passed a monger.
No, check that 26.
Tell her hunky Taylor who kill on the couch and we'll pick up about seven yards as we take a look at the offense, the offense of line of cab pretty good one, Mathias Barber Waller Hogan and then cooing Berg and your skill player Julie and Burris Jamari more dalen.
Read Michael Valero and Brendan Langley starting lineups brought to you by Regions Bank.
It's time to expect more and already our Penalty flag.
Looks like the defense jumped offsides there.
Of course, you cannot be drawn.
Our encroach.
You can't come back, like, in the pros in the college game.
So if they want offsides, they can't get back.
When you were going through that starting lineup, John, you're going to hear a lot of the same names when they play defense as well because they got eight guys, that play both ways.
False start offense, Henry Evans, your Reformation took a look at the rest of the officiating crew there.
Derek Cooke in his fifth year at Cal high school and he's building a program at Cal you know I I think there's several things that frustrate coaches but at near the top of the list is where you gain 78 yards on first down in end of a penalty to negate that in as at long rather than second and short.
Well, first game of the year, you're going to have those kind of miscues intended for monger.
if you take a look at the Chattahoochee defense, Majeed by Leo who Jake Thompson and John Sanders are your flood guys.
35 along - Sykes is a good one.
Along with Hellman Weisberg, pearlberg and Clancy, and he'll Halloween son.
Justin Jackson rescue to think about it and mcguigan, had to get that ball and get it off, quickly, charging in with Adam pearlberg.
There was nobody in the region for that in the referee looked around kind of went towards his pocket because again in high school you can call intentional grounding.
If there's nobody in the area, the pros they would never even think about that.
But a net call, he was thinking about it, he did not call the ring up the fourth and long Chattahoochee.
I Lisa Jimmy Murphy and Lisa will call fair Catch.
At the 40 yard line is, we greet you from the Georgia Dome game, one of this quintuple header.
I guess you call it John Wilkerson along with Bob housing Bob.
As we saw in that first possession by Kel, it's the first game of the year.
There's going to be a few mistakes but they'll iron out those wrinkles.
Well Cal has athletes but it's a question as to where the points are going to come from, where the yards are going to come from, we will see different receivers.
We will see a running back by committee.
So it's going to be interesting to see.
We know, Derek coat is cook is a great coach, but this is a defensive oriented team right now and I expect defensive oriented type game especially the first game of the season.
Is we get going here First and Ten for Chattahoochee under Center, Travis Marshall Marshall fill in the first quarter of the game and that's the CJ, legged and wagon across the 45, stood up at the 46 yard line, that's about as far as Going to go as we take a look at that.
Travis Marshall is favored.
Player is Tim Tebow.
And when you look at that Chattahoochee offense and we're number 15, he almost looks like a Tim Tebow clone, very similar makeup and we learned on Tuesday that he is committed to the Naval Academy and on second down looking to throw he finds Leggett again and when I get to the line of scrimmage and that's about it a host of Kel Longhorns there on the stop.
Top, including number 44 Zach clover.
As we take a look at the rest of the Chattahoochee offense brought to you.
By Regions Bank is time to expect more Victor Williams, Nick Williams that cloud has Mac and will, and brain.
Keith are your offensive lineman calling Lisa.
Doug Phillips, Chase Nelson, CJ leg and every Ward.
Would you take a look at Terry Crowder in his ninth season as Chattahoochee head coach as a state championship to his resume, two years ago with the Third and four.
Marshall depicts the - trust me, kid, has a first down flag down when he's brought down but there's a penalty flag and that's going to be a blacking penalty or a holding.
Either way, it's going to come back and almost sure Jan.
I'm gonna have to try to fit my spots when Chattahoochee gets the ball and Coach Carter wants to snap the ball within 15 seconds.
He wants to run 65 to 70 plays in this game.
You can see how quickly they get to the line and then they want to snap the ball as soon as they can.
Very slimming, the top of offense and you see when Ivan Meyer was head coach at Florida and you know, I kind of equate to what comes and does right now with work to chat more, severe offensive coordinator.
Here's the kill defense.
We've McGuire World, auntie and Brandon Hernandez, they run a 3 for CJ Williams.
William higbee, Chase McFarland and reach Sewell, all your linebackers and the secondary that secondary might be second to none with Brandon Larry donators.
Off and repeat third down, you'll see Brendan Langley and Quincy Monger, a couple of guys that will be going to the SEC last year.
They had 400 tackles and 16 interceptions, just among their defensive backfield.
So they are arguably one of the best defenses in the defensive backfield in the state, third and long.
Do you jam?
Marshall plenty of time.
Nobody opens.
He'll take them round.
Get to the 40 from the Lance about it.
Loses the football.
Until has it first book.
Critical turnover for the Cougars.
As Jay Moxie makes the big play.
There you see him he's trying to make the extra yard and again all that was going to do is get it down to third down and 10 his leadership here.
He should have tried to go down right there instead of trying to spin for the extra yard that the max Leigh knocks the ball out.
It was looked like was actually falling on by a Chattahoochee player and maxillae recovered it.
So he knocked the ball out and got the ball back by taking it away from one of the linemen and Chattahoochee, Zach looks like John Henley on the offensive line for Chattahoochee, had the ball momentarily in the Moxie.
This is able to rip it from him.
Well, it Coach told us.
He was the toughest guy on the defense Ronnie's team.
Don't let that five foot six hundred fifty pounds fully.
Oh he is a tough player and he just showed it there on the first big turnover the game already got the ball mount with a plug-in the Moxie and Moxie a couple of yards and that's about it front down by Chattahoochee, she's well cheap.
Bhalil, if we have a moment right now we're looking at Matt on the screen right now, but Brendan landline number 21, they're all everything heading to South Carolina.
At 8:00 this morning, he had to be approved by the team.
Doctors even play in this game, he had he's got a case of mono and they just had to evaluate whether he was, and he's a two-way player.
So we'll see if he plays more defense and offense, a little surprised.
He's in there and offense.
Right now, he's in there.
The top part of your screen on the wide out and instead the up the middle too mopsy, mopsy cops, it up, and looks like Chattahoochee.
He's got it, and they do another big turnover as miles.
Bill comes up with the fumble.
Looks like the law, say he was down by contact will see a replay here because we won't be able to hear the sound.
But let's see what happens here.
We're boy, they missed that one.
Yeah, it looks like the ball is coming out right before.
His needs went down, instead tell keep possession and have a third and 3.
Very key play there as they will that he was down.
When the ball was clearly coming out that replay show.
But passed over the lens.
You can hang on.
Can I have a fourth and three your kind of in no man's land.
The way Kel plays defense, I wouldn't be surprised to see him kick it and try to get him inside the 10 yard line, but normally fourth and three around this part of the field, you'd go for it and it looks like Kelly's going to do that.
So big play because that will flip the field if Chattahoochee can hold here on defense.
So far, tough, stop tough.
Start for tell quote about how they call timeout, Matthew mcguigan.
I'm completely one of four passes for seven yards, Mikell does take a time out to think about this with fourth and three.
You have the option of trying to maybe drop off Sighs and if that doesn't work, but now you already took one time out, so you'd have to waste two timeouts doing that.
So it looks it looks to me like they're committed to it as we get ready to tell you little bit about what we think are the keys to the game.
And here's the keys of success.
But you by Russell for Chattahoochee quarterback, Travis Marshall must lead the way we haven't, had a chance to talk about transfer calling Lisa been.
He is an outstanding player.
He's going to play offense, he's going to play defense.
She's going to play special teams.
He's been fun to watch for Kel actually.
It's I said therefore best players.
It's actually their eighth best players are on the field for 48 minutes their entire offensive line and their entire defensive backfield play all the time.
And of course we've already talked about, it's going to be running back by committee for the Cal Longhorns.
Kind of interesting, the strength of the Kells offenses, the line in that back field, the strength of the Longhorns defense, excuse me, the Chattahoochee defense, has the linebackers.
So there's kind of some mirror images of these two teams is gonna be a very interesting man, shall we go forth and short?
Let's see what they do.
It's going to be will prove egg by McGregor and the pass is complete.
He has the first down the Brendan Langley after the 30 yard line.
So, fourth down, conversion works for the Longhorns.
We we've talked about the Cal wine and, of course, rolling out aloud that, but he had a full 45 seconds here before, he had to throw the ball up, receiver, like Brandon Langley, has time to get opened, look at the time, he has As he bought time for himself, but got some good blocking and that's really what set up the first down for them.
Was him having all this time in having the patient's right there and I think that's the essence of what coach Cook wants.
McWhorter back don't make mistakes was the key right there in the middle.
So often a kid carried by Jamal anymore.
So often a kid especially a Junior and his first start of the new season might be a little anxious but he waited and Bradley knew what he wanted to do.
Made the play work for the first down now.
They're definitely getting down there near that scoring Zone.
We like to talk about on GPB, and that was a key play for Chattahoochee.
Not to make the Stop and for Cal to get the first down.
Well, a couple things have worked against Chattahoochee and use drive on defense first.
The fumble, the wasn't called and now K able to convert on the fourth down.
put past the Langley, nice move there, across the pretty happy to see that text and most importantly running after the touchdown, beautiful call there at single coverage and I tell you what it was, it was all planned in Langley after that great timing on the One miss right there and he is gone one.
Good blacked out.
Feel maybe a little grabbing of the Jersey there, but Langley didn't need it anyway, he was down the field for the touchdown, the wing Bartholomew was uncovered, therefore Chattahoochee extra point is good, and cow takes place first, place seven nothing here at the Corky Kell, Classic on GPB Sports.
And welcome back to the Georgia Dome Kellogg 7-nothing.
Let's introduce you to the third member of our crew down the field Rayven tirado.
Good morning Raven.
Hey, thanks, Mark, we've got quite the matchup here, already with the Kellogg horn sticking on Chattahoochee.
I hear Cal has quite the secondary with guys, like Brian Langley and Taylor Hinkle, but they're going to be tested today facing off against Chattahoochee, with likes of Travis.
And CJ legged are running back.
So it's going to be exciting to see these guys face off here on the field and really set a precedent here at the Corky Kell back to you mark.
Thank you very much Raven.
And last drive by Cal was an impressive one.
And I think Terry Crowley realizes that offensive line by cow much bigger line than his defensive line is really set the tone on that drive.
And a lot of experience there are pieces of 62.
Senior Barber is a set.
A is a 225-pound junior.
Their centers is a junior and then the other guys are seniors up for the Five Guys in the interior line, our seniors, not not necessarily the biggest guys in the world, but User Cal scoring Drive response, about tcsg biplanes, 43 yards, about 2 and 25 of possession time.
Mcguigan was the California back.
Mcguigan, was 3 of 6 for 21 yards on that drive.
So he's now starting to warm up and give the coach Greg Eric cookie.
Derek Cooke rather a heads up for going for it on fourth down early in the game.
And it led to the touchdown who Jay Leno Close up on him but a good return as he gets it out to the 38 yard line.
And that's where Chattahoochee will set up shop.
We've attached a second possession at a chance to talk about the running backs were Chattahoochee, will get a chance in a minute, here's one of them right here, having a nice run back, he's the one who's going to cut outside, he's going to be the slasher, the two, and then Chase Nelson's more what they call the tank, but we sent you sent me some highlights of both of them, they both know what to do, and they get in the open field, will try to describe them again.
Some people You are saying the pair are the two best Junior running backs in the state and we get to watch them here.
Now, is Ted, who she has the ball for the second time?
Another very much sought after by SEC ACC schools and we just Juniors.
The other kid, they call him the tank Chase Nelson and gets across the 40 to the 41 yard line before, he's brought down the way, they're all defense, the way they were described.
And but we got to see a little bit on the tape.
We saw Get is more of a patient Runner, he's going to and one of the highlights that you showed me, I saw him cut five different times on the one play to score a long touchdown.
On a play.
I saw from the from the Maverick positioner from the Wildcat position.
Chase Nelson, just went straight ahead.
You didn't do didn't Flinch it.
All went 94 yards for a touchdown.
There's Nelson trying to outside and nothing there will pick up about five yards, will be more the Straight Ahead Runner and then you'll see the more Breakaway Owner from Leggett, but they're two, good ones as they try to establish the running game after going to the passing game, the first series of downs.
Well, you know, Chase Nelson, CJ legged, while they have different body styles, they both a pretty darn fast.
Yes.
Yeah, I kind of got the feeling when they called it, the tank that we wouldn't see the speed that we've seen from from Nelson.
They don't fall here in move the chains important time right now and Cal showing Blitz here, they come Marshall Savvy enough to avoid and gets the first down across food field into the 42 yard line, great individual effort by the senior quarterback having to take the easy one here and say his favorite players.
Tebow, he demonstrated why you like some so much on that particular play?
Watch it right now and see if he's a right-handed version of Tim Tebow in this way.
Well that move is very Tebow, ask breaks a tackle breaks out.
This guy breaks, another tackle and almost breaks a third tackle, so great.
Run by the quarterback moves, the ball into the Celts side of the field.
First down the first first down of the game and Nelson with the carry and Nelson broke down and about the 40 38 yard line and there for Cal and Morgan.
Then cooing bird.
John.
I'm a little bit surprised that that they're running the ball, quite as much, the coach that he wanted to 50/50 balance.
But right now, I think they just feel a little bit more comfortable with giving the ball to their, to Junior running backs and then a big play.
If they need it going to their quarterback, s a Quick throw the leg, it almost by hand, I'm going to call it an incomplete forward, pass that teetered on that line between forward pass and lateral.
And we had a pretty good angle on it.
I think the referee made the right call in that third down and long coming up.
Now from the just inside the 40-yard line.
And the other thing that was important about that run for the quarterback.
That Marshall was that he fumbled the ball the last time he ran with it.
Now, he makes a big play.
Kind of balances it out from what we know the young man.
He's not going to remember that fumble.
He's just going to forget about it and play football and that's what Coach Carter wants.
Now they're stuck with the third and long.
Maybe changing the play, at the line of scrimmage on this one.
Still talking to his running back, plank on the side and working towards wagon.
Got it chasing down.
CJ legged in the backfield, very dangerous play here in and Mike.
Valero almost made the interception there and then drag down the line and made the tackle.
He's another real good one.
Tight end on offense and defensive end 62 210 and they think he's going to get some offers maybe at that division, two level.
But he is a real strong player and he showed at there.
Now the quarterback is in is normally the one who does the kicking Foreman.
He's in regular punt formation right now.
Sometimes they'll play in that Extended shotgun and he rolls to the right.
Does it has that nice won't be kick Langley takes it at T for teen?
That's where I blow it dead.
I think they're blowing it Deb.
They could almost I think they're going to say called for a fair catch there.
And then ran with the ball afterwards, which would normally be a penalty if they didn't call that and I'm not quite sure why they blew the ball dead.
It will see a replay here and see if we can figure it out.
Let's see if we put the hand up.
Why don't, you know, wasn't Langley that put it up with the other guy next to Ali and Burris that put it up there?
Why is that a penalty?
Well, maybe because he didn't do it, but the ball is dead.
Not sure about that one.
John.
It's a cal has the ball back.
Yard punt by Travis Marshall, good kick, put some back deep in their field and let's see what Kelly does with this possession First and Ten at the 14 and look like Brian Sykes jumped early.
Brian Sykes.
Trying to make something happen.
We'll be talking about him, all we all afternoon, he's a real good one and the linebacker Court.
The strength of this Chattahoochee defense Denver all encroachment defense.
Okay.
Yeah, I would say with the penalty so far for Chattahoochee that Terry Crowley might be pulling his hair out of his head, but that's kind of a misnomer since he's follicly challenged like myself but still he's got to be frustrated that too early penalties of in the first quarter.
But it's the first game of the year Chattahoochee plays with five line back.
Packers and they called their to wide outside.
Linebackers ponies and Bryan Sykes with one of them to he was trying to Blitz on that plays actually on the line again.
Now they jump again.
So that's a free person.
Who turkel defense those John Sanders that time that jumps Jam, what love a chance to talk about this?
As the game goes on to two coaches took totally different approaches to how you prepare for a 9:00 game.
The Kel came down here last night, they started Hotel.
He said they had a tape out will call will explain that a little bit later but they were little in their homes by 9:30 with tape on the door so they couldn't back out.
First router, you took a different approach.
They showed up at the school.
This morning, got dressed at the school and left directly from the school.
Like he says, they would do for any other Road game.
Will see your earlier one of those strategies.
By the two coaches makes a difference.
I would say with kelp Lane the first team for the last two years.
They probably knew what they were doing by doing that.
And we'll start to see the running back by committee Cal, has not been in the game for the first drive, but now he gets the ball on the first play of the second Drive Gates about seven yards off the left side.
Pretty much destroyed ahead and good running by Kaleo Bell.
Five foot eight hundred ninety pound senior.
One of the five six or seven running backs.
We're going to see today for coming.
Deep stable of running backs and Kel I have certain role.
But when you have those kind of wine back over the luxury that is, I think you'll see the kirkuk would like to see two or three of them establish themselves rather than six or seven.
However, we're going to throw some pressure and he's brought down by the Chattahoochee defense.
O.j.
Thompson led the effort as well as number 55 majeed, Bill ill.
This is just a little thing, but actually coach Cook will be very happy with that.
Play that the Quarterback again didn't Panic he emphasizes over and over again.
He doesn't want his quarterback to make mistakes and you can see right here.
He doesn't he doesn't foolishly do anything.
He just gets back down on the ground when he needed to their brings up third and manageable from the 30-yard line.
That's exactly what a cal quarterback is supposed to do right now firm for suck down.
Is that, that is purely a call, the referee had to make, but it, but the ball was overthrown.
The defensive guy just had to clear away from all see, on the replay here.
I'm sure pretty shortly, which Crowder's, not happy with the call.
But when you, it's like a guard, making a penalty, in the middle of the basketball field, he had no choice but to make this call and you'll see it right here, the ball clearly was going to be at best a very tough, catch fish.
Probably pretty much overthrown, but you're going to sit right here that the ball or Received the defensive man received before the ball, there's the high throw way over his head and Justin Jackson just not able to get out of the way.
Here's the throw again, you can just see he didn't even touch it.
Of course, Boris.
Stop that that last minute allowing Jackson to come in and bought them.
Anyway, I'll bring up a first down and 10 from the 45 in Chattahoochee.
Showing Blitz are not afraid to do that when the kid was to number 26, I'll tell Hank, I'm sorry, I'm sorry tearing it up, my fault, it's game.
Therefore Cal what are the interesting things about going back to that last play is that receivers all the defense.
Other receives are also defensive back so he knew exactly what he was setting up there.
When you said he stopped on the play, the way they did.
And here's 14-yard, gain by Taylor and Hinkle henckels has been starting for this team.
Since he's a freshman, he's lost four games since he started playing football in Middle School.
His is for Watson's.
All came at kill, never lost a game in middle school.
He is the leader of the defense as a junior with two guys that are going to SEC schools and there you just some run for 15 yards, there's one until about the middle of the map Maxi and Moxie across the 35 to about 33 yard line and we're seeing on first down Cal, getting good yardage.
Well, again, it's Maxie that the coach is so high on as a player, just going back to His size.
He is only five foot six, and they list him at 165 pounds.
But that may be a little generous and he's only a junior but among a team of great athletes, he is one of the better athletes on the field for them.
It's certainly one of the toughest.
He's the guy who made the fumble happen and recovery and the first of the big turnover, this game so far.
Second floor.
And when he had the football but I'm going to guarantee it was the going to be the absolute minimum out of time.
He made a great move on the Ball here watching number for close very quickly, and will look like wasn't wide open play.
Makes the catch and I'd say with the ground cause that there was a good call by the referee, there the ground, definitely cause that one.
And so they actually Zone, man, with the one who blocked him, that he was clearly on his back when that ball came out since the brilliant athletic play by that running back.
Are the, I think again, that was Henkel who looked like he was open just a great play by the defensive tactic, to save the drive and get it back to chatter.
Now, it's first down leather, couple yards would not sit drop down by big number 56.
That there's no question that that Chattahoochee needs a couple of first downs a to keep their defense off the field and just to establish their Rhythm.
They are a rhythm team.
If you want to snap the ball 65 to 70 times, you got to get some momentum going, you've got to get some action going.
When you only get two yards on first down, it's just hard to get that up-tempo offense that he could coach brother wants to play going.
Three for three, Josh hearing on the keepers Marshall, Marshall the middle, and it will gain good, yardage that will bring up third and manageable.
They haven't had many of those in this game so far.
They've been in second and long third and long.
They got their one first down on, a great individual effort by the quarterback.
Again, they only have one quarter.
Only one first, down in the hole.
First quarter that was dominated by K leaning on the scoreboard, but even more impressively, the way they played on the field and that brings us to the end.
Oh the first quarter.
It's seven nothing.
Kel here at the Georgia Dome game.
1 of 5 here at the Corky Kell, classic until up early.
And back at the Georgia Dome we start the second quarter, quell up, 7 nothing on the Chattahoochee, cougars in one of our five games, take a look at the Cal resume, their a quarter finals, two years ago, great 12 and 1 record region.
Champions have made the playoffs, four straight years.
You've only had two losing seasons in eight years.
And Jonathan Dwyer is making a name for himself with Pittsburgh Steelers and he's great at Georgia Tech.
Brian Randolph.
From the famous alarms, from, from Cal for Chattahoochee, there were dream season two years ago, fifteen dollar Got7 region championships to their credit 12.
Playoff appearances, since opening, its a school in 91, 5, NFL players have come from The Cougar program and five college quarterbacks in the last decade.
I remember one that played for the Clemson, Tigers by the name of Charlie Whitehurst, well and he's got a another younger brother that went not to play quarterback there but there wasn't Standing a high school football player here on their state championship.
Team will talk a little bit about the similarities on how these coaches have brought these two programs back.
As the game goes on there in short, let's Leggins wrestled down in the wild-card Wildcat.
Are they will call to wild cougar position.
I don't think he got the first down there, marking it, a yard short.
So that's going to bring up from this end of the field and we really kicking situation.
So exactly what will happen.
Here's the replay.
And you can see they just jammed up the right side.
We were talking before the game, John about, you know, how the wild-card you at the Wildcat, the wild cougar, how it works, so often as it does because you know what?
The guy is going to do and that time Cal just they kind of say it's our off athletes versus your athletes and tells athletes were better on that Wildcat.
So now on the second play of the second quarter, they're gonna have to give the ball back to kelp probably near Midfield Langley back.
Deep Travis Marshall.
That's the quarterback.
He does.
Wow.
And fact, I'll buy Langley at the 47 yard on a 34-yard punt.
Oh, that was adventurous.
What an unbelievable athletic play and heads up player.
Look how he kept his cool as he's running almost to his end zone to pick this.
All up, he's got a pirouette around now.
He does do rugby, kicking.
And that's going to what saves him here.
He had a turn, his back on the field, and he gets away a kick, it gets the ball across Midfield.
That's he might not have done that.
Well, kicking from the normal with a good snap.
Getting the ball to the field.
Positioning ended up with what a play by the quarterback punter for Chattahoochee.
Remember that one Jonathan might end up being a game saver for Chattahoochee tells got great field position to shorten that filled up the middle.
ER, nothing there at all.
Look at the gang.
Tackling the whole bunch of white shirts in there.
John, do you realize it?
Of course you do, if he just falls on the ball on the 3-yard line, which probably most punters would have done, they would have had a chance to go up to touch on Swatch, this gang, tackling This Time by Chattahoochee that behind the line of scrimmage and then PSI whole bunch of teammates joined in.
There was likes made the first hit a little bell.
He had nowhere to go there there Sykes making the tackle right there and whole bunch of Image jumping in there brings up second and long.
We're Goin quick, throw the Langley and Langley wrestled down at the floor and town before they call the whistle there and enters away.
Yeah, I've got a few pet peeves and that's going to be one of them there.
That was clearly a late hit but what's a kid supposed to do when he's tackled he's been knocked backwards.
Five yards and there's no whistle now we're not going to hear the whistle on this replay but watch how far Langley gets That back before they finally blow the whistle and a young man came in clearly afterwards and hit him for a, you know, what has to be called?
An obvious penalty.
But he was, he was kind of a nano wires on.
You're going to see it right here.
Let's see how far Langley gets knocked back after.
He catches the ball, there's one or two or three yards, there's a whole bunch of guys on him.
Let's and she belittled and here comes to hit way way too late and here you'll see it way after the play is dead and it was very close to come up the helm.
It there too as well.
But again, see him right here, struggling to go forward.
Now is clearly going backwards.
No, whistle.
He's still standing up and then the guy hits them.
You don't talk to fight, keep fighting until the whistle blows.
And that's what happened where the coal yard line.
Big, big first down.
Now, they're back in deep in the Chattahoochee and it spread out nicely and that going to get very far at all as polio and they're claiming fumble, but that's not the case.
But Little Rock Bottom down for Chattahoochee.
there's, I'm surprised how much Langley's playing in this game again.
We were told as we walked into the Dome that he was being reviewed by a doctor as to whether he could play.
I assumed if he did play John, that he would be playing primarily just defense because that's what.
He's so good at morning on the other hand, John he showed some great offensive ability and the only touchdown of the game that was just a clear great run after catching flies.
So when I say, it's better on defense.
There's a whole bunch to go with with that.
He's already Miley's already 337 receptions Raven.
What do you got?
Hey, Mark, thanks.
Yeah, it was very questionable for Langley like they set up in the booth.
He was questionable from about five minutes of the start of the game but he's really impressive here on offensive and the defensive side of the ball.
So it's going to be exciting to see what this kid has to do out here, even being sick for motto.
Thanks, Raven is Jay Moxie juggled that ball and then got Nailed by Miles Hill for the incompletion where, there's that much more of a helpless feeling than when you're when the ball is thrown, hi to you.
And you're juggling it.
And, you know, you're going to get hit, you'll see it right here.
He just couldn't quite bring it in and he's just juggling it and setting himself up very vulnerable and he's plays defensive back, he knows what a free hit, he'd be getting if he was a defensive guy there so he had to know he was going to get hit pretty good there and he just jumps right back up again and gets back in the Huddle third and long.
Cal has really dominated at this District.
So, far, John 5, first downs, 21.
And that shows that they're only down seven and seven years, the phas, and the Blitz.
And this out the screen, it's called by Moxie and Moxie brought down behind the line of scrimmage.
Patrick Hoffman its fourth and long here.
So I'm expecting them to kick but the last time they were decided part of the deal, they went for it on fourth down, but I think you'll see him try to punt deep into in the character here and we'll get to see See.
Watch all they let the screen come up.
Safety Blitz, linebacker, Blitz, whole bunch of people.
Coming at him was very well set up, but but Chattahoochee played equally well on defense.
Way was very close to Breaking that tackle.
And on fourth down, they are going to kick.
Fourth and eight.
And Lisa fact, deep all the fact again field position dictated them going for it.
Now cook has gone for a twice on fourth down and he's converted both times.
That was a lot.
More daring than the first time in there.
Put in the hands of their their playmaker and he makes a nice game will see it here on replay.
Well, the gutsy Court snap right there so he cuts it there he at that point.
He's got the first down and He had to be knocked down late to get to keep them from scoring Another Touch.
So we're going to see it from the angle, there's the short snap rather than the back to the Putter and they actually defense it pretty well.
But he just showed his natural ability again on that play to make the first down and put them inside the scoring Zone, new set of thanks for cash and that's Moxie and Moxie across the ten to the nine, very close to another first down.
A 44 O, j-- Thompson.
I think it'll be second down and short and let's watch again.
The smallest man in the field.
Look at the, hit the ball.
All carrier gives to the defensive man.
Tackling at the end of this play.
Boom!
He's going forward.
The defense of man's going backwards at the end of that play, Smiles, Hill that lowered the boom.
They're right there.
And that that's one heck of a run by a five foot six.
Running back for carries 22 yards from oxy and gets the call again.
Nope.
No I was check that, that was jewelry more and more it to the 5 yard line and again, Laura is probably they're number one, running back.
He we haven't called us name the whole bunch, he was the one who started, he got two yards and I'll sets up first and goal at the 7 yard line.
Chad hoochies really got to dig in here at Cal gets up two touchdowns the way.
Derek Cooke can control a game and has demonstrated at so far in this one, that would be real trouble.
I remember, they had a great Play to save a touchdown here at the start this drive when the pump was somehow knocked out of the end zone.
50 yards.
So, let's see what happens here in second and goal or first and goal.
The keep it by mcguigan and he'll get to the line of scrimmage and that's about it.
Good tackle, there by Chattahoochee is number 5600 Johnson.
Very nice plan.
First down, pick up a couple of yards.
Get the ball right at the 5-yard line.
Second down, and goal from there.
And again, the quarterback just expected to maybe setting something else up here, just to keep the defense honest.
That was Josh Weisberg, I'm sorry on the tackle for Chattahoochee brings up second down and five second and goal from the fact on the Fly, Windham languages, and the get a great defensive play by Chattahoochee.
Cheese Duane Bartholomew.
It was really a great play net for the obvious catch and Tackle there, but they had Langley in motion and I thought for sure he was going to get the ball.
Watch him come through the play right there.
They only think it to him really, but a great tackle there and a great defensive setup in general, because the way Langley's done everything, but drive the bus so far in this game I thought for sure he was going to get the policy.
Came in motion.
There's a great defensive play by Chattahoochee, they're playing lockdown.
D, third and goal from the 4 million looking toward the end zone on.
The brakes are so strict that was Bartholomew.
Again, the Nano made the big tackle on the last one, almost made the key interception.
And that will be probably a three-point draft there because they're going to be almost an extra point for the field goal here.
Although the way They played so far in fourth down.
We'll have to wait until you.
Look at the time he gets, look at the patient's.
He shows again as a junior, he's looking down the field, he's not panicking.
And well now we're seeing it from a different angle and at the throw is made and the throw was very fortunate.
It wasn't dropped.
This is an extra point for three points.
Why is blue and pink?
A couple yards on the Chattahoochee.
Faithful that could have been a huge momentum swing as the second big play the game.
Well, one thing we're going to see the Black by here and first Take is low and it's and it's deflected by Heron and Mac down, and then the Chattahoochee was alert, you're going to see.
Let's see if they play the play out, but if we had seen the rest of the replay, they actually got to run with the black kick and they got it back a little bit more than they might have.
Otherwise again, there's a couple things that's early in the season but they don't have the kicker at Kel.
We didn't even know who their kicker was going to be.
They said they're still trying three different.
Guys, that was an extra point.
The kick was a little ol allowing hearing to make a great athletic play.
But shows you how important kicking is the name of the game, is footbal in a net play.
Now, we'll see if he kicks the rest of the day after getting a low kick, black told her just kind of collapsed right there and quell just kept coming and Marshall, just blithely kind of eat the ball, they're finally back at the 3, yard line.
Eat up.
Second down and long.
And how many times have we said this here?
Watch the line just collapse, or maybe give credit to the defense and line of K for coming in Mass here.
A little blitzing as well, but there's a whole bunch of black jerseys coming down on mr. Marshall there in bringing him down for a seven-yard loss, second down and long.
Tough going so far from the Chattahoochee often thought what a great play by the defensive end coming through there.
And the quarterback had no chance makes the score nine to nothing now to and the defensive plays.
I look on Terry Crowley space.
Set it off.
Yes, it did.
Here we go with the replay.
He's almost untouched on this one.
Larry comes right through the black and went the other way, and he had no chance of I won't take out the almost and say he was untouched as they went in the end zone.
Again.
No chance for the quarterback to get away right now.
It was supposed to pick up that as you can see it right there and he just went the wrong way with that and it was easy, pickings for a great player like that.
Cal up, nine and nothing, another big defensive play by the Longhorns here at the Cal 569.
Nothing count back to the Georgia Dome.
You take a look at Derek Cooke miss this season.
He's liking things so far here at the Kell classic.
We talked to him earlier says, this team is really excited to be here.
Well, it's extremely special, especially for the family of the kills Carol, Carol and I are great friends.
We actually had lunch.
Couple days ago and we talked about this event and some other things, but it's just a great thing to be able to do for her and her family that they can not only come down here to enjoy the namesake, but also to have the High School playing it as well.
I tell you, we've got two coaches here that have had an impressive two-year records and whatever they were cooked, records been pretty impressive 21 and for over the last two years he's taken his team to four straight playoffs.
And he's done very, very well doll together.
35 and 12.
And as he pointed out at the lunch, the other day 11:49 losses, he's had that for years, all those teams went to the playoffs and the one team that didn't was a Walton team that went six and formed that you ge makes the playoffs.
So he has never lost a game, he shouldn't lose.
I think that really says something about a coach heat the games, he's lost the other team might have been just a little bit better than him and he gets full credit to the turnaround to what they do in the weight room.
What they do in the summertime, you build a team in.
The summertime is what he said.
Here's the kickoff and Going to get the ball again and that's Paris the Midfield.
And that's about it, and another one, it's the defense on Chattahoochee, it's either going to be a horse collar or a face mask.
Grab, but they came down on top of them.
Let's wait and see, they get the exact call here.
Nope, well, we got to see which way he's pointing.
It's against Kel.
So they were going to have the ball at Midfield and a 15-yard penalty would have made a difference but it's going to go back the other way and then Chattahoochee has to have a stop here.
Just walk in the back.
Black first day out, that's another great season of Georgia traveler and it's a new time Sundays at 7 p.m. on GPB watch David Zale ski and the crew is the undercover more of the Hidden Georgia that thing across the state and around the corner Georgia traveler.
Now at a new time on Sundays at 7, p.m. followed by Georgia Outdoors.
Only learn GT be going on for the past there, the Langley Incomplete on the coverage for Chattahoochee, was Josh Hearn Cal has eight first down, state made, big plays, and first down to set up things.
They didn't on this one, obviously, Chattahoochee, one first down, and I don't think they've had an a big gain on first down that didn't get called back the whole game.
First run, this deciding this game right now, John you, and I kind of had a suspicion that whoever can muster.
Some big plays will be successful in this game right now.
It's all been Kel.
They've gotten a few big plays offensive ly and they've been able to capitalize on it, a little misdirection there, a couple yards games that biggest thing Brown, The Big, I think, beyond the obvious of that is, it doesn't allow Chattahoochee to get in any kind of Rhythm and they write they want to snap the ball.
They want to get going.
They were here first and long second and long it just our second and third long.
It just doesn't work right now.
Kells.
Got a chance to really put this In serious Jeopardy for Chattahoochee if they can score points here and if they can take the last four and a half minutes off, the first half clock.
37.
Big play for the Chattahoochee defense here.
You thought momentum eyes shifted after the blocked field goal is and they starve this to Brown again and Brown gets to about 245.
And again, the quartered are they running back by committee?
That's about the six name, we've called from their defense from their offensive backfield and there's just nothing there this time and actually made it.
He made a man miss and got a couple of yards out of the play.
That'll be fourth down and this time I think coach Cooks going to kick the ball in fourth down Mi Hill.
There was finish him off after a mission.
About majeed bhalil.
I really are said, this has been a game of what Chattahoochee, Arc, what Kelton it will go on first down.
Need to correct myself.
That's what they've been able to do on fourth down.
There's a Chattahoochee defensive corner.
He's got to be happy with check Wiley there with the Stop Bar.
He's got to be happy with the staff at this will be the first kick of the game for quell.
Extending Murphy, and fair catch called by Lisa at the 22.
And that's where Chattahoochee will take over with about 323 to go in the second quarter.
Here's Chattahoochee schedule for this season sponsored by Sonic.
And after this though, head back to Johns Creek to take on Forest Park, a couple of road games against uggla's County and North Forsyth before hosting Johns Creek.
Then back on the road for a couple against South Forsyth and Alpharetta.
Then home for a couple against West Forsyth than Lambert before taking on the Centennial Nights.
At The Fortress November 8th, they were very happy to be moving to Fulton County.
Back to Gwinnett.
They used to be in the largest classification.
They kind of got their legs, planted for a now, they're back in 68.
But they're playing in Fulton County instead of when that County and I believe that will be a big difference.
Look at this John, sorry to keep the play here for a second.
First down first play, they've made for a big gain on first down now.
Let's see if they can get their offense, moving a little quicker.
So we'll bail on the stop when the past and CJ Leggett.
That's good enough for a first down Chattahoochee.
Could use some kind of score here, going into halftime, totally changes the game around, if they can get some points now, takes what?
Because a lackluster first half and all of a sudden they've got something to do with it here.
Let's see what happens when quickly knocked away.
By K Colony 6, Tyler.
And Taylor Hinkle to take Colony complete forward.
They did.
But both teams were very smart to keep playing after the whistle on that one because that could have been ruled the other way here.
I think you'll see clearly that if the referee made the right call that it was a forward pass.
But great awareness of they both teams here that keep playing and go after that foot down, you'll see him right there.
Just in case.
Here's another look at it clearly it's a forward pass but you can't be too careful now it's second and ten.
And Chattahoochee really wants to get that up-tempo started.
They just are taking too long to get their plays off.
I'm sure that's what coach Crowder's me.
Very upset with at halftime here.
And now, I'll tell you what I think.
I said earlier you know that if they stop them on defense and got the ball back they could really do something with a momentum and totally change.
What has been a disastrous first half for Chattahoochee around but they need.
Now they need a first down just to make sure they keep the ball for the rest, our staff all pants.
Just very, very hard to look at, look at that.
Look on his face, that says it all he's not used to seeing his team.
So out of sync, there's coach Terry Crowder, 25.
And to the last two years, it's got a state championship.
He is usually a happy-go-lucky guy that face shows.
He's not happy at all right now and now we're going to go.
He's not Through to easily on this quarterback who is an elusive guy, but he doesn't have a chance when they come in that quickly, you're going to see it right now again, if not that almost untouched again and no chance for the quarterback to break away and now we got third and more yards and I can count bird and 24.
Well, they're just doing a great job of getting off the ball and that led Marshall another Blitz and they set up the screen and the pass is complete and up to your original purchase and Nelson.
Big out of theable, get up to the chain turn, three, yard line and that's about it and bring up fourth and long fourth and about ten or eleven yards, but it was interesting because they got the play called a little quicker.
They kind of get kills defense off guard for maybe the first time all night.
Here we see the slasher try on, that's the tank, Nelson stand Applause but he's a tank, but he also can run in the open field as you pointed out.
Now they're gonna have to kick the ball back with just under two minutes to go in the first half.
You know, we, you know, Bobby brought up the fact of how both teams have different routines coming here, kelston overnight and the hotel Chattahoochee stapling in their own beds coming down on their own.
Today we seen the kind of some of the effects of that right now.
You know, it's an easy shot.
But yeah, I completely Lately, agree.
With the I said, do you have the game started?
We could probably tell in the first quarter and I think it's, it's really been that way.
Since the, since the opening play only two first downs, 444 Chattahoochee.
I think one of the biggest things is they're not really demonstrating their personality.
Their personality is to play, aggressive to move the ball.
Quickly to get that 65 or 70 steps.
Again, I don't have any stamps.
They've had Tony only got two first downs.
I guarantee you don't have any stamps so there's nothing for for Coach crowded.
Like an offense.
Right now, his defense has kept them in the game.
Let's take a look at the Cal schedule sponsored by himself.
Only the head home to this Stockyard, to take on Woodstock and September 7th.
Followed by three Road games.
Lassiter Creek View, and Riverwood before returning home against the Osborne, then Sprayberry on the road and they close with Pope their archrival.
Yes.
The battle of the Longhorns and Greyhounds and persons the region play in game on November 9th, interesting schedule for Cal, there are five a school.
The first three games are all against 6A and you could You could see right now that that he's front-loaded the schedule and they're all gearing in for that last game of the year don't mean to belittle any of the teams in between but this that there are all symptoms of but now they're going on.
It is that going to get falls on his own feet won't get there at all.
Wow.
Nellie was there to bring him down.
Anyway well that's going to get kelp great field position the close the first half, you know, I just said before they went now, all you wanted to see him have a drive but Now all you really wanted to do is get to the locker room.
I don't quite understand.
This one, the quarterback is a great athlete but he's pictured heading to gain 11 yards and he's going to actually lose yards on the play.
And tripped up for the 31 yard line there John.
Yeah.
It looks like the carpet got in that time.
But, you know, sometimes you gotta gamble gamble, big.
And when you do sometimes you come up seven, sometimes you come up, Snake Eyes.
Now it's a minute 37 seconds to play in the first half but see what happened.
It's number 34, diet dalen.
Reed & Reed will get it too, short of the 25 yard long.
Billing rate are down on the yet.
Another name we're calling from this backfield.
Again, we thought we'd see six or seven, I'm sure we've seen that many Jen.
Yeah, they're going beyond my depth chart with these running backs and that doesn't count Langley running with the ball.
A couple of times are great spatter and statistician, Ken Burns to Kevin tells us that they've had eight different people run with the ball so far.
And that's, that's a lot and a half of a football game, and go again.
Oh, yes.
Take a bow, mr. Lemle, 27 yards.
His second touchdown of the game that was just a straight flight pattern.
Nothing fancy about.
I guess they might call the Post pattern now, but he didn't have to show him or is he just showed his athletic ability there as he ran past the Chattahoochee received Defender, and let's just say he Brendan Langley Whatever they gave him in the locker room.
I think the model is not an issue right now.
Yeah, I know, he will be probably spending.
Most of the halftime just resting as much as possible.
Our Kelly has too many men on the field, but they get him off in plenty of time.
That's good.
And it's 16 done.
Nothing Kel will see the replay here, but just a great athlete showing, great athletic ability and the quarterback getting the ball.
Where only one man can catch it.
You'll see this right now.
Plenty of time, And this replay sponsored by.
Colleges that technical colleges of Georgia Technical College system of Georgia.
Ma look at that beautiful, catch and nice throw there too.
But again they was just a receiver running a great pattern.
Look at the time, look at the throw right on the money and the 16 to nothing lead.
That Chattahoochee does have the kind of offense that can come back gently.
But let's not, let's not bury them before this before.
They have see over here, know, they can score points and bunches but I think when you look at the line play, I just think that Kelly has done a great job of controlling the defensive, the line play both on both sides of the ball.
There's the scoring Drive.
They're brought to you by the technical College's of Georgia and it to place 32 yards and of course it was set up by the fake punt on fourth down being covered and giving quell the ball at 32 yard line and great position there to it to make the Stop and Langley.
Now has four catches for 64 yards and two touchdowns and we mentioned that the the old ball coach would be pretty happy.
He's got, even be more happy now seeing in one of his best recruits that he signed up for next year.
Type of young, man that can probably play on Saturday as a freshman.
Yeah.
And he made his decision about three weeks ago and you want to do it just to just to get it over with.
And you made the decision, he loved what he saw at South Carolina, and loved the campus and one to enjoy his senior year, Terry Crowley.
Well, I wonder if the paint's going to peel in the locker room at halftime.
You know, again they signed up for two years in this game, they may be planning the first game again, next year.
I guarantee they're not going to be sleeping in your own beds.
Next year, whether they come back and win this game or not, he's gonna, he'll do something different.
We had the same thing in the 5A Championship.
Savannah.
Christian has been in the finals, three years, in a row.
I think they did three different things, they stayed in Savannah.
They stayed halfway and they came here last year they actually drove up on the bus on game day and made it work.
Is that script?
It goes through the end zone and out of setting up.
First in the 20.
Well, I remember back in 02 in the state semifinals and Hawkinsville was playing here at the Georgia Dome and they came up day of game from Hawkinsville and I got it was a Friday game and got caught in traffic and it just totally interrupted their pregame routine.
They got here around 7:30 and you're talking about taping ankles and, you know, just getting your pregame routine down and end up getting blown out in that game because everything was messed up, and then they came back the next year.
They do that the next year with the state championship, but virtually the same team, so they probably don't have traffic like you'd find on Friday morning in Atlanta in Hawkinsville.
I'll just know McNally.
Yes, I mean ever been in Hawkinsville but I'm just guessing that that's okay.
I've been there several times its know.
You don't have traffic issues there as on a keeper by Marshall and he'll pick up good yardage there and he's brought down by Michael Valero.
I tell you a bolero.
Can he does.
He have some closing speed?
There he is.
Definitely one of the strengths of this team playing from the defensive end position.
We talk so much about the defensive backs, but clearly the coach is very high and Valero and in the name, we haven't mentioned, is the other defense.
It and Morgan who sat out two years because he played baseball, will talk maybe a little bit about that later on as well.
And there's like it and he's brought down by William Cole, you know, Longhorns, they're probably not going to score on this drive will I think they call the timeout with only Seconds to go but if they can just establish something so positive just bring something positive out of it.
Certainly don't want the last thought in your mind to be that.
Fourth down play that didn't work.
That then set up a touchdown.
So you may say, well, what's the big deal here?
They got one first down.
They got good yardage on second on the next first.
Now, which if I haven't beaten to the ground yet, there's been one of the biggest Nemesis that they've had this whole first half and so if they can just establish a little bit, yeah, they'd like to see somebody fall down and run.
95 yards and get away with something here.
But, but they're really trying to do is just establish something again, they deferred.
So they are going to get the ball to start the second half and that will be a very important drive again.
Overstating the obvious with that, but they will need to establish something right off the gun in the second half.
Not necessarily to score, but just to show what they can do.
And if they can finish here with another first down and, you know, and go to the locker room said, yeah, we can do this.
Let's see what happens on the last 26 seconds.
Terry Crowley coach the Championship in 2010, the Chattahoochee 11 is a player back in.
1980 played at North Side.
High School in Fort Smith, Arkansas one state championship there.
That's your home state, right?
Yes, it is.
Thanks for having me.
Bob, there's legatees met the leg lie.
All the old ball.
Coach were like that kind of play on defense, great defensive play.
And again, just going to act while we're talking about that is one of the basic plays of the Chattahoochee offense.
They would have loved to have seen that one worked for 10 yards here and it said, now, you think they now just decided to use their last time out here is the clock has stopped was six.
And and we'll see the last play here on replay.
Look at the defense here, led by Langley, but there's a whole bunch of dark shirts coming around there to happen.
There Langley, makes the first hit Here Comes help.
Oh, that's just speed and athleticism right there and Chattahoochee right now can't match that, you know, here's a guy who's got two touchdowns 64 passes, and my guess is in South Carolina.
He's going to probably play defense because look how good he can play on that side of the ball, but it's still too early.
Early to tell and who knows what, you know what they've got with what's coming there, but he is one financially.
Well, there's Brandon Langley graduates this year.
He's already committed to South Carolina and if the Gamecock fans are tuning in, I think you've got a, probably a big smile on your face because he's heading your way to the Columbia.
And, you know, I think the Gamecocks are looking at him to be more of a defensive back but weak sauce.
Offensive skills.
And if Spurrier wants to use them on that side of the body, could be successful there to one of the AJC, illegal Levin and he is a 6-foot 185 pounds so there's probably little more meat.
They can put on that frame as well.
He is going to be an outstanding player for the SEC next year.
Yeah, he will get the weight, the strength coach will get his hands on him and muscle home up as Marshall.
Gets it up to the 49-yard line and that'll be the last play of the first half, may appear meaningless.
Us but putting together two or three first downs.
Damn, the first half, and getting the ball to start the second half.
It should be interesting.
Well, it's been a dominant performance by the Cal Longhorn 16 to nothing over the Chattahoochee, cougars here at the Georgia Dome.
Our first game of five here at the Corky Kell classic, Brendan Langley with two touchdown catches.
That's been the scoring so far for the Longhorns one, safety as well.
Chattahoochee will go in the locker room and regroup and see about A Better Effort coming in the second half, trying to find a head coach down there for a raven to talk to.
He's hugging this boy and I think week they think they got him down there right now.
All right, let's go down the Raven with Derek Cooke.
Hey coach, great, momentum offensively and defensively.
What do you tell your guys in the locker room?
To make sure they carry that momentum into the third and fourth quarter to stay on top.
We've done a lot of good things.
We've had a lot of missed opportunities.
Well, we've drove the ball down on offense and then turn it over on downs and made some mistakes and that particular phase of the game, but we just gotta line up and go after him be sound from here on out and I'll make mistakes and allow them to get back in the game.
What about Brandon Langley, obviously?
He we know his condition going into this game.
Is he going to see a lot of the third and fourth quarter that depends on the situation?
I'd love to get some younger guys and if the if the game dictates we can do that, he's a player, he can go all night.
It's no problem for him to do that.
I think Scott yes, ma'am back to you.
Thank you Raven very much.

How is it is the principle that see your team on the field.
For the first time this year, little nerve-racking, we had a pretty good showing I thought against Tucker a couple weeks ago, so starting out with a tough opponent.
I think he'll prepare just had a couple of tough breaks, but I'm looking forward to a great second half.
Tell us what's going on a Chattahoochee high school, because you've got some good grades again this year.
Yeah.
Fortunately Chattahoochee were kind of strong all around our Orchestra is been invited to the Midwest Festival on Chicago at the asan Avenue and they were constructed.
Have our band played in the st. Patrick's Day Parade last year in New York, we just had our highest end, of course, test scores.
And we just had a record, high ACT scores.
So we're on a great path and it's been a good ride so far, all right?

It's he holds nearly every Falcons passing record and was inducted into the Georgia Sports Hall of Fame in 2007, which quarterback led.
The Falcons of the first playoffs in their history was a David Archer but Baloo's Scott hunter or Steve.

Of course, Michael Valera had that big safety for Cal in the first We're getting ready for the second half of the Chattahoochee Kel game.
The first, we'd like to remind you of a way to show, you can show your appreciation, the high school football on GPB.
All you have to do is text a ten dollar donation to GPB, is text the number eight five, nine, four four?
Be sure to reply.
Yes and message and data rates may apply time now to send it back upstairs to the two guys were going to call the game today.
Bob Houghton and John Wilkerson fellas.
Take it away.
And thank you very much, Mark Harmon, it's been a dominant performance by Cal so far.
Let's see what happens in the second half as kill and Chattahoochee, get ready to kick off the second half here on GPB Sports, and we'll kick that off when we come back here at the Georgia Dome, that the Corky Kell classic.
Welcome back to the Georgia, Dome to get ready to start the second half, mikkel Longhorns and the strength of two touchdown catches by Brendan Langley lead the Chattahoochee, coover 16 to nothing in the first game of five here at the Metro PCS Corky Kell classic.
John Wilkerson Bob Halton Bob it's been an impressive showing but first of all let's head down to the field and Raven Hey thanks, guys.
Coach was top offensively to get things going in that first half.
What's the game plan?
Now, where we did?
We figure, we can go down the score right here.
It's a two sport games, so we just got played better cuz shooting herself, soon.
Do you think you're doing better defensively or offensively?
What's your best?
They've been doing so far.
We're not doing anything really good right now, you know.
So we just got to play better and kills a good football team.
So we'll get them going here.
All right, thanks coach Dan.
Thank you Raven.
So, Well, I tell you about the impressive effort by kill but you know, Chattahoochee is not out of this game yet and if they can get the score on the first possession.
Well, it's a brand new ball game.
What a great guy though.
I mean, you know, you talk about no spin there it is.
And here come the stats here and you and this Pat the stats will show the dominance at Cal had nearly two to one and yards and first downs which are there's the rate to three and two of those first downs and a lot of those seven.
22 yards for Chattahoochee came at the end of that last Drive, which I'm not going to call meaningless because I do think that's going to.
Let us know if they establish anything for the second half.
But everything in those statistics shows why the score 16 and nothing and that's brought to you by the Atlanta Falcons.
Yeah, first half stats brought to you by the Falcons rise up and I'll tell you, it's been really impressive.
You know, Matthew mcguigan, the aquel quarterback, Derek Cooke told us.
He's the type of kid that doesn't make mistakes.
It's 2:30.
70 yards and he hasn't, he's only thrown one pick that I'm very fond of Coach Crowder.
I've gotten a normal little bit over the last couple of years and and for him to come out there and just say we played, like we played, it's kind of refreshing to see.
And then how about Derek Cooke who is a little harder to get to know, but what a great coach he has been since he's come over there and you couldn't have told if you saw him on the sidelines at doing the interview at the end of the, for the start of the halftime festivities that his team was ahead or behind.
And his facial expressions.
Just don't change.
But now, he's got the Ultimate Poker Face.
Yeah, they, they, they play the same type of offense, they want to.
They've had the same type of record.
But boy, they just took two different paths to get there.
I also want to say as they were talking about the third member of our team, it doesn't get to speak, but helps us sound a little bit more intelligent, as Kevin Barnes our statistician.
I really appreciate.
I got a chance to work with him, several different times.
There's nobody better in the business.
Kevin, thanks for what you do to make us look a little bit smarter than we are.
You saw Matthew mcguigan there.
The quarterback Junior quarterback.
As we kick off here at the George dumb, second, half and Seto white.
It will look at you up on 5413, picks it up and wrapped up by a big number 53.
Austin, Mateo heiress Mathias.
Is that a microcosm of how this game has gone for Kelso far or however you want to say it for against Chattahoochee, a ball hits on AstroTurf.
Looks like one of my wedges don't.
I wish it just sticks in the ground.
Don't have that.
That, no, I don't have that, but totally expecting that, that, that ball would go out of bounds and give them the ball on the 35 yard line instead, start deep in their own territory at the 13.
I think we did saw some texts and the quarterback but they were not good.
14.
Yards of total offense for the quarterback.
I've got to get something started to coach that they need to score.
I'll disagree a little bit.
They got to move the ball and show they can score and look at the mess.
Meadow and their get them was number 44, is that Clover and a host of other Longhorns as well.
Number 65, Ethan, Elliot.
Well, and again, they're going to try to play a some other guys, and now, like, it's a little slow getting up here and the referees are clean people, when they're probably going to give him a momentary break and he will, he can stay in the game if they don't take a timeout here.
Looks like now, the referees are saying that like they're playing like, I have to come out for a play and he's limping.
There he goes, jogging off the sidelines right now.
So left eye.
Is those the limping and that could be a huge blow to the Chattahoochee offense.
And again, coach Crowder said those two vehicles into the locker room he is those two guys would play every play unless they get dinged up.
They now he's not going to lacquer and they're going to keep him out of the locker room and see if they can work on on the sidelines, second down and ten.
So play his replacement and lumber Marshall funnels, the fall trying to make positive yardage of a busted play.
And runs out of bounds willingly takes them as well Burris.
That's going to be a loss of two for the Cougars.
John, I said this first drive was critical first.
Play gains nothing your best.
You're one of your best.
Running backs gets hurt second play fumbled snap Runs Out of Bounds sets up 13 and 11.
Nothing.
Different than what we saw in the first half the low snap.
Here is not handled cleanly, he does get the ball and gets some of the yardage back and gets out of bounds without getting hurt but it'll be third down and very long.
And so Grand Morgan, Chase?
Out of bounds there.
Any chance to talk about him?
Yes, he's a heck of a baseball player, mr. Morgan, he's got a brother that's in the minor league system right now.
I like a, there's Morgan on the taco, wrapping up Marshall he played freshman football here, then took two years off to concentrate on baseball, his teammates, talked him back in the plane, and he's made two big plays here to start the second half here, he comes.
Then in through that black and making the tackle, I tell you what the Chattahoochee offensive line has not been able to figure.
ER out the Blitz by the defensive ends in this game, and it showed in the second half and now Kells got their return Then standing right at Midfield in all likelihood, they're going to get the ball in their own territory.
Just a minute underway.
No time off the clock by Chattahoochee Celts, going to get the ball back with likely.
Excellent field position.
Why?
We know, we'll let it drop it Midfield and I'll be down there.
That's about the best they could get out of that.
They cross Midfield.
And kicked about 44 yards to the 46 yard line where to be First and Ten from there.
So let's see what this Kel offense is done.
It's been very methodic, very, very even and of course the two big plays both to Langley and then the difference of this game, And again the first play that the half, the kick goes to the 13 yard line, you got to start deep in your own territory, instead of the ball rolling out of bounds and getting the 35.
It's a whole different thing and Chattahoochee just really right now has to show it.
See if their defense can get them back in the game here.
So I'm Blitz.
Here they come and the glowing with a short pass but Burris never saw it coming as the pressure, got to him that time.
It was one time where maybe the quarterback, it was whether it was pressure or what but we've been complimenting them as patients.
He didn't let the right the person make the cut their didn't let us receiver do the play there.
All right, let's go down the Raven with an update on CJ, like it.
Hey, thanks.
John yellow.
Legged sitting on the bench right now on.
They're taking shoe off there.
Looking at his ankle.
Looks like it's his left ankle.
He tried running it out so it doesn't look too severe.
I'll give you guys an update later to see if he'll be going back in the game or not back to you spin move by Moxie but he can't escape.
The grasp of Chattahoochee is o.j.
Thompson, gets back to the line of scrimmage and that's about all, you know, bother seeking legged, can't go.
It's going to be, whether the way the off, She's been writing for Chattahoochee that's going to be a huge blow.
Here's a nice stop by the defense right here on second down, making it second and long.
And this is where Kelly has really excelled.
Is that third and fourth down?
So, let's see what happens here.
On, Third and long.
Well, anybody could use a big stop at the beginning of the second half Chattahoochee could.
You are correct, sir.
That's Fred and like I'm looking to throw, he's being chased and that's 12, there's the flag.
There's the twelve came in, but the flag is down.
It's like they're gonna be calling for grounding.
Yep.
And that was it.
That was the right call, it was a pretty obvious called, but you know what?
He'll still probably save some yardage in this because he had given ground all the way back to well, maybe they're going to call it from right there.
I should know my rule out that I mentioned to you.
We I had breakfast yesterday with the head of official Spencer Smith and So you can see clearly he was throwing the ball to nobody that that would be called it.
The high school, the pros, or the college level.
If we get a replay here that you where you can see where the ball was going, there wasn't a white or a dark shirt, within 15 or 20 yards of that father's.
Nobody in the picture, isn't it even see there.
So that that the rule now intentional grounding is from where the quarterback threw the ball and of course, lots of down.
So now it's a again, my Illinois math doesn't, now there is 10 yards on top of it so they're Way Beyond.
My own boy math.
Kevin help me out here.
It's third and fourth and forever, all the way back.
Inside the 15-yard line, they got about 40 yards or more to go for a first down, so I don't think they'll be faking it.
Here, John, I'll show my abilities to be a great color analyst for you.
Yeah, it looks like fourth down an acre to me, Kevin's even still counting well.
Fourth and 4141 and Kevin had to do some ciphering to get that number for us.
Thank you very much.
I I put you to the challenge, I'm telling you you're the best and you came through there's no branding now.
They're going out of their way the game about five or six yards of that.
It's a slightly less than an acre.
Now John a partial Maybe.
Okay, well now, there should get some real good field position and this is a critical driver Chattahoochee today her for the pump.
I'll now be with a coach.
They need to get the ball back and they need to score this time when they get it.
Let's see what happens.
Most snapped the handles are well no low line drive over to Lisa will take at the 48 as a head of steam and then the laptop Ethan aliens.
Wow.
Great covers.
Be sure to catch gpb's emmy-winning nature series, Georgia Outdoors, and its new time Sunday at 7:30 p.m. see the beauty of the state and all four seasons of its glory and find out about it's remarkable natural, habitats as Georgia Outdoors Sundays at 7:30, right before nature, only on GPB.
You can see legged on the sidelines they're still not coming back in.
But want to talk about Colin Lisa, the coach couldn't have been higher on his praise of him and how important he was going to be the offense.
And that's only like the second time we called his name.
Now we're going to be short of the first down calling Lisa.
Number 13, he's a transfer.
Going to get them the first and look at the spouse.
Okay, they got in the spot and wait a minute first down.
Well, the referees are a little confused on this one.
Let's see the replay.
Maybe we can help him do the spot with a recoil forward progress.
That would get the first down, but I still do.
Yeah, he's about two yards.
Sure.
But Lisa is a transfer student from the referees are still very confused.
They're giving him the first down even though you could see on the replay, they was clearly short of it.
They gave him forward and progress all the way down to the 36 yard line, First, and Ten for Chattahoochee, who will take any break that they get right now.
The ball at the 36 yard line, a first down for Chattahoochee.
Where's Nelson, Nelson?
The nice putt putt.
The 3225 attorney that just show the 10-yard line brought down by kill their Village 2020 Monger.
There goes the tank imitations, imitating, the slasher on that one, longest gain of the game by far for Chattahoochee, running or passing.
And now the tank is gonna have to pick up a little bit more of the slack with the slasher still on the sidelines, but they are right at the The just outside the 10-yard line should be First and Ten but what a great run that was by I would like that.
Nelson's will have to pick up some of the Chattahoochee gets on the board and the cougar fans love it.
That was big.
They finally establish something and went down the field and just three or four plays for the touchdown.
And now we got ourselves a football game question.
You go for to hear John, it looks like they're setting up to go for two.
You heard the coach has a sweet score a touchdown.
It would be able to score game.
So what he's going to do now is try to make it a one score game boy.
It's hard to complete these things twice to get caught up.
But I get a little upset with coats.
Another, one of my pet peeves is For to too early but I completely agree with this one.
I think you got to go for two here.
Well they've captured some momentum now and mindful capitalize on and try for a two pointer and there's Nelson.
Oh it's a keeper by Marshall.
Did he get in?
Yes, he did.
The two-point conversion, has got at 7:44 and now the Koger fans have something to cheer about Travis Marshall will be on his way to the Naval Academy.
After the season after he graduates and punches it in for two.
That was all individual effort.
Again the difference between the coaching philosophy, what they want to see their quarterback, do is make plays and I think we're going to have a couple of replays to show you here.
The first one we're going to see is see Jay Nelson, making our Chase Nelson, making a great run of 26 yards, the longest run.
They've had the longest play, they've had right here, almost a bobble on the handoff there.
And there he goes, north and south east.
Not going to go east and west and he Straight down to the 10 now, we'll see him running for the touchdown doing the same thing.
Basically, head north and south hit right before the goal line and pulling in for the touchdown.
And now I think we're going to see the two-point conversion.
Great athletic disability right here.
Patients, look at him, look for the hole.
That's Tim Tebow like on the right hand side and just gets their uncertainty balestra, please talk to you about.
Tcsg learn more and learn more.
And that's a huge momentum for Chattahoochee to take a look at Travelers, Marshall three plays.
E. 8, yd.
28 seconds of possession.
Chase Nelson's 10-yard run, put Chattahoochee on the scoreboard.
And Nelson already with 236 yards on that possession.
And you can tell right now that with with CJ Leggett out of the game.
Chase Nelson is going to get the majority of the carriage coach, a prouder there.
On the sideline, looks like a man who just got a reprieve from the electric chair.
Something's of how am I still in this game and now it's going to be a football game.
Kicks it off and let's Julian Burris.
Neal, he's short of the 20 yard line and I came back, and this Chattahoochee team fired up now.
No question about it, the old expression about momentum, there could be changing jerseys very important drive for Kel again.
They don't have to score, but they got to take some time off the clock re-establish, their offense, maybe, move the ball towards Midfield to where they can flip the field on the kick.
So, let's see what happens right here.
A very important time in the game, as you've just said it, the momentum has changed in there.
You see it like it, he said, why the locker room and looks like he's got some sort of boot or something that but it's his left ankle, that was hurt.
So I'm not quite sure what that blue thing on his right leg is, but I think the young man CJ Leggett is done, don't let those statistics fool you.
He is a very, very important part of this team first.
Down on the misdirection.
That's jamali more and more.
Sit back by the Chattahoochee defense.
And they are a fired-up bunch right now as Josh, her news head.
Big game today with an interception makes the stop, we talked about it at halftime and maybe a little bit on the air, you know, how they had a tree change this game, but I thought they'd have to change the game on offense.
It's their defense that set.
This thing up, the quick three and out after no movement on the first play of the first drive that I have, and now playing tough on on the second Drive.
Let's see if their defense can get them back in the game, six-yard gain or I'm sorry for yard game.
Same I'm back.
That's more than a more tried to punch it, through the middle and these Mets by the Chattahoochee defense.
O.j.
Thompson was in on the play Third, that's a manageable distance there.
Anything inside of five yards or four yards to get the first down.
So, their whole Playbook is open.
Let's see if they try to get Langley involved.
There's a defensive coordinator for Kel-Tec for Chattahoochee deciding what he's going to try to do their third and three.
They're saying it is it's a long three.
So, an important play for the Chattahoochee defense and tell wants to keep their offense on the field.
So, let's see what happens here.
Now, there's a timeout and that they tell mcguigan, called timeout, a little confusion there on the formations as Chattahoochee gets on the scoreboard.
Chase, Nelson.
And we've got a ballgame here at the Georgia Dome 7:44 Cal back after this.
And back at the Georgia Dome, is you take a look at Brendan Langley.
He's come up, huge in this game in the first half with a pair of touchdown catches.
The first one made it seven to nothing on the little.
This is pure athleticism right here, a little move and into the endzone for 6 and then later in the game they drop the bomb this time Langley and he scored in the first half and those were two touchdown catches and there's not For kid that there was a game-time decision.
Had mononucleosis news, cleared to play at 8:00 this morning by an hour before kickoff, and he's been silent so far in the second half.
Third down, big play here for Kelly.
Let's see what they can do.
And I'll try a little end around the Langley and regular, will get the first down to the 35 bags, all over the place.
As are they saying he was hit out of bounds and clapping at Chattahoochee?
I think they got a penalty against Lyon against zombies California by have a whole I hear ya because they're quite the how many flags are on the field, I think it was like four of them.
Let's see if we can see the hold here, Not Unusual that they would get Langley involved in this play.
He Is, there's playmaker for sure.
We're not going to see the whole there.
I was wondering if they were going to call it a late hit, because he kind of fell out of bounds there.
But let's see if we can see it here.
I'll sevens holding right there.
There it is.
He put his arms around Dwyer.
Yeah, and he didn't fall out of bounds.
He was written out of bounds there and that was close.
Well, so a first down run by Langley is negated on the hold.
So now, it's third and haven't marked off the penalty up.
It'll be third and 13, the ball.
Be back behind the 20 yard line Grand.
Morgan's guilty of that holds Trey Hillman was the guy who made the tackle on Langley and can't blame him.
Stay.
Of them all the way, but what they call the holding on.
Well, it's great.
Morgan number seven.
We saw it on the yes.
Okay.
That's what we.
So what was the third down and manageable situation now becomes third and long and you know you almost got to think that they'll get Langley involved again just to use that athleticism.
It is absolutely the right thing to do here and I got to think that Chattahoochee will be thinking the same thing.
They haven't spread to the top of your screen this time on Third and long match, severs the top of your screen, what that cook does not want a mistake here.
He just wants to run the best play possible but don't do something more than you can do you abandon their?
That was Josh, her and it was gonna second of the game.
We've called his name a lot, and he was not in the original starting lineup for them.
And he had a chance right there as they, the ball was actually closer to him than anybody else.
And it all kind of goes right through his hands here.
But you know what?
It's almost the same thing as a punt.
Look, how far down the field it was and where he would have been catching the All but good throw by the quarterback just slightly over there.
Langley sailed it as well.
And it did say all on them and we'll see another look at it here.
As the ball goes over, the quarterbacks head and almost into the are the receivers right in the number for.
Yeah, it sure did.
And again, what, coach Cook wants from this quarterback is no mistakes and he made a mistake that time and got away with it.
There's the young man on the sidelines.
He's had an outstanding game, we're not being cruel, he's had a great game so far, done everything.
The coach could one, here's the kick.
That's Murphy.
See kicking it and Lisa weaving fair catch at the 45 yard line.
34-yard punt by Murphy once again, great field position for Chattahoochee with with all the energy and like they're CJ on the sidelines but not on the field.
Let's see if maybe he's been able to loosen up that ankle a little bit get on the field.
Although Chase Nelson has come in and done really well as a solo act.
Remember to that coach Wants to see close to a 50-50 balance.
There's been nowhere near that so far for this game, it's been a real success.
They've had on offense has come running the football.
So let's see if they can establish the passing game this time and let's see if they can get the tempo.
Going Chattahoochee only had three first downs.
In the first half, they had three on that touchdown possession is Nelson, drives the pile.
They're going to mark them at the 49 yard line and that's why we call Kevin the best right there to give us that kind of information.
Thank you very much, nice gain on first.
Down another key part of this.
Let's see if Chattahoochee can get that momentum going another Zack L player injured.
So that's Michael Bolero, that's going to slow things down and what a player he is.
So, he's down there kind of giving him just space right now and the referees are signaling them to come out here and tend to them.
And all of a sudden is kind of flinch there.
I think it's a cramp.
I think you're right, we got some help from the sidelines and then I do believe it's a cramp and both sides.
Now, we'll go to their respective Sidelines.
Well Is indoors, but it's humid in here and probably a little cooler than what these guys have been practicing in and you'll have some cramps.
Let me do a Michael Valero would be a tough loss and I'm sure that he will be back in the game.
It gives us a chance.
I mentioned I got a chance to visit with a Spencer Smith, the head of officials, and we talked a little bit, there aren't a lot of rule changes this year so we talked about point of emphasis and one gets a lot of talk that's concussions but the other is dehydration and that's usually where cramps come from.
Is you just you Get dehydrated, and they're actually allowed.
Now, if it doesn't affect the momentum of the game to call timeout for a water break.
Now, you're going to keep that majority of dome, but your plan 80°, next Friday night, you're going to be the coaches are going to allowed to say, we want a timeout for a water break, that's how far serious they are GHSA executive director.
Ralph swearengen is one of the leaders in the country and cracking down on dehydration or emphasizing dehydration, great executive director of the GHSA, dr. Swearengen It's at a delete on it, so we'll see how that plays out once they go outside and that's Nelson staying and getting to shore.
The first down to, and brought down there by a host of, Kel Longhorns another good game by Nelson.
He's going to be the Workhorse.
No question about it again, you'll see on the replay here that the quarterback made a very late decision.
He was looking whether he could run with the ball or get more from Nelson, so a very good option by the quarterback.
He's going to run almost of The line of scrimmage before handing the ball off and then actually has a better fate than anything else there in the Nelson gets before yards to set up third and very short down below down territory.
I think to showing Blitz is calc Third and short Nelson, get it in, get it and lean forward, but I just said, four down territory it on the tackle.
They quickly went to fourth down there.
Nothing that measure.
I'll be shocked, if they kick this football, nobody, come in another going to call timeout and talk about it.
Here's the play good defense by Kel, I'll look at that penetration by Morgan.
Able to blow that play up and no game.
So, coach Crowder is called time out here.
We impose on that play as well.
I think the personality a coach Crowder, the way this game has been going.
The fact that this defense is playing well, I think he's going to go for it here on fourth down.
So we'll see.
But what a big big play that is if he makes it, he's going to be a hero.
If he doesn't then what and you got to kind of say, In all due respect to our friend, Terry Crowder, his call to fake a punt on Fourth and 11 classic.
You have a point that was so dressed will that affect is thinking now, you know, to say I got to make up for my mistake or will he say there's a cal defensive coordinator, Joshua Cassidy the defensive coordinator for the Kel Longhorns and when it got to be happy with the effort of this team so far?
What a great job.
He didn't take this time out to think and talk to him on his coaches.
They were just calling a play, he made.
His mind even before he called his time out that they were going to go for it on fourth down.
Well even if you put Travis Marshall and punt formation, there's always that.
That's right.
That's surprised that he's going to take.
It looks like it will get the first time.
He had to crawl across the 40 and he obviously did that down to the 39 yard line.
So they've run the Wildcat, the wild cougar.
I just started calling it earlier and you joined in with me on that the first time they stopped it the second time.
He clearly made it and gave them the new first down.
Well, you'll see it from the Wildcat running the right side.
Good blocking Falls forward.
Had the first time with a yard despair.
Well, Terry Crowley is gamble twice.
One time it didn't work out.
Second time, it worked out for him.
Let's see if they go for a big play here on first down.
Switches his running back around.
Yep, and he's going for, that's Lisa.
The transfer from Walsh or Weddington High School in Matthews North Carolina as a 24 yard reception his second catch.
But there's the first time he's had a chance to really show, it makes them and others.
Another person from Cal cramping Williams, the sidelines ball assume, it's a cramp again.
We don't know for sure but watch this catch by the young man the balls up in the air.
He's got to turn his body completely around and contort to make this catch here.
He is the falls on the other side of the He makes the catch has the first down, wonderful play by the young man.
As I say it's a transfer from Wellington High School and Matthews North Carolina.
This is his Chattahoochee debut.
He's a junior and he's one of those up-and-coming Juniors as well.
He's already got an offer from UAB and I'm sure others will be coming.
You know.
Coach Crowley says, you have to bet.
He has the best hands he's ever seen of a high school receiver.
We just saw an example of that we sure did, but I'm going to reserve judgment on there because we mentioned real quickly, a name White House who who had a Great career at Chattahoochee, has brought Whitehurst Brothers, brother went on to play football and prose but White Horse, wasn't that great receiver, if he doesn't affect beat, if he surpasses him, he'll have to go a long way, but that was a great catch and a great introduction.
To the Chattahoochee friends who are just getting to know him as his first week or two of school.
So exactly we said but we got to see it.
Hear his name called a now we've heard it called twice, first downs on both of them and that's the difference is just as Kevin pointed out.
They had three four.
Downs in the first half, they equaled that in the first drive.
Now they've got five and the whole momentum has changed and again, easy to say from up here, but two guys cramping in the first seven minutes of the second half, most of their players are going both ways.
Is there an issue right now?
With the same guys plan so much Brian Broyles is Lisa's favorite player.
The former Oklahoma Sooner like some because he goes up and gets it, well, calling Lisa just put on a play like kids.
I like the guy pattern of this game after all a 20/4, my show on the keeper, breaks, a couple of tackles and brought down by number 50.
55 Ethan Elliot after a four yard game, start game.
That was a very good defensive play because they had the whole team spread out those almost like a quarterback draw and they closed very quickly on that on what was an excellent play.
Call by the offense right there.
They are.
Playing Chattahoochee football right now 16 day here they go.
Do something.
That's something that plagued Chattahoochee in the first quarter.
They just never got any momentum.
Going in the entire first half until that last 57 seconds where they got a couple of first downs and maybe establish something.
But they've looked like a other than the first drive, where they started with bad field position.
They look like a totally different team here, bed bow.
Again, you just hate to have a penalties attention from in front of the chains to behind the chains.
Now he's second and long, I'll be some work to do Chattahoochee.
Terry Crowley And you know, they've got that good kicker.
It's a little early to be talking about that, but right now three points would be critical because it would take away the need to get that two-point conversion.
If you score against a surely, they want to score here and tie the game, but they got to be thinking field goal as well.
A lot of times we'll get toward the end zone, the lease over shot, em on the coverage.
There's Jay Moxie, good coverage.
That one really that smart pass because the only one who was gonna be able to catch that against tight coverage was Lisa.
That it was just a little bit overthrown.
I think it way too far ahead of myself there, Chan, but they got to get points.
They want to eat, but that they've been, I think happy to settle for three, especially from 3rd, walk, no mistakes here on third down, that's why he's able Academy kitted quarterback.
He's fine.
We'll tuck and run breaks a tackle on that thing and there's Brad Morgan again making a big play on defense will bring up fourth and long.
But they went to Great Lengths to tell us about this young man who's going to come in and try the field goal.
He's a soccer player.
I do remember his opening kick was not real strong but he's coached brother.
It's very confident him from 50 are from 40 yards in a 50-yard field goal.
So he was able to fight back to the original to the line of scrimmage.
Almost a horse collar there, but they weren't going to call that.
So now it's fourth down and long, a young man who kicks soccer style will come in and try it.
Exactly a 40-yarder.
Adam, Abdullah me, it's a 40-yard field goal attempt.
He's a junior and even a scoring opportunity for Chattahoochee goes for not again that it might have been black but that was not good contact at the football either and he just can't overstate John the difference between being down 8 or 5, I mean changes the game completely around and we'll see the kick and see if there was blocked or just another low kick.
No, no, just finish it.
This missed it.
That looks more like one of my golf shots, and you can see right there.
He is.
Not a happy young man and just joined the team last week as well.
Right, we may have gotten enough reps, but, and now DK hotly is now in a quarterback for Cal and he on the keeper will get about five yards, maybe a little more total change in Personnel.
They would be K. Huntley comes in.
He's a senior five-foot-eight 160 quite a bit smaller than their starting quarterback.
We did expect to see him there in this game.
And this is his first chance to actually get a chance to play, totally changes the personality of their offense, but it will cook with a quick hook on the glue gun.
That's right.
Talia, get on the keeper, stop in the backfield, able to wiggle.
This isn't for the first down first down.
He's bringing that athleticism at the quarterback position Maiden Sherman on the stop but no matter will see a nice replay here with him showing a first down as picked up total and his own there, the play broke down.
He breaks a tech behind the line of scrimmage makes a man miss him and Falls forward for the first down.
But even though he's a little bit more athletic, there's the role of Kel quarterback is to stay patient and not make mistakes.
And that's probably why the other young man started.
So, let's see what happens here.
They certainly have unraveled a little bit here, the kept the Chattahoochee, defense and Burris on the reception and cookies that abounds by Chattahoochee by Justin Jackson.
You know, a little change of pace as well quarterback.
But you go from a six 1192 58 160 and you know the defense is, gotta just because now you're getting to a guy that you know, pretty much a stand-up drop-back passer with some size on them and then you get a kid that can Jitter a little bit.
No question about it.
So let's see, Kelsey in that.
35 defense of linebackers.
Now they're here, they come.
Oh, what a hit but the UK humming kept the kept the ball and pull it brought down.
By Chattahoochee, he's o.j.
Thompson.
Well, that was what you'd call a run blitz and they hit the they thought was the ball carrier, and you're going to see him tackle, the guy who they fake tan, right there.
Big tackle, but he didn't have the ball but they stayed with it and Rail and play.
That is great defense because they were clearly coming on the run with the intention of stopping the runner.
And when they faked it, they were still able to control the ball.
Now, it's third down and long.
It could look a time when the rollout passes young man from Chattahoochee comes up, limping a little bit.
After the play, he made their crimes Sykes.
That, that was a, that was a good pass.
Let's see what happened here.
Whether he babbled it or just what happened?
Nice throw here, too.
Honey of time good throw.
No, he didn't hang on to the ball ball, bounced off and you got it back.
I think that's what I saw there.
Brian Sykes on the coverage for Chattahoochee and on fourth down fourth and nine.
They will drop back and kick formation and Lisa's back there as a single man at the 35-yard line.
Murphy, Tim Murphy to punk.
We see will call timeout or by Lisa, at least 33 yard line, 30, yard punt.
All right, be sure to catch, Jen hobby of the bird show and she kicks up gpb's football, Friday's all access pass.
That begins Monday, September 7th at 7:30 live from Centennial, High School, Friday nights.
In Georgia were never more fun GPB Sports football.
Friday's all-access pass followed by the Centennial Etowah game.
Beginning at September 6th at 7:30 and on EB.
And I just have to throw in my two cents there.
John also on Friday night, the at the great High School game for them, but on the on the web such a proctor and I will be doing our fourth year of doing the GPB games of the week.
On the internet, we got a good one, will tell you about that later, but here's the snap, in the run, it's not the Marshall makes the most of it.
It's across the 40, the 42 yard line.
Everything just seems to be starting to fall into place.
They couldn't get any gain on first down now.
Every time they're getting five yards or more this time nine yards on first down here you'll see it's a girl with on the stop bad snap but he picks it up and make something out of nothing.
A lot of something, nine yards and wisely remember in the first half, he fought a little bit and got a fumble this time.
He went down and took his medicine or didn't take his medicine.
There Nelson, Nelson gets the first A little more is he's just short of Midfield, but down by Kells that Clover.
Let's see.
Now, how quickly they can get their offense.
Moving now they've shown the passing game, not they've shown the running game now.
Maybe they're going to be back to the running game but I think they want to get the momentum going.
The pace going if they can hear their out already.
Let's see how quickly they can get the ball snapped.
You want to snap that thing within 15 seconds of the play clock again controlling Tempo.
You think that's a bad?
Basketball term, but now it's found its way in football.
The catch is made by Chattahoochee is Alec Ruben and Reuben.
That's the second quarter back to will be dropped behind the line of scrimmage at spread like L Mason kit.
That'll probably be the last play of this first third quarter but it's been dominated by Chattahoochee and we're going to have a heck of a football game to start the fourth quarter here.
Jack, there's the tackle made by Mason catch of Kel as we've come to the end of the Third quarter and Chattahoochee a much better effort in the third quarter with the chase Nelson.
Touchdown run but tell is holding up that fourth quarter and they love they love their Langley and Cal this time it's 7:44 Kell.
Fourth quarter coming your way at the Corky Kell classic here on GPB Sports.
Back at the Georgia, Dome 7:44 Cal, let's throw it down to the field to Raven.
Hey guys, thanks, y'all coach Cook was just in the defense of space is just telling stressing to them how important this is to come out on the fourth quarter and just own it.
The guys on the sidelines, seem a little, a little tense out there, but I think they're they're okay, they're just wanting to see the result of this last quarter and Chattahoochee is really bringing their A-game back to you guys.
Well, Chattahoochee has brought their a game especially Travis Marshall now and I have 11 passing for 48 yards mcguigan's, 6 of 15 for 70 yards to get two touchdowns in the Perception of quarterback comparison Chattahoochee starts the fourth quarter, second and 11 and Marshall is brought down escapes The Tackle perhaps the football, but recovers flying in for the kill, Longhorns was number.
55, Ethan, Elliot.
Now we're going to see a replay here and he did the right thing.
He didn't try to do too much.
Once he got away from it, he still lived the plan.
Another day here at the actually fumbled the ball, but I don't think he did.
He noted a cold all the way down, but it's fourth or third down and long here, Chattahoochee does have the big play possibility.
Let's see if they look for Lisa out of the bottom of your screen down there, the lowest man on the screen.
13 Lisa.
Well it's an empty Back Field.
Marshals had a tough time, just getting time.
Then there's the blitz again and they set up the screen and the pass is complete to she'll be well short of the first down passwords caught by Avery Ward.
Another guy Out by cows.
Number 26 Taylor Hinkle Avery but Butler is one of the people that we expected to see more involved in the offense.
And this is the first time I think we've called his name, it was a bubble screen they set up but well, read by Mike Allen, that's one of their best.
He's already sire.
Number 26, there is the next one to sign out of their back field.
He is another good one coach for the Celtic defense, Taylor hanky three-year starter been playing since his freshman year Marshall, booted, good kick fair, catch called by the Langley, and Kel will start at the 14 at the 15 yard line after the 44-yard boot by Travis Marshall.
That's how you take the Superstar out of the game by kicking it high and making them call a fair catch.
Now Chattahoochee has to play some defense here just underway in the fourth quarter but Cal wants cupcakes, she needs a three and out, Chattahoochee needs a three and out.
Cal really needs to try and just take 45 minutes off the clock.
This Langley, does Langley need to get involved in this offense of possession if they want to do something positive that he does?
Quarterback back in silent and this half so far and there's the give to the first back through you'll get across to 15.
That's Jane Moxie and the new quartet of starting quarterback is back in.
They just did a change of pace bringing in PK Huntley for a play, but now the gun in his back in there, three yards gained at first down, Moxie wall.
Moxie Rolla for the sidelines on second down and seven.
The shotgun is mcguigan.
And again the misdirection has been working so far for the Kel is Khalil Bell on the carry and well Bob you know it's been tailed two halves with Kel dominating the first half and Chattahoochee, capturing the momentum in the third quarter, where we expecting forth, you know, up work.
We've got a great game setup for the fourth quarter here, the key things out.
Eight points.
If you do score, you got to go for the two-point conversion.
If they had made that field would have an entire different way to play the fourth quarter.
But L is, our Chattahoochee is really low down their defense, which is a little bit of a surprise.
Third and six.
He play for that defense and run around the language.
A full tank 63-yard, one by Langley again, just a great play call and sure athleticism.
It's literally a double reverse here.
And there's a lot of green and nobody else in the screen there for a long time.
You know, o.j.
Thompson Chattahoochee, almost disrupted.
That little reverse and look at that little boxing match.
We're going to see it again.
Watch how this play is set up right there and they take your right one sec, one fraction of a second.
The difference between 63 yards.
We'll check out this little boxing match full Jazz being thrown, but the Langley and Justin Jackson.
He just ran 80 yards because he had to come sideways for another 20 and he still looks just completely fresh as he made that.
And boom, he's the physical guy there.
Instead of the defensive guy, what a great call by you and what a great play that was now are they going to?
I think there might be a flag.
They they added another few yards to the end of that, run down to the 18 yard line and what we were just talking about.
They are now in field goal range, although they haven't shown much of a kicking game either.
And a field goal here is going to seem like a like a touchdown because that would put them ahead by a lot.
He's a notorious that would be crucial, whether the touchdown would probably put the game Out Of Reach.
But III points would make it very, very tough to come back from.
So Kelly needs to play defense.
Obviously they got to keep them out of the end zone, then they got to play and hope they can stop a field goal here because we're inside of the last 10, they actually the last nine minutes of this game and it has been a good game.
Big switching momentum.
As you just said a few seconds ago now, its first Content inside the scoring Zone at the 19th.
And lately on the in this Direction that's Moxie.
I'm sorry.
Maybe picked up a yard or movie that's about.
It is a wall of cougars.
Led by Brian Sykes, buy them down.
His name's been called a lad, he is an outstanding player.
By the way, don't want to miss a chance to say.
The young man, one report was a 37, the other was a 39, whatever it was.
It was a hell of a lot higher than mine wasn't when he Bill, what Sykes is being Created by the Southern Conference school for Wake Forest, has given him an offer and, you know, pull it typical for Wake Forest, you know, flying under the radar.
But what's Jim girl gets ahold of them.
He's able to get Max effort out of out of guys that are flying in the radar.
And that's the didn't think you could see the success for the Demon Deacons as running out of bounds for Taylor hickey.
Kill Longhorns is Taylor and Hinkle.
Again, third year starting is a junior, another young man that will Be playing somewhere maybe in the SEC as well.
He is very well received that third down hate over, say it like this, but this is a key play not to make a mistake.
If Kelly, we're not sure that they even got a kicker, they can kick it this far, but if they lose five yards, they are definitely going to be outside of field, goal range.
And this three points will determine the game.
So, big, big plan, of course, a touchdown.
Still not out of the question with third and tap Monger is Why is the top of the screen?
I will not win the game and 5-yard touchdown.
That's just what they did.
Not want to happen.
Dead ball, false start, but they're down.
Now after some back five third and 15 the way again, this is a key player to try to get back into field goal range but the way they've gambled on fourth down if they're this far out and they don't have confidence in her, kicker, go go for it.
There, it's almost four down territory here as strange as that may sound, third and 15.
Manga the top of your screen.
Not too early to say, this is a key playing the game, John.
He's looking toward Paris and Burris.
Ran the wrong route boy.
Oh boy, they're just Sigma and the blitz.
You didn't pick up the Blitz and then come back to his quarterback.
And again, nobody in the area.
The referees were, I would say kind on that because now it's fourth down.
I don't see any movement from the well, here they come.
They are going to try to kick the field goal from 40 yards, 41 yards, probably is where they'll put the ball down.
Cameron Mason is the kicker three yards.
Here are three points here.
Cannot overstate it with 41 yard attempt by Mason 7 minutes and 26 seconds.
Here is the football game in so many ways.
Let's see what happens.
Langley will hold.
I snap kick without naked until Chattahoochee.
Dodges a bullet at the 719 month.
No question about Out of that was good defense, a penalty that had a crucial time, that really helped and, and just no chance on that field goal.
So now they're still within eight.
That means a touchdown in a two-point conversion, has to be made here and we'll see the replay on the kick.
I don't think it was touched again.
Now, you just dismiss.
Hit it.
So Chattahoochee now has a chance at the 20-yard line possession.
They really Gotta capitalize on.
This is the last time, they're going to get the football with the with a full Playbook that they don't have to worry about the clock.
They can do whatever they want.
So yes, it's important for them to do something.
Here's to not listen, up the middle, you'll get about five yards before being brought down by is that Chloe Travis Marshall?
Yes, he's Heading to the Naval Academy, after this whole Brown different kind of option at the Naval Academy that you should be able to handle that as well.
Handle King balak, nice gain on first down, second down, and short, and Nelson.
Oh, it's a keeper by Marshall.
Marshall will gain about to bring up about third and that for, here's a plate.
Where if they had legged healthy, they probably would have pitched the ball, the tank here, who is Who's got good speed.
That tank is almost a misnomer, but he's not going to be as good on that option play.
The pitch play, as would be like, who's not coming back in the game.
Obviously, third and short challenging to play till not showing Goods.
They saw something they change the play.
And here they come up the middle and Picasso be incomplete.
That's intended for Avery award.
The Deep threat on coverage was Julian Burris again, little disappointing, especially after the 7-yard gain and first down that, that the offense kind of broke down.
But let's there's the defensive coach and he might know something.
He knows how big that was and not to take anything away from him.
It was his defense that made the That's break down there and you're exactly right.
Both coaches were seeing there the head coach of the Chattahoochee and the defensive coach.
They know what just happened on that play.
And how important it was now with six minutes to go in the game, they need a good kick.
And then either need to turn up for a turnover or three-and-out long time with.
It's a cursed, I'll run, another good kick and beerus will take it at the 28th, breaks the me, Here's Perez doing the hard work, getting down the field, making a great cut back here.
That breaking, a tackle to tackles hanging on and we'll slowing it down.
Let's see.
If he fumbles order, they are of his own man.
Takes the ball away from here.
It looks like it's somehow it's going to end up in 26 his hands and he runs the last 15 yards with it.
And let's see what that the penalty was against Chattahoochee.
So it's down inside the 5 yard line.
I'd love to see that one more time.
He I don't know.
Here, it's run out of his hand, he ripped the ball out of his teammates hands I guess.
He thought after running More than 50 yards.
Again, when he had the angles running sideways, he thought he was more fresh to try to get the last 15 yards.
I guess you'd have to agree with him here.
Well, father, I've officially seen it all now.
Yeah, that's for sure.
Here is off again.
And a defensive back taking the ball away from his own teammate there, and moving the ball down like inside the 10-yard line in the flags, going to take it inside the fides and unsportsmanlike conduct the down to the 1.
So 0, the penalty was against Kelso, it's going back the other way.
It's been like conduct at the 46-yard punt 61-yard and see him one more time because you don't see this very often.
In fact, I you're right.
I can't remember seeing this ever.
I've never Seeing a teammate, rip the ball out of arms of another teammate and take it.
Another 15 yards Taylor here.
First, I was thinking there's some kind of forward lateral made, it happens with Taylor.
Henkel has lost four games since he was in Middle School.
Personal foul against Kel after unsportsmanlike.
Contact, probably celebration after the play was over.
But the coach said, ankles the type of guy that's always in the right spot and makes things happen.
Happen.
I guess that's what the best examples you ever going to see of it.
The first in 10, right here, big time in the game.
Let me talking about that play for years.
And it carries J Moxie and Moxie bike down by Patrick, Hoffman by Adam pearlberg.
And I stopped on first down clock, inside, five and a half minutes, John, obviously, they got to keep them out of the end zone.
Now I think the coach is going to be thinking four down territory his field goal.
Kicker hasn't gotten the ball near the goal post in either time.
Quite honestly neither The Chattahoochee guy.
So my feeling is right now.
Coach Cook is thinking I'm going to run for plays here unless it's just forth and forever.
Second down and 10 tells third appearance in the Kell classic 12 years ago, lost a Grace from last year.
Now they're up over Sultana, hoochie was McGregor trouble and brought down by Chattahoochee and a great defensive play there by John Sanders.
When he first made that cut back, there was a lot of green grass.
Yes, but Sanders came out for the linebacker position here to make a great stuff actually for the line.
But he was he was held back there and he was the one who saved.
What would have been a big game right there?
He's actually coming up and making the tackle right there from his linebacker position and saving a big game.
They actually lost a yard on it.
Excellent cut back by the quarterback.
That was just a great defensive play that kept.
That one from being a big game.
Third and long, third and 11, the Chattahoochee defense is going to sneak in nice.
Blitz and they do.
I know there's the throw one up but Mi hell.
Knocked it away.
Holy cow.
What a great recovery by Mi Hill on this one.
I was ready to go touchdown.
Like, every building was my Hill came out of nowhere and I think the cubes have did the right thing.
He floated the ball to make.
She had the guy wide open throws it there.
Look at this.
Nobody in the screen here.
He closes fast and just Knocks the ball away, timing is everything in football.
Sometimes.
Wow, that is perfect timing by great male here and let's see if that place saves the game because the kicker is back in trying to 34 yarder and now they're going to call a timeout.
And I don't know who called the timeout first.
Now, it's Cal calling it time, I thought maybe Chattahoochee was using one of those precious time outs to ice the shooter.
We got four minutes and seven seconds left in the game.
Jen, it's safe to say that if we're going to have a game this Determine whether that happens or not.
What do you think?
The coach said to the field goal kicker after missing so badly on the last one?
He can be a hero right now.
Right?
Right.
You're gonna get another opportunity.
Terry Crowley telling his team, you know, we still in this game.
We still can get this, get this win, just as hang in there, boys.
And you got to think that you want to come after kid, but at the same time, the last thing you want to do is rough the kicker and get a penalty.
It would give them a first down here.
So, It's a tough call for the defensive team here, too, but the young man has a chance for Redemption right here on fourth down and trying to make a 34 yard field goal and give his team a very insert tough lead.
Overcome as another opportunity.
Langley to hold the beauty of high school football right here.
John another Heist, a good kick.
Another opportunity to capitalize.
That's what it's all about.
That young man didn't get the ball, halfway to the goal.
Close to the last time that kick was good.
The second and left his foot and right through the Middle with plenty to spare.
We're going to see it right here.
Just and get across, is that right up, right?
We're going to see the young man right here, it got Mason's reaction after missing.
So badly from 40D nails.
They do what the heck, I'll settle for emotion than that.
Wow, his teammates were more excited.
He was ho-hum.
That's what I'm supposed to do.
He said, feel a little bit of Derek cooking him.
I guess he does.
That's a little surprising.
But now we have to turn our attention back to the Chattahoochee side, 4 minutes, exactly to play.
Around 11 to scores to scores for sure and a lap to be accomplished.
That's for sure that they starts with a good run.
Back starts with having to open up the offense, but right now Kel is in the driver seat and a young man who just didn't get it done the first two times.
He was kicking redeems, himself with a great field goal to give them an 11-point lead gen. That's what I love about Friday nights and this case Saturday afternoon and we set up.
You man, you're a lucky man to watch these games.
Have we We set up what's going to happen all day.
And have you done with?
We haven't even had a chance to talk about the other games, but you're going to see the number one team in the nation.
The best college recruiting High School recruit for college and the next game and then to South Georgia, teams a rivalry game, you got a plenty to do, come on down here, looking a great little system tracks and trying to make something happen and gets out to the 30 yard line before being brought down by Mason couch.
I think Jackson was the guy who kind of caught the barest but who Save the first touchdown there and then and then he's joined a lot of good effort here and Chattahoochee now gets the ball under four minutes ago, the ball after 30 yard line, 70 yards away, Fletcher Proctor I would do the games with.
I always have the argument here since you need two scores, if you get the ball down to the 20-yard line, do your kick, a field goal and go for the onside kick.
You know, I totally disagree with him but I got to show how much to my partner that he would he would do that.
Hopefully we'll have that debate as well as the pass is complete.
To number 12, that was Alec Ruben.
And Runa will get a first down as he gets across the 40 to the 45 44.
Bring brought down by Mason.
Keat just do Movin is down on the floor, down the field and he has the backup quarterback that he I think he's getting up now just to finish that the last game of the night is Walton versus Brookwood.
There's coaches kids on each other's team and that's going to be a good one.
One of the coaches at Walton has coached with Coach cruise for 30-something years.
I think they went to school together.
So this is a you know you're when you're playing against your best friend's, that makes it even more meaningful.
So in both those teams, if Grayson was not to win, the state championship would be good guys, but let's get back to this game right here in 1st and 10, 3:30 to go.
Quick Pass.
Know, he'll drop and run and looking for a Running Room is Travis Marshall to the 49 and that's about all he's going to get that skeet, on the tackle again.
Assisted by William po, they are Chattahoochee getting some short yardage but they'd hit something big here, pretty soon.
I was just going to say they don't have time right now.
That's Annie, keep them honest place so that that might just try to make them think twice when he fakes that and then stands up and throws the ball but they need more than four or five yards at a chunk, right?
And the push the tempo.
Well it's been too slow the tempo.
I think for the cougar stands and there's a catch right there by Avery war first down at the 39, only the second catch for him, he cut that bubble screen.
This is a big league run.
Here are patterned that he ran here for the first time, great throw as well, but that was all the receiver getting himself open against pretty good defense.
Again, the team we say might have the best defensive backfield in the state and a banner and a nice pattern, great pass, great catch that everything right gets the ball inside that.
Territory.
You said it down for the Cougars, and a quick runner by Marshall.
He's met by William Po and brought down after a short game and I think they're going to call timeout here because the clock tick down to two minutes.
And 25 seconds, they weren't doing anything show me there.
They were trying to break a big one with their, with their fine, athletic quarterback.
But again, you've got to keep showing it, but they just don't have the time left.
I'm looking to see, I think they have, they still do have two timeouts left.
They did not call when her Earlier and a half.
So 225.
What do you think they do here John with second and long?
Well, you know, I haven't seen Chase Nelson.
Carry the ball in this quarter.
Yeah, and he was huge in the third quarter for for Chattahoochee and wonder if they're going to try to get him involved in the mix.
And he's also a bit of a threat out of the backfield.
I talked about Lisa getting the ball here and I think you got some messages to deliver here.
John.
Yes, I do.

The clock will stop while they move the chains and you'll see him gain the first down.
They'll take it to Nelson, to get him at least in the play a little bit here before he takes off and show that.
But now it's the clock will.
I'll start right now inside the 30-yard line.
26 yard line first in 10:00 be under two minutes after this play.
Taking a lot of time as you pointed out before to get these place.
Called the only saw that controlling Tempo is a football term, but you seem lost and going back and forth that there's a bad snap and up and down, and it was just not a good.
No, good play, right there.
Everything just kind of went to, you know, where with the clock stopped, they still took.
And then it once it got started again, it took 23 seconds to get that ball snapped from 214 to 151.
They moved the running back up his right hip to his left.
Hip to his right hip in the quarter.
There you see, Terry Crowder.
He is not happy, he's very disappointed.
Clearly, they didn't have the right offense that and they got penalized for it.
And now the clock starts moving again, it's going to take 30 seconds to get a play called.
Early in the first quarter, this doesn't look like lunchtime, it's plugging them again.
They had completely gotten away from this and all of a sudden what we saw in the entire first quarter jumped up and, you know, Cal got a first down early in the game with two successive penalties against Chattahoochee.
And now Chattahoochee has two successive penalties to go second and 21st into a nine penalties for Chattahoochee, 470 yards.
This morning's game Coach credit will not like that one bit.
Marshall looking deep, Lisa.
He's got Lisa at the twin out.
He was tackled out of bounds and the flag lag as that was Langley, that knocked him out of bounds.
That's the first even thing close to a mistake.
He has done everything great today but he clearly tackle him out of bounds.
He might have lost track of where the, where the out of bounds line was although it's about a three yard wide, white line.
So it'd be hard to understand that will see the replay and this was a no-brainer call for the official.
Great throw, nice catch.
So the marker and Langley, just brought him down, beyond that white chalk line.
So now they're going to move the ball and I'll ask that question here Jan do you you take another minute or so off the clock or do you pick up?
He'll go right here.
I've never agreed with that.
But if there was ever a case for it, if there was ever a case that Fletcher practice listening for it, this would be a time I would kick a field goal and try to get it within a touchdown.
So you can Do something attempting to go for the six points.
I understand, that's what I would say, 99% of the time.
This maybe Chase Nelson territory, but he's hugging everyone of his players.
There we go right now.
Trying to left side.
Play with stop for no chance.
Before he could have watch the reaction on this side right here.
Look at them.
If they knew how big that play was and that coach today is going to be a very happy guy his defensive unit.
If the score stays this way, gets full credit for this wind, they have just played great.
You know, when we talked to Terry Crowder earlier in the week he said he expected a low-scoring game.
I really thought there'd be more points.
Especially by Jana hoochie with their well-rounded deep offense, but that coach right there in the Chattahoochee has just done.
I mean, for Kel is this called a wonderful game?
Well, you got a credit Kells defense in the fact that they've been able to get in the offensive Back Field and blow up.
Some of these plays, not only that, but just the looks at their given Chattahoochee is offense.
It had to slow down the tempo and you know what?
They play that up-tempo type thing.
And remember, we said they got eight guys playing both ways.
We thought it would show On the defense late in the game has not been the case, give them great particular conditioning as well.
Now here's another penalty, probably against Chattahoochee I really thought John if it came down to the end of the game and those guys have been on the field so much there with that might make a difference, but so far given up check to quell it to quell on that as well.
I'll start every five yards is a precious right now, second down and 15.
Well, back to the 40 yard art.
The 23rd Terry Crowley is going to have nightmares of false start on the offense hearing that over and over again.
You don't want to see anything yellow for a few days because the yellow flags can have ten times.
Now if 2012 Marshall, he's looking man open The pass was intended for every Ward.
Just overshot it up.
That was twenty one or twenty.
Six was Langley, making a great play, but he closed because Avery was, was open, the ball was wealth room, but great defensive effort here.
Here, you're going to see it.
Look how open the receiver is when the throw comes.
And then the closing actually is Quincy.
Manga was Quincy mocker but the Trap followed it was not a deflection away.
That was a disco ball in his hands he could hang on.
Third and long.
We need to get to about the 3D at the first intersection, the deal for the ko'olau mountains are always in the right spot, at the right time, it would have taken a miracle with 59 seconds, but they would have been in position to kick a field goal and try the end sidekick.
Now this game goes in the record books, as a car.
Fought victory for the Cal, Longhorns kind of appropriate.
I guess, on Corky Kell classic that the Cal team wins also kind of appropriate after the heartbreaking game, they lost here last year, they were really the only team that gave racing a game.
All year that game went down to the final three minutes return over decided the game in favor of, in favor of Grayson laughter.
So they'll go into the victory formation.
Make sure they don't fall into the end zone for a safety here, and run out the clock.
Falls forward means a nothing, but that will one more time, they do that in.
This game will be over John.
I've really enjoyed working with you, such a great day for high school football.
If you get a chance to come out here, you're going to see to South Georgia teachers and see the best team not mistake the best team in the country coming in here and just about 20 minutes and I really the best player in the country.
So the candy to your with the see him and Grace and rounds against McEachern, Indians were Wrapped up here, John Wilson, Tim McFarlin will bring that game to you, but what, I still have a little business to attend to here more snap.
What a great, five days, five games, this is and what a way to kick it off to get to see.
Two really good teams to really good coaches.
Does he smile?
Now, at least, there's the poor face the whole time 36 and 12 is record goes to, and Well, on his way.
Probably, there's the quarterback celebrating Establishing a team that living reckon with their number four in a statement by day.
They lived up that today with a well-earned 19:8 win.
The first out, tell have a buzz, you take a look at the two coaches exchanging.
Greetings, Still no smile.
Of course, the by, for Cal now and no suit up again, against Woodstock at the stockyard on, September 7th and 8th.
Play 3618, is to start the year and then they had their archrival at the end of the year.
So but they took a giant step forward.
Probably still didn't answer who the running backs are, who they've been maybe with their linebackers are, but they sure proved whether I want me back back, committee shirt certainly worked.
They sure establish through their Superstar was and who they're reliable, people are in that backfield they Prove that they lived up to their press clippings of possibly being the best defensive barrier for anything Langley.
I'm sure if your South Carolina Gamecock fan you can't wait to see him and the Garnet and Black.
And again we saw about 80% of him today and he just had a heck of the game with a couple of touchdowns.
Two big touchdown hand and a couple in a big run that turned the whole momentum of the game around and just an outstanding player, that's for sure.
And we're waiting to get the winning coach here in just a minute but Just an outstanding game, John and Chattahoochee, they fixed the penalties.
They showed a lot coming back in the second half, but clear.
Now that takes I think she's got tarek Tyler, ankle down there.
All right, let's do it down.
Let's slow it down to Raven.
All right, thanks guys.
Taylor, incredible game game-changing performance down there early and you really turned into the game over what happened on that play.
When you just snatch the ball?
Well, I was just trying to support the ball.
So when you get ripped out because they're going for the strip and I guess he's not Take your phone when you just pretty much ended it to me without good.
That's awesome.
What does this win mean for you?
Here Corky Kell, it's awesome.
Molester, came up short and we knew we had to come back and prove that this is our house at him and we're just starting to season off, right?
Thank you, Tim.
Thank you back to you guys.
