Corky Kell Classic: Walton vs. Brookwood - Aug. 25, 2012
In the end, Brookwood simply had no solution for Tyren Jones in the finale to the 2012 Corky Kell Classic. I'm the Corky Kell classic here on GPB tonight.
It will be the Walton Raiders against the Brookwood Broncos.
We welcome you in the big top and of course our final game What has been an outstanding Saturday of the Metro PCS, Corky Kell classic here in Atlanta guilt.
I re along with Trey McDaniel and Trey, our final two tonight and two guys would like to get it on in terms of programs.
Let's start with the Walton.
Raiders who were one win away from winning and capping.
What was a magical year for Rocky?
Hidalgo, and Company.
And 2011, yeah, hit all.
Go characterize it as the best thing to happen and simultaneously the most disappointing at the same time.
But he gets to reload and Another shot at it, this year because of three guys on the offensive side of the ball.
Let's Spotlight two of them for you.
First one is number one Tyrant, Jones big-time running back head to the University of Alabama, just shy of 200 pounds.
Last year, he leads the state with just under twenty four hundred yards.
Rushing the other guy, his teammate who's also headed to Alabama is senior quarterback.
Parker McLeod McLeod's are returning starter he threw for almost 1,600 yards and 18 TD's himself last year and Coach it all go classifies them as perhaps the most underrated.
Player in the entire State and of course they have a third member of that great three, Brandon Cubano and will detail him.
As we get through this football game here tonight on the other side, your alma mater, the Brookwood Broncos, just keep rolling along.
There's steady their machine and they're led by Mark kruzan.
He has an outstanding cast of characters in 2012.
Yeah, the guy you see right there doing push-ups is Sean McGee or scuse me, Jamal coal but his counterpart on defense, Sean McKee.
He's the main guy going to University of Georgia plays defensive end, big guy.
Guy 63, 220 pounds, Brookwood secret is defense.
Not so much offense.
But defense Jamal call the guy you saw doing push-ups, he no longer is playing second.
Fiddle to Nick Tompkins, he's going to be the go-to guy in the back field.
They're going to give him the ball as many times as he can stand it.
He's going to be their Workforce this year and look for him to mix in pipe.
Restore the new move in guy at wide receiver, as well.
And of course, that kid the priesthood kid.
Of course, came up from Lake, Mary Florida and is an outstanding talent.
I call him a mini AJ Green but you know, you talk about Cole, he Continues to follow and that great list of running backs that have gone to Brooklyn.
Absolutely.
And they just reloaded that position but it's all on his shoulders.
He's been starting since he was a sophomore is very first Carry against Walton in the Georgia Dome in the Kell classic in 2010.
60-yard touchdown for the young man.
Let's go down to the third member of the crew.
He's had a busy busy day.
You're in Amman play-by- play.
Now we send them downstairs.
Natalie.
It's all yours.
John Nelson.
Thank you, GT.
And thank you Trey.
Good evening to you.
Good evening to everyone.
And you talk about these two teams, there is no familiarity, no familiarity with what's going on with everything.
With these two teams, all of it.
You talked with these all these two teams with Brooklyn, Walton everything is familiar.
There is nothing.
That is strange, I'll give you the current example.
Take you back to the luncheon of the Corky Kell, classic, Mark Cruz goes back to the Walton table where all the coaches are and he sees the offensive coordinator trip Allen for Walton making out a script for practice.
Guess what?
It's in Brooklyn terminology so mirror images.
We're going to see that the entire game game five.
It's going to be a good one guys.
Take it away.
All right, thank you.
John Anthony price will be kicking off and back to receive a one of two will be Jamal coal and it's an onside kick quickly with Comfort johnny-on-the-spot.
It went 10 yards.
You talk about it surprise.
Dre, you get one right off the bat and the bag of tricks of Rocky Dargo.
So out of this Sean Payton Playbook from their Super Bowl win against the Indianapolis Colts.
They start off not the second half but the game with an onside kick and price does it perfectly.
Everyone else.
Runs down the field in an all-out Blitz, to cover the kick, he lags behind in, recovers it huge play to start the game that tips you off as to how serious rocking it all go is taking this game in the first possession and high fives for everybody on the wall, to Sidelines, particularly number 91.
So the Raiders take over first.
First and Ten at the Brooklyn 47.
That is MacLeod.
Play fake.
Look at long as a receiver, open wide open and it falls just also short and out.
There there was Brian, pray.
Let's take a look at the offense here tonight.
Regions the sponsor here tonight, you look at the offensive line, who blah know the major name there.
But it's a work in progress, if you hear from Rocky Hidalgo and then you take a look at the back field, number one stands out.
Tyrunt Jones and you see Henry Rowling and also you see Brad green.
You see Cubano they're headed to the University of Georgia or returning starter first team All-State last year.
The only of unanimous decision as an Allstate agent and he's a good man as well that gives us 35 take a look at what makes Tyrant Jones so special if he gets past The first wave of Defense, he's so Shifty.
He has such a great Vision Tackle made, but a little bit too late by Josh Brown the junior.
He's also a two way starter for the Broncos.
They've got a few of those this year but tire and Jones is the type of guy that you've got to keep him dinner.
He'll blow it.
Are you going to look at Rocky Hidalgo First?
And Ten for the Raiders at the 36 and there goes.
Number one, again Tyrant Jones and we have a flag on the play.
Let's set the Brookwood defense, Tre your alma mater.
Through with Regions Bank you see Hernandez will you an see and read McGwire up front c.j.
Williams?
Chase McFarland read Sewell.
and then you look at the defensive backfield back there here tonight, Holding on the offense.
10-yard, spot of the foul.
Repeat first down.
We apologize for that and we'll set it up as we get throughout this football game here tonight.
Bruce a mistake there.
Nothing kills a drive more than penalties in.
Gosh, deal.
We've seen so many of them in the first four games.
You can tell it's the first week of the season.
A lot of things to work on for these teams next week before their next game.
All right.
First inmate saying completes it is tackle there and over there was Nick, all be Mommy.
Makes a good open field tackle, not easy to change.
Uncle Tyrone Jones in the open field.
We talked in the open twenty four hundred yards.
Rushing last year that led the state.
He was handed in by grace in the state championship game.
They were perhaps the best defense of the entire State, maybe in the entire Southeast, maybe the entire country last year.
So no one else has been able to do that against Iran Jones.
So a nice open field, tackle there by the junior, strong safety again of line.
I don't make it s a loss of one.
I stand corrected, second and 19.
Out of the shotgun is McLeod.
Parker McLeod steps up under rush and throws over on the right side.
The intended receiver was Ryan Craig and it falls incomplete and that'll bring up a third down.
Craig was open Gilly.
Just tried to hurry as throw a little bit.
Did McLeod first game Jitters, no doubt as he air mails it, into the Earth would sideline, brings up third and very, very long and obvious passing situation.
As the Walton, Raiders make several Personnel changes and they bring stone round.
In the returning starter at wide receiver.
He sees his first action of the night, third and 20, For Walter with the football here tonight, courtesy of the onside kick, the Long Snapper of nobody, I've got blah know who was over there.
I was waiting 700.
Want to get away from that?
You had it'll bring up a punting situation.
You'll peculiar play there.
You had Stone Romberg out.
f******.
But he was more in the vicinity of the screen, pass the entire and Jones, so you're not really sure what was going on.
Again, first game, early in the game, some first game Jitters for Walton no doubt they're unable to turn the onside kick into anything but they should Pennbrook with back field position wise, that's the only positive thing to come out of the onside kick.
So at work said his own 43 back to receive for Brooklyn.
High end over end punt signaling for the fair Catch.
McDaniel.
It sure looked like they did preacher, didn't quite get back on the ball we'll see.
Who comes up with it for Walton.
All we know is they have the ball.
Number three, that's to Kwan Robinson.
Second big play in the game group was offense yet to line up the gonna play because of the missing and you see they are just lost it and Walton special teams right there to pounce right on it.
And I Then another golden opportunity for the Walton Raiders early on and like Dre said, Brooke will it hasn't had an opportunity to run a play here yet tonight.
Yeah, preacher just took his eyes off the ball.
He called for a fair catch.
So in that circumstance, you're not expecting to get hit so you can just concentrate on making a good catch.
Stick those elbows together, make a basket and make the catch and he didn't and already a markup.
A will ders is smart cruise and I'll fire it up Rocky.
Dalgo.
Well, be a he's been overturned.
So Brookwood will take over or what we'll do is we'll redo it, will redo the play over again.
They're going to re.
So they're going to punt, right?
They're going to redo the pot, I apologize for the confusion.
I'm not quite sure what went on.
The referees are trying to figure out where exactly to spot the bow.
So ball.
So it might have actually been a penalty pre-snap, ordering the play on Walton.
Most likely pre-snap, orb.
Would have declined it and just just taking possession, no flag.
So Works will try again and back to receive again.
Our Jamal call And mr.
Priest Iran avert a whistle.
We are told so we will try it again.
Boy, what a break, what a break for Brooke would most definitely.
It's just a good old -fashioned redo.
So Works will again, but at its and over.
At about the 25.
So Brookwood will take over first in 10 right there.
The in their outstanding quarterback, sack mole.
Yeah, the inadvertent whistle really helped Brookwood out there.
Now their offense, finally, after all this gets to take the field Zach Moon or returning starter tall.
Kids 63 205 pounds through for about twelve hundred yards 11 touchdowns last year.
Brookwood snow Secrets, not going to air it out a ton but I gotta say they're going to do everything they can.
And to get high priest, or the ball.
And Jamal.
Coal is also very deadly out of the backfield as a pass receiver as well.
So they will put the ball in the air, but it's no secret that they want to run the football.
No doubt about it.
You see the Man in Motion under Center and the lone setback?
It's cold and that's it, gets it right guard and gets it over the 35 up to about the 37, a gain of about 50, make it second down and five Adam Ledford.
The Right Guard does a great job.
They're creating a hole for Walpole.
And that's all it takes for him.
He's also very Shifty.
He doesn't get the accolades, the Tyrant Jones get, but he is a Workhorse in the backfield for Brooke would make no mistake about it and both Jones and Cole have the ability if they break into the secondary Guild to take it to the house tonight.
12 touchdowns 739 yards last year, running out of this offense from our crews out of bring up a second and 5.
And again it's close to about the 45.
Five yard line and on a stop for the Walton.
Raiders.
What does it look like?
Robert McCarthy is over there to make this stop.
Exact man.
Coming over to the sideline, to get the play call from the port, from the coordinators between every play.
And it's a Bronco first down.
The Broncos with the football scoreless game here in the Georgia, Dome built irate trade McDaniel on Jon Nelson.
Glad to have you with us here.
The give is to 28 killing ground, place the full-back position.
But that could also be classified in, this offense, has somewhat of a half back, slash tied in.
He lines up just behind the tight end, most of the line of scrimmage and runs that.
Inside reverse play, that Brooklyn's love to do for years and years and he bounces outside that play not designed to go all the way outside designed to cut up inside, he does a great job there of out running some Speedy, defensive backs and picking up another first down for Brooklyn, a gain of 16 and Trey, you're absolutely right.
And another first down and it gives Straight Ahead following the Right Guard, those Jamal coal down to about the Walton 41.
One thing I need to point out Gil is that Walton had a great defense last year, but they lost nine of those Guys, two of which were their biggest impact players on the defensive side of that was the Blaylock brothers and they both went on to the University of Kentucky.
So they're putting some new guys out there this year and they really don't know what they have hooks says, I just want to run the football with a fire, but I'm not sure who my Playmakers are just yet again for a second.
It sets.
And that is whole again and her rich Gibson, all the stuff for Walton.
And Brookwood will take this all night till their objective is to just move the chains and eat up the clock.
Said if they're not going to make us throw it, we're not going to throw it.
What's the best way to defeat of the triumvirate that we talked about in the open on offense is to keep them on the sidelines most so far for Carrie 17 yards, 758 and counting down where under the 8 Minute, Mark in what Trey just said, what would likes to run the football and 2:00?
And that's what we're doing now.
Fast moving up in the corner here and the Georgia Dome and the Metro PCS Corky Kell classic.
Josh Brown.
He gets it down to about the 24-yard line and that will be yet another what would first down, you know, one of those in-between down and distances third down and three and a half or four where you have your whole Playbook available to you.
In the defense is not really quite sure what to do.
They line Moon up in the shotgun for the first time tonight and run the draw and they catch they call it Waltons.
Defense off guard, just a little bit.
And once again they've moved the chains that go Things from our crews.
And of course, look would last year 8 and 4 Walton had that drink season of 14 and 0 season coming into the game against Grayson, and they're only blemish.
De los De Grace in the eventual state champion in length.
5 x 46 am first in 10, the pitch on the outside and it's cold spinning out in front to get him, the yardage, he needed.
Watch number 50 are crawl seal right here and create just enough of the lane for chabal.
Coal, to get another first down for Brookwood and goes out of bounds smart.
Move, Nifty spin, move there by Jamal Cole.
It was funny talking to cruise on the phone.
He said, we talk about Jamal:, we say, if he was playing a game of tag, he wouldn't be it.
Very often is how we classified his senior, tailback, or straight first downs on this book would drive.
This has been a very entertaining.
And a fast-moving, first quarter started by the onside kick my Walton.
And we Mark rooms, it's called a timeout.
He wants to talk about your little substitution on the defense, five-yard penalty still first down.
Take a look at the pork would resume and we talked about it up top the record of last year.
Today, I'll be Waitin For and look at the great ears and you were very much a part of that.
Well, my kitchen 1996 State Championship under Hunter and then 2010 under coach Cruz, five-time State finalist 9 region Champions the most impressive stat, evolved Gill making the playoffs 23 or 25 years.
The consistency that not many teams are able to accomplish in the force setting the groundwork for that.
They partner with 150 wins.
You really got the program off and running starting in 1987 it's cool.
Again pushing his way as they continue to drive towards a goal that goal line to make it second and five.
And now SEC now second into I may add right, only eight, second and goal.
We had the pleasure of comment, state championship last year with Grayson and Walden.
This Brookwood offense.
What we're doing right now on the road possession.
Very reminiscent of what Grayson was able to do against this defense last year old, who's running downhill like a freight.
Train Justin, Bailey coming up from his strong safety position, and making a nice tackle there on Jamal Cole, Rich Gibson.
Also in the mix too, that'll make it second and goal at the 8th.
I've been part of an outstanding day, high school football here in the great state of Georgia.
We can't thank you enough for joining us here at GPB, of course, our standing producer, Steve Graham and a great people, intern Monica pictures here tonight and all throughout the day.
Six to give a stacked up and push back the Walton Defenders, go to clean them up.
And he may have lost a couple of correct me.
That's brown.
Great job here by the Walton defense.
It's Colby Billingsley that eventually brings him down.
But watch the initial hit up inside, that's rich gifts and we've called his name a couple times, he takes on his blocker, he creates a train wreck their inside and he has to bounce outside does brown.
And he does a good job, keeping his feet but he just couldn't get it done.
And now Brookwood moral Victory, a little bit for walking trip was going to have to attempt a field, probably Billy Light coming on to finish it off, Brandon Morrow, with a field goal opportunity that spot will be about the 18 and, of course, 5 of 8 and 7 of 11 and it looks good and it is good.
So it's Brookwood the drawers but flags on the play, hold on a minute.
It was fourth down in less than 5.
So if this penalty is on Walton automatic, first, an automatic first down, but they're waving off the flag in the field goal will count for Brookwood, it is good.
So Brookwood the Broncos draw.
First Blood here, under the big shop in the Georgia, Dome, the Metro PCS, Corky Kell, classic of final game between Brookwood and Walton the Broncos lead by 3.
We'll be right back.
Hi.
This is Mike Liberty, marketing director from MetroPCS, we're proud to be the title.
Sponsor of the 2012, Metro PCS Corky Kell classic.
It truly is the standard in high school football, like our 4G LTE network is in Wireless technology.
This partnership is one of the many ways MetroPCS gives back to the community.
We're thrilled that Georgia public broadcasting will televise these games live all across the state, thanks and enjoy.
Coach High School Football starting Friday and every Friday on GPB football Fridays in Georgia.
This week the battle of the big chicken and exciting doubleheader is lessiter takes on Hillgrove followed by McEachern versus wolfen.
A double serving of high school football here in the great state of Georgia, doubleheader starting at 6:00.
This Friday on G BB I'ii nothing Brookwood able to get on the board first and kicking off for the Broncos.
Will be Mitch ho top and how many years has been spent on at brooklands?
Seems like he's been there forever as it.
Yeah, sure does.
He's finally a senior this year.
He's also their punter.
Let's take a look at the scoring drive and of course, the scoring Drive sponsored by the good friends.
For GPB Technical College system's of Georgia, 11 plays 59 yards, the time of possession, 5 minutes and 13 seconds.
Track all runs as well.
They didn't have to air it out once and if I'm the Walton defense, I feel pretty good about that.
They tightened up real nice inside the 10 yard line, Last thing you want to do is give up a touchdown on the opposing team's first possession.
So let's see if they can regroup offensively, we saw Tyrone Jones has, it was way a little bit without first possession that.
See if they can turn it into points.
Mark kruzan company, vintage, hope your football as they burn the clock in there on the board.
Three nothing courtesy of that.
Feel good about now is the Tyrant Jones and Tyrone Jones gets over the 25 stitches way up to about the 26 and that's it.
And I'm about five, tremendous Push by the offensive line, especially the center in both guards.
They really push the entire Brooke with defensive line back about five yards for tyre and Jones.
If he can average 45 yards a carry tonight, it could be a long night for the Brookwood defense for 21 and counting to give again.
The key is over there to make the tackle was dancing there as well for Brooklyn.
They spotted close.
To the 30-yard line and put it down at about the 28th.
Very active, linebacking Corps for Brookwood, although coach said they're a little bit inexperienced and also, a little under sized as well, but they're very active.
Satellite morning while noting that a lot in the Colquitt County game won by North Gwinnett.
And what a job Bob Spire do tonight.
16 to 14 And they get the field goal by the Angola to win it.
Tell you what Bob Spire, we talked about how he plays it close to the vest.
He was emotional.
They're downright emotional in the postgame, very proud of his team.
Of course, you gotta feel bad for a good friend, Mark sleep with him company for, they got thrown out 42, nothing to campus.
Got to get Marin and Company looking to take a spin.
He's over the 40.
He changes gears 50/50 occult 3525 he may go and he does Touchdown touchdown Walton.
He just got in, he was stumbling over and I know Josh Brown was there.
It depends on the spot.
But from this Vantage, It look like it got in, they gave it to him, Gill Josh Brown.
Did a great job, took a good Pursuit angle but Tyrone Jones just too fast.
One of our keys to the game, and this game was keep tiring Jones in front of you.
This is not a guy, you've been let get behind you.
He's been a couple tackles away from breaking it in the first possession and you can see right there.
Why they're so enamored with him in Tuscaloosa and you can see why Nick Saban loves them so much tread works and Anthony price it's going to be price.
The next requirements up it looks good.
It is good.
Take a look at this touchdown right here and this is why this kid is dynamite transfer out of Lassiter and Technical College system, bringing it a highlight.
Look at the great moving expense backs up gets outside and it's an open foot race in Hot Pursuit has brown, does he have the angled up number one, gets in Frankfort upset right there.
I tell you what it was, the initial block by number 30, the full-back Henry routing.
And then, after that, it was all Thailand.
Junk, watch the It looks on right there.
This is going on the Highlight Reel, no doubt for tyre and Jones.
He had a lot of them last year, that's one of the best ones I've ever seen from in the 71 yards.
A touchdown distance in Jones right now.
The majority of that with a resume of five carries in 102 yards, you see on the side hot right now and in his face is his head coach Rocky Hidalgo.
I just said it'd be nice if he averaged 45 yards a carry 20, that's not too bad.
Outstanding run.
No doubt about it and a great call by the offensive coordinator.
Good friend of dpb trip, Allen trip, and Rocky got it.
Goin on up and Raider Valley.
73, our school 352 here in the opening quarter, wolves in leading.
Brookwood fact, to receive for the Broncos is Priester and Cole and Cole will take it.
Five yards back in the end zone and he'll stay there, so and not come out.
So Brooklyn, will take over First and Ten at their own, 20 Tracy, McDaniel Burke, what's really got to regroup here.
They look great on offense, but their defense is really going to have to try to him in Tyrant.
Joe Because he's got the endurance to do that all night long.
They don't have that great one-two, punch.
Like some of the other teams that we've seen, but they don't need it with Tyrone Jones because he's just that good and on what I saw on that last possession that boats so well for Walton is their offensive line?
Got tremendous push on Brooks defense.
That kid is the real deal.
You're going to look in more crews and trying to find out how we gonna stop.
Number one here.
350 to the opening quarter Attack Mode under sentence in a man in motion.
What the place looks long and the past Falls incomplete, the intended receiver out there was awful, Avila gouda and it falls incomplete.
That's the first pass attempt for Brookwood so far tonight trying to get the ball in the hands of their Playmakers in space.
I think with it just being the first quarter still, they can stick with what they had success with before and just run the football.
It'll bring up 2nd and 10 foot stuck at their own.
They Trail 734, almost broke it.
But thank goodness for Walton in the person of that Colby Billings.
It was right there.
Right at his I mean feat she pairing breaking, it toenails are, look at the angle, you're going to see number two coming in your picture.
We got him close.
I'll Jamal Cole right?
Then just hang on for the ride.
We talked a lot about Tyrant.
Joe Jones Vision.
Great job watching everyone out of this periphery flowing to one way and cutting back across the formation for foam and very very short exactly their own 29 and we have whistles and flags again.
Dead ball snapping fraction on the offense five yard penalty.
Still third down, You know, that one's on the center number 60, senior Jared Monday.
Just got a little bit ahead of himself there.
It looked like they were going to run a quarterback sneak and he was trying to get a good push there and just sort of jumped offsides.
You can't really call it off sides because it's the center so they call it a snap infraction and get a look at Monday of course, here we come up to the line of scrimmage It'll bring up a third and 6257 Grandeur three little Mafia 73 Walter.
Just losing the football was known and he got punched.
And then there was Kyle Whitaker.
Dre out of Williams was also in there as well.
Let's take a look at this.
Yeah, take a look at this tree and take us through.
They called it an incomplete pass, but it looked like his arm was in the back.
Not going forward.
It was an empty hand.
We've heard a lot about that in the NFL, they could have called that.
Either way, this could have been a huge break for Walton.
Brookwood, lucky just have the opportunity to punt here.
What was third and inches turned into third and five and now a punting situation because of the penalty rayon Williams.
Got away with almost a face, Matthew sound back off.
I'm out Brooklyn and whole top will punt at his own 10 Mark.
Cruz calls a timeout.
And back to receive.
Tyron Jones.
Let's take a look.
At this schedule for Brookwood sponsored by our good friends at Sonic tonight's game, of course, the Broncos open up, then they get milk break and Archer Park View and you see the tough region.
Play out continues after that, look like that one at Grace, November 9th at, and Grace.
Remember that game last year and maybe Exception by Zach Moon, Casey gains takes it in for a touchdown, right?
It was about to go to overtime and didn't end up.
I like to see him play in Mill, Creek there in the second game crossing paths with region 7.
That's a good out of it.
Region test for both teams.
Get a look at Mark Cruz and of course, it will be at that.
Dacula game, Gill skews.
Oh, no doubt about it.
So they will try again.
And that is shanked.
That'll give Walton great field position and again Flags a 28 yard punt.
And a lot of chippy Miss down there.
Yep, always chipping.
This on the outside on Kick cover because guys are in open space, just fighting and clawing for everything that they can get to Quan Williams, kept that fight, and Claw, and going a little bit happy to play and they flag him for it.
And the strategy right now is put away from number one, you don't want him to take it down the football following play, we have a dead ball.
Personal foul on the receiving, Team 15 yards first down.
There you go.
You talked about that chip Enos, and you'll see it.
At the end, the extracurricular activity.
Look at the bottom of your screen.
There you go.
You see it, right there, the extracurricular activity and there goes the flag could have been a no call but instead it goes and Brooke Woods favor, they'll mark it off, 15 yards Brooke, what's got a couple breaks here?
The first one, being the messed up, punt return by Kai Priester, and they ended up being able to salvage something out of that.
And now they have the offense that just broke a long run on and backed up again, the 30 yard line even bet all 11 of these guys are watching.
We're number one, Zack, but all these right now.
Walton 3430 Brookwood 145 stark, contrast to what we saw in game three.
Turning starter on both sides of the ball and he's only a junior, he'll be back next season to watch him.
Make another great tackle in the open field.
That is textbook right there.
You can put that on the coaching real?
No doubt he got his head across and did everything.
I was supposed to do their job, they're making a second and a half is number one.
This is Jones, who gets to the line of scrimmage and Nick obey obey is there, is there for the stop?
So that'll make it a gain of about about one or no game substitutions.
For Walton right now is they bring in an extra wide receiver remove.
Now those in the slot, Cloud will work out of the shotgun.
He too, like Jones and Alabama.
Commitment the first down for Walter trainer in, on the tackle, this is exactly what we're talking about deal.
When you've got a guy as talented as Tyrant Jones, all he has to do is just wait for a second, cut underneath the formation and he's wide open.
They do a good job of keeping him in front of them.
Still a first down.
Good tackle there by Liam trainer though but it moves the chains and all of a sudden Waltons marching again, very good, tackle by trailer.
Bring up a first down there.
Is that man my man isn't mannequin.
Killing yourself face mask and that'll tack on another As he was going in that pile Tyrant, Jones was crab and danci on the tackle McGee was there as well.
Holding on the offense.
10-yard spot in the pal.
Still first down, man.
If your coach a dog.
Oh you hate to see that.
That just sets you back two or three plays.
And when the running game is working and those big guys up front heel or experiencing a little bit of confidence and they're having their way with the defensive line, the last thing you want to do is get backed up with a penalty and have to go to the air.
Let's take a look at the penalties right now to penalty.
Count Walton 4440 and Brookwood.
145 and of course, these two teams have had scrimmages Brookwood scrimmage to Loganville had a tough time in a scrimmage against Hillgrove.
It's mr. McGee is there ever commit these headed up to Athens to play at the University of Georgia.
It's the first time we've seen him in open field, make them play tonight.
63 230 pounds, six sacks last year, he's so much more comfortable this year deal, because he gets to stay put in one position.
He's so talented that they moved him around.
Last year he played defensive end, I pull back and nose tackle, believe it or not, for this team.
Now he gets to settle in at one position probably the position.
Play at the next level.
Every type of guy reminds me I think that's a very apt comparison.
That's Jones pushing forward and another bring up a punting situation.
Let's rewind a couple of ways.
I guess, I'm sorry.
They called a timeout.
They called their quarters.
Over the end of the first quarter with the score Walton 7 and Brookwood 3.
We'll be right back after this on GPB.

Downstairs to John Nelson Nelly, my English lit, my AP Lit, its kind of escaping the at the moment.
But do you remember the book that started?
It was the best of times.
It was the worst of times.
You can kind of relate that beginning to a book to what happened with Walton In This Very building back in December making it all the way that complete run to 14 and 0 and then losing to Grayson in the championship game.
You talked to Rocky Hidalgo.
He said that appearing in.
That game was one of the best thing that ever happened in his life and one of the most disappointing things that's ever happened in his life and you will talk Exorcising demons.
This could be the first step in doing that since he's up 73 after the first 12 minutes guys.
And just to piggyback off of what John said.
If you talked to Rocky and he had to do over, there will be a lot of things he would do a lot differently, heading into that football game.
And of course, one was the help of Zach.
Layla, you know, he was injured the week before he had dislocated his elbow, the week before, and he wasn't at 100% And he was there difference-maker.
I think he said Zach accounted for 17, turnovers last season, a toast.
Eight of them back to the house and we're tighter ception of come over, right?
One of them was you.
And I, when we were covering the game against last year, the first opportunity to get it close to the 40 -yard punt just kind of staring at it.
He's just so good.
And so elusive you can't wait to see him at the next level, but you're just mesmerized by some of the things he can do at the high school level and Brooke Woods.
No slouch dear.
And teach putting these moves on some really good players, although it is fourth down a punting situation here, Gil, but you can just watch Tyrant Jones, run the football all day.
Rooster and Cole away that their own 20.
I end over end and they're going to let it bounce and it's going to take a Walton bounce and down right there.
So Brooklyn will take over First and Ten at their own 32.
That was a 29 yard punt Bill.
The holding penalty turbine Works, excuse me, the holding penalty during that drive, for Walton really killed him, it's set them back and they were never, never really able to recover.
The one thing that Burke was got to be concerned with is tyrant.
Is kind of having his way right now.
The clouds, not really having to do much more than the Brookwood quarterbacks doing, just turn around and hand it to his stalwart.
And let him do the work and brick was doing the same thing with Cole.
No moon will bring them out.
You just saw trade, talk about the Man in Motion is 32 the aforementioned Jamal Cole Davenport with the interception.
Boy, Davenport was given a gift right there.
There was pressure.
So moon has to get rid of the ball and anytime anytime train McDaniel the ball gets tipped that is disaster and that ball was up in the air, plenty of time and you see David or being able to get right on it another look from down low and this is what we saw from The End Zone.
Yeah, pass intended for brown.
Again, it was Blake mots coming off the right end and pressuring him matzah is one heck of a football player, not a big guy who won Anybody at eight tackles for loss of eight sacks last year, and you can see why he said, coach it all go did talking about his, his senior outside linebacker, who said he's the big play guy on defense and he just calls one right there.
So the Raiders will try to make something happen.
We're after 36, and let's drive straight ahead.
Moving them down to about the 17 18 yards of first down for Walton.
And this kid is just a phenomenal talent.
And I'ma Tell You, Folks, He may get the rate we're going.
He could get 200, possibly, 300 yards on the ground.
Watch.
Brad green here.
The tide in on the right side.
What a great block, hats off to the offensive line for Walton.
He had ran 20 yards down the field before he was even touched.
Could we bounce here?
When the note with the tackle for a loss, we got away from Maggie but it was able to get get ahead and possibly Make something out of nothing.
But like Trey said he lost some yardage, but also far before, that carry check these numbers right now.
This is including that carry 11 carries, 122 yards.
And of course, the 71 yard, Scamper for Touchdown.
We're only 14 minutes into this football game, just somebody numbers for the senior running back, who came over from Lassiter and has had an outstanding career in radio, valleys a single back behind Parker, Cloud.
You see the Man in Motion the park in the clouds going to roll, right?
And look and at dump off and quickly stepping out of bounds it was Henry Rowling who was a safety valve and was able to get down to a bad but we have penalty penalty.
No, we don't have a penny, let's take a look at the replay tray.
This was like you said, perfectly described Gil.
As a safety valve, there was nothing that McLeod could do he didn't want to go out of bounds and take the loss.
So he settles for just getting back to the original line of scrimmage and getting Rowling out of bounds, we have the 21 yard line, third and very long.
We've yet to see Parker McLeod really show off his arm and put the ball down the field, maybe now's the time MacLeod, will go over to trip Alan the outstanding offensive coordinator and of course his dad is on the Brookwood coaching staff and as a volunteer assistant and you take a look at the world.
Scheduled a yeah, let's take a look at the Walton schedule brought to you by a good.
Friends at Sonic.
You see next week Gil will be in McEachern for the doubleheader.
We'll start off with Laster and Hillgrove but the night cap will be McEachern and Walton and little bit impressed with what I saw in the kitchen today at least in the first half against Grayson.
And they've got some real stiff competition last year is going to be great.
They got one of the best quarterbacks in the state and Eddie Prince coming back.
He's a D1 guy at a what?
No.
Slouch.
They've got a chance to win their region again though.
Gil.
I think they're the best team by far in that region, but they will be testify last year as they were last year ended up playing them twice.
Last year and almost lost him in the playoffs.
Last year.
Had a chance of their own to make it back here to the don't last season as well.
And that game against Milton also looks a little tempting to because that has a lot of appeal, gilts irate, Ray McDaniel.
And of course, John Nelson.
Roman is Sidelines here tonight, it is right now, the Walton Raiders with a 7 -3 lead over the Brookwood plateaus and the Raiders are driving for more third and 13.
Good 21.
That's McLeod out of the shotgun.
See the spread set the cloud in the pocket looks as a receiver and that it's complete.
Brad green.
The senior so far tonight, Jill Brad green has been relegated to blocking duties for tyrant Jones here.
He gets a chance to go out and show his past catching ability and we see for the first time tonight.
Parker Cloud really dropping back in a good pocket, stepping up and delivering, a great pass to his tight end first down in gold.
Now for Walton, this is what the University of Alabama like so much about McLeod is he's just subtly elusive.
He kind of reminds me of the Ben Roethlisberger, Tony Romo type of quarterback, knuckle leaving to get it done with his legs.
But he feels the pressure senses, the pressure and makes the adjustment.
There's from goal at the five Jones is fighting his way to get in.
Does it get in there awaiting a signal?
But he's probably dead.
Down and about.
The one foot line.
Let's take a look at it.
He struggled his way and just pushing look like a Rugby scrum Take a look here at the push by the offensive line Tyrant Jones makes the smart move to cut up inside and a touchdown saving tackle.
They're made.
They may just be a stay of execution for the Brookwood defense though, as the heavy formation comes into the Raiders well said, during the second and goal at the struggle to get in, but he doesn't so they'll have another opportunity and underneath that power.
We sold the key down there.
How to bring up a third and goal.
Ladies 829 until halftime at this rate tires.
Joe's going to carry the ball.
35, 40 times tonight goes right now.
Fourteen calories 124.
Trey, I'll tell you something.
I mean, this when I say, I mean, I saw this kid last year and, you know, he was good then, but he's got even better.
He has in 2012 on.
What's he talking about the aforementioned carving zones?
Like I said, you can see why he's going to the University of Alabama.
This is mr. Jones, last year, and this was against Peachtree, Ridge?
Right here in the forepeak.
A look at this straight ahead.
Eerily similar to the touchdown, is scored here tonight in a 71 or 71 yards.
There he is again, but first getting outside and it's a foot race and they claw to close the angle on him, but forget about it.
And up to this point, Gil Tyrant Jones, we still kind of a diamond in the rough.
He was a talented player at last sir, but nobody knew that he was going to evolve into the player that he's become as the season wore on as he racked up the Five yards that he racked up last year, becoming the leading rusher in the state.
Eventually, you didn't really know what they had.
You just thought he was one of many, talented running backs to come through this program, but now he solidified his place as probably the best offensive player they've ever had at the Bronco one.
You're here tonight, that'll make it 13 3.
Now the Raiders of a Brookwood pending the extra point.
So impressive Again by the left side of the offensive line, I was a cakewalk for tyrant Jones, his second touchdown of the game as there's over 120 yards as well, watch the push here by the line and the full -back Rowling has got it done carrying the ball and catching the ball as well and what a heck of a block or two and then Play Courtesy of the technical college, our good friends, the technical college system of the great state of Georgia.
The extra point by Anthony price is good to make it 14 3817 left until halftime Walton and that gentlemen leading the way Tyrant Jones with an 11-point spread over.
Brooklyn will be right back here on GPB as leaders in our communities, George is locally owned and operated Electric Membership.
Corporations are proud to sponsor.
Uh, sir GPB Sports and the Georgia, High School Association George's, Electric cooperatives are committed to providing safe affordable and reliable, electricity to our members.
We are dedicated to building strong communities by helping George's student.
Athletes become the leaders of Tomorrow.
Georgia's Electric Membership, corporations lighting the way.
All right.
14/3 now courtesy of the Tyrant Jones touchdown.
We welcome you back into the Georgia Dome.
And what set this up was the pick which was tipped high in the air to, right?
Yeah.
Look at that group.
Blake monts providing the pressure and Jordan Davenport in the right place.
At the right time, it seems like forever ago and then Waltons offense with to went to work or should I say their offensive line?
And perhaps the best player in the state of Georgia, with his second touchdown of the game and you take a At the scoring drive here.
Tonight sponsored by our good friends.
Of the technical college system of Georgia.
Seven plays 36 yards, the elapsed time, 2 minutes and 25 seconds, that man is front and center.
He's had a big night here tonight.
So far, 14 carries 125 yards, two touchdowns and 71 yarder early and the one yarder just a few minutes ago.
No coach Rocky Hidalgo told us that this is a new group of players that has to build a legacy of their own.
We just spotlighted the fact that they fell short last year, this is a little bit more.
The script that coach it all go would have liked the state championship to take because they were unable to run the ball against Grayson.
You can see how dangerous this wall team is when their defense gets a chance to rest on the sidelines and watch.
Like we are number one, do is work, Josh Brown and Jamal Cole to receive in the ball sails out of bounds.
So, what was the take over first down and 10 at their own 20, and they're in right now?
An 11-point whole tray.
This is a crucial offensive possession, for the Broncos.
They have to put something together on offense.
They have to keep this a two -possession game because if they don't, they're not an offense.
That's really built for picking up yardage through the air with large chunks, personal foul on the receiving team, pathogens to the go.
Correction, he's going to figure it out.
Get it right?
A distance to the goal first down.
So he was right the first time personal foul on Brookwood and I go back to what I was saying, you look very important possession, the most important of the game so far for Brookwood, they've got to try to get some points on the board.
At the very least, flip field position here, especially after the personal foul, and get Walton pin back in their own territory and hope that maybe their defense can be the next to make a big play.
They cannot allow the momentum to continue to go to toward the guys in the white shirts.
They've got to put something together here.
First and Ten at their own 10, they're deep in a hole courtesy of that penalty.
Shut down, Jamal Cole.
Watching Ridge Gibson right here, where it's dips and evil are in the backfield.
You could have taken the handle, the guilt, excellent.
Penetration and a great read by Gibson.
So, look up high.
Here's how it look there.
And they shot the Gap and was able to get there.
And to get saw how happy he was, it'll bring up a second and 15.
Delayed handoff, that's cold.
Walton was Kobe Billings and we called probably joins a lot here tonight, Ray.
I like this play because right now what Waltons defense is able to do is they're able to get pressure and right now they take advantage of that overzealousness by the defensive line and they run a delay in jabal, Cole's able to get Brookwood out of a really bad field position and give them a first down past the 20, yard line now, they can really start to do what they want on.
Offense to gain of 18 of Rookwood first down.
Brookwood first and 10 at their own 20 30 30, 14 32 Walton delayed handoff to Brandon.
He tries to get away from a whole lot of tacklers and over there for Walton.
I saw 16 lake monsters, they may land on it and also number 41, Chi Whitaker was there watch Jordan Davenport.
Come up here from the outside linebacker position and turn Nate ground back.
Side to Blake.
Moths perfectly played by the outside linebacker.
This line.
Backing core right now for Walton is stepping up.
You know coach it all go was pleased because right, come into this football game, he wasn't quite sure what he had on the defensive side of the ball.
He thought he'd be good at ventually.
They're playing really well tonight.
Okay, second and ten 35 and that should be good enough for Or another Brookwood first down.
We talked about Chi Priester a little bit at the top of the broadcast.
He's a movement from Lake Mary Florida.
There's a penalty down.
We'll find out what the infraction is.
We have a completed catch, we have a personal foul, roughing the passer on the defense 15 yards, be tacked on to the end of the run first down.
Watch by Priester here.
Guild go up the ladder and pull down this sack Moon past that was a little bit High.
Look for them to get him involved in the game.
Maybe even with the gadget Play.
Eventually he is their second most talented player on offense behind.
Jamal Cole this guy's made such an impression on his teammates and the coaching staff at Brookwood that they already voted amended their Leadership Council.
He's only been with the team for a few months says, a lot about the character of the young man.
That's a few to Jamal, coal and he continues to run downhill and he's in Walton territory about at the Walton 44.
This is exactly what you want.
If you're Brookwood because number one, your defense is on the sideline.
They've been very busy in this game and they're having a chance to rest a little bit and Brooke what's back to what they did on their first possession of the game.
And that's get the ball, moving on the ground, and they're starting to sprinkle in the past a little bit.
It 11 carry 69 yards, 535 and Counting until halftime the podsnap, but quickly recovered by the Brookwood Broncos.
That was a loose pit bull and I saw Adam, let the resultant quickly and moon was there to recover that'll be a loss.
Heads up play there by the senior Adam left for 65 235 powder.
He's one of three guys, that go both ways for Brookwood and luckily, he's paying attention to what's going on because I don't think Zack Moon would have been able to fall on that.
The only guy that could recover it for Brooklyn was Ledford, we're able to maintain possession and that was DJ Smith and was able to take EJ Smith with him for a ride down, to about the 26.
Great job here by DJ, to save a touchdown.
But a nice pass there by Zach Moon is best of the night and he's a broken tackle away from going to the house of Sky Priester to catches here on this drive, none before this drive.
So Brooke would really start to show their versatility on offense for the first time tonight.
Another Bronco, first down, First, and Ten at The Waltons 28.
Until about the Walton, 18.
Nate Brown is proven guilty to be a real.
Nice alternative option for the Brookwood offense just as Bailey, it's Anna stubby.
Awfully tempting to give them all to give off.
Go on every down because of this talent that they're doing a good job of mixing innate Brown and I'm 9 19 yards the distance and just like that the promposal This is just what the doctor ordered for the office of sustainable drive, that started way back here, their own 10-yard line for the first time tonight.
They got it done with the run and the pass, but it's the guy that we thought it would be all cold.
Their number one credible that enable them to continue to drive and to have The give the opportunity for people to get into a 19-yard touchdown and just like that, we could have a four-point game pending the extra point by Mauro, the kick is up, it looks good.
And it is good.
14:10 now let's tuck the look on replay.
The replay is courtesy of our good friends.
At the technical college system here in the great state of Georgia.
You see the replay Jamal Cole with the great speed, able to get outside and get in the end zone.
For watch.
Adam LED for here number 76, and I stood on a ridge Gibbs.
And who's been everywhere tonight and that's really what sprung Jamal Cole.
He does the rest on his own in Brookwood answers back, we got ourselves.
A heck of a game.
Go along Cole talking a little noise right now Stars here.
Tonight are scoring Drive sponsored by the technical college system of Georgia.
Non plays 90 yards the elapsed time for minutes and 12 seconds 405 here until halftime show.
You can't overstate the similarities between these two teams.
As you see, Whose numbers numbers, 12 carries, 88 yards and a touchdown, not quite as body as tiring job, but he's doing work for the Brookwood offense, but he's in the neighborhood.
He's a wonderful wonderful young man.
He gets it over 230 about through the 30 to the kick, 28 yards, nice return there by DJ Smith.
The junior, you see him mostly on the defensive side, one of their most talented players, one of the guys they're looking to on defense but showing you right there that he's a heck of a returner as he carries eight or nine.
Guys with him feel to improve their field position and we'll see as the cat and mouse game continues.
What is Walton going to do to answer back?
I have a sneaky suspicion, it's going to have something to do with number one.
You will be Exactly, right?
Because they've gotten a heavy dose of number one here tonight.
If you were the head coach at Walton, would you not do the same thing?
I know.
Why would you run them until his tongue hands and 355 here in the second quarter?
And they give us the aforementioned Palin, Jonesy's going to get outside and folks, it's a federation.
Enterprise email and there will be a penalty on the play and it'll be a hold.
And we may bring this back.
I know Walton offensive unit is coming back.
Well based on the flag down, the field near the tackle look like they were going to call a fat.
Laguna De Ferreira was in her office collar but he had the front of the Jersey more of the shoulder even though it pulled Tyron Jones back a little bit.
But the reason why I made that play was the corner.
Josh Brown got sucked in on that play with the initial movement of the offensive line and he wasn't able to bounce outside and play his assignment and Tackle tire and Jones on the sidelines.
That's the reason why Jones was able to skate free down.
The sideline boy, is he fast?
A 53-yard run is rubbed out just like that because of a penalty.
And we've seen a lot of penalties here tonight.
A lot of yellow here, folks.
In all five games offsetting penalties on the play, we have holding on the offense we have a horse-collar tackle on the defense.
The pedals year offset replay first down.
Let's, let's take us through and take us through to penalties.
Let's watch the hold here.
They're going to call right there.
You saw it on the left side of your screen, and there's Brown getting sucked in, like I mentioned.
And then Laguna coming up here and they get in for a horse collar.
Yeah.
Well, you could have called facemask there's really more apt, and I guess he did have his left hand inside the shoulder pad, in the neckline of Tyre and Joan.
So that was a legit call as well.
So, offsetting penalties, another huge break for Brooklyn two and three times.
You've said that so far tonight, I think look good.
As response was to the stiff on that.
He was given at that point.
You just He means necessary to protect.
So we'll get a do-over First and Ten for Walton at their own 31.
They leave 9:46.
Give again is to Jones Mama.
There comes that man, again, same play the 40 up to about the 42.
That's what's so dangerous about Tyrone?
Jones is everybody on defense knows he's getting the ball, but you still have to stay home if you're the defensive end because he can kick it outside here at any moment.
You've got guys, chasing him down the field to make the tackle.
That is not how you're going to have success against Iran Jones.
You got to keep this young man in front of you and you gotta stay, put the instinct is to charge him and he'll put a move on you.
If you do that, a gain of nine, makes it second in one at the 40 out of the shotgun is MacLeod.
The play fake under heavy pressure, by Hot Pursuit, nice block by jolts and they're calling for an intentional grounding on MacLeod.
But I'll tell you what, give Jones, the presence of mind to take out McGee who was in Hot Pursuit Of McLeod.
I love it.
When you see, the to division one guys, on each side of the ball, the Bama guy, Tyrone Jones, the UGA guy McGee, and McGee thinks he's going to have the sack intentional grounding money offense.
I'm John spot of the foul.
That'll be an intentional grounding called.
Let's take a look at this.
A couple looks and again great pictures by the Turner crew here tonight and Steve Graham watch McGee thinks he has them and he's a little bit deceived by the cloud speed and entire and Jones comes out of nowhere and levels him.
But it works out to Brooklyn, a disadvantage anyway, because you get the penalty on intentional grounding and it's also a loss of down.
So you get a double whammy there.
If you're the Brookwood defense, third, and Teen a very long 17, 242 Until We join Mark Harmon and his outstanding career would have time.
We picked you updated on the stores here today.
The winners start early this morning, with Cal and Chattahoochee.
He'll you saw her run blitz right there by middle linebacker.
The senior Chandler price for Brookwood they were keen on Tyra and Jones all the way.
It was all it was a well -timed blitz by Chandler price.
Remember, this is a guy 220 pounds that were just starting fullback last year and now he's being asked to quarterback the defense at middle linebacker.
You did a great job right there so Works will punt At his own 17 back to receive Priester and coal for Brookwood and it would be the up, man.
Priester takes place to the 45 over 245 up to about the 46 and he's tackled there by a special team performer Justice bailing.
So it'll be a first down and 10 for Brookwood at their own 45.
You can feel a little bit of momentum shift here for Brookwood.
Any time that you can get Tyron Jones off the field for the Walton offense and get possession back.
You still got a minute, 46 seconds to go.
Brookwood does have two timeouts at their disposal and see how they play Field behind the delay.
Hand off with a lot of confusion begging for flag, I was Jordan voiced her who just kept going at it?
Going at it with Jamal a******.
You may remember the name boy stur?
His brother Kyle was a very talented tailback in this Walton offense for sure.
Only a junior won't be the last time we call his name tonight second and 10 at the 45.
One minute and 11 seconds and counting down before half-time.
That's moved off the spread and rolling out under Pursuit and brought down at about a loses.
A yard, it's about down to about the 36 yard line and on a stops Walton was blink monster.
We've called his name and number a lot.
We have Gil, we call this number a lot last year as well.
He was a starter last year and remember, he was the guy that provided the pressure on Zach Moon, which led to the Davenport interception, which eventually led to the Tyrant Jones.
Touchdown run.
So everything's working according to plan for Walton because they've got Brooklyn here and third and very long and with only 33 seconds and counting to go on the clock before half-time, the clock continues to wind down as trace it approaching the 30 -second Mark now, under 30 seconds to be exact 23 out of the shotgun and the delayed handoff and that is me Territorial about at the 45 yard line and that will be good enough for another Brookwood first down.
Again of 19 Brookwood going to be content here just to let the clock wind down.
Although it stops here, the stoppage for the first down but no time outs have been used so far.
Let's watch pipe.
Restore on the outside here.
Gil, what a great block on the delay, he's got the sophomore, excuse me, the Junior DJ Smith wrapped up there on the sidelines.
And that's Enables Jamal Cole to Springfree and get into Walton territory.
He's a coal over the century.
Mark 14, carries 107 yards and the touchdown.
If we don't know where this guy's going to play college football yet, but we know he's going to play college football.
Well, he has intimate.
He's at intimated that he may go to NC State.
Okay.
He's considers his Royal Thai relase going to be, he's always got his finger on the pulse of what draw line behind the sick, considering n c-- state.
That was how that happened to be the day.
Yeah, that went up there now could change.
Absolutely but he Talking about he and Priester.
They like what's going on.
They have an opportunity to play right away.
Yeah.
And who wouldn't be intrigued by that?
He's amassed a relatively close to home as well, but I want to say this to the Brookwood community and Brookwood family, and, of course, Mark Bruce, he's an outstanding young men, and their many outstanding and Men, part of that Brookwood program, just a joy, going up there to spend some time with them.
I broke with Community Stadium.
And you are your old stomping grounds, very old stomping grounds and what a wonderful facility in wonderful people.
The bowl on the 43, 86 to go, 8 seconds to go before we call it a first half here in our final game here is part of the Metro PCS Corky Kell classic under pursued as lower and monsters there and gets the sack.
Well, how many times have we called lake monster's name?
And number here tonight?
He's the guy you could see it last year that he was going to be the guy on defense coming back for Walton and he's delivered big time tonight.
He's only six foot, one 170 pounds, but he's playing like a guy, you know, 220 225 Brookwood calls a timeout, although block 30, the clock shows and it'll be an adjustment, they'll put the two ticks back on.
And you see the replay, watch moon on the plate.
Flake mans just gets in before he can roll out, he To get into some open space because he's got three guys.
Running fly patterns straight down the field, including Josh Brown.
It was wide open here on the near sideline, but mots takes care of that on his own with the sack and we've called the number 16 all night long dowel 16, you get troubled lake monsters.
Brought a whole lot of trouble off the edge tonight s and a long 18, two tix to go here at the Georgia Dome and what it, like I said, what has been an outstanding day of football high school?
Football here in the great state of Georgia.
It started out this morning with quell, a winner over Chattahoochee, then it continued on with Grayson Victorious, over McEachern and of course the game train.
I had an opportunity to do North Gwinnett.
Upsets Colquitt County 1614, what a game and then Peachtree.
Ridge really got rolled over by Camden County and Jeff Heron it'll be a nice drive for Peachtree Ridge.
I mean Camden County is a head down in Kings Bay.
And the bronze were here, move over the middle.
The intended receiver is cold and that's incomplete.
And that will be the end and guess who was there of the first step to wreak havoc mr. My number 16 like they're much wood called his name.
All first half 1410 Walton over bro code right now, for point spread, as we are right at halftime here in the Georgia Dome and Rocky Hidalgo, continuing to plead his case to the referees here tonight and our John Nelson is standing by and waiting for him about at the 11 yard line before Rocky gets in the locker room to talk to these kids right now 14:10 as Walton with a four-point lead.
Let's go downstairs to John Nelson who's standing by with the aforementioned, Rocky Hidalgo, Nelly, it's all yours.
Thank you, GT here, with rock.
Let's take things from the perspective of the lines.
I know you had concerns coming into the year on both sides offense early, though.
They're open up holes for number one.
Yeah.
You know we're doing a good job of coming off the ball and our kids will come out here and play hard.
We've got too many mistakes and at the end of the day you know this game probably shouldn't be as close to it as we made so many errors and mental errors here in penalties and stuff that that's keeping it close right now.
So we got to do a better job in the second half that's going to talk about that one are the the 15-yard penalty that kept the drive.
Going for broke with the given points but still defensively you've held him 10 you know, we want to, we want to be aggressive defensively.
We don't want anybody hit anybody late?
I didn't see the play.
I was looking at some stuff now, b****.
Bill so really I can't comment on, was it late what?
You know what the deal was if those are bang.
Bang plays defensively.
We're kind of grown up here a little bit finding out.
They got a good football teams, this one's not over.
All right, thanks for your time rock.
Good luck in the second half.
We'll send over the best seat in the house is the party continues with Mark Harmon's.

Today's top employers are looking for at the 25 colleges of the technical college system of Georgia.
We're building a better future for you contact the tcsg college in your area today or go to tcsg.edu.
Put it here.
It's like midnight middle.
The day were just like midnight with no stars, dark scared us to death.
All right, back here under the big top, and of course, halftime as wrapped up, we get ready to start the second half and of course, Walton leading burkewood by the count of 1410 guilt.
I ran along with trade McDaniel, we take a look at the first half and two names jump out.
Jamal coal and the aforementioned number one for the Walton.
Raiders Tyrant Jones headed to the University of Alabama and Tuscaloosa tickets through the 71-yard tray to get things started here tonight.
Great Push by the offensive line and tire and Jones does the rest watch all these.
Shifty moves he has and once he starts running down the sideline, that's pretty much all.
She wrote he gets past a touchdown, would have been a touchdown saving tackle.
And then on the following Brookwood possession, Davenport kicks off a tipped pass and they're able to turn that into another touchdown.
Tyron Jones, second of the game.
Brookwood does answer right back with a touchdown of their own.
We talked about him Jamal cold, he's the counterpart, and he does his part right here and that's what gives us a 9:46 game at.
Half.
And that's where we stand right now.
Let's head on downstairs, to John Nelson standing by with Brooke Woods, Mark kruzan, Ellie.
Thank you guys here with the coach.
Let's talk about that first half.
It was starts and stops.
At some points, the running game was getting yards and you end up with 10 points in the board, right?
We're, you know, we're playing well at times and shooting ourselves in the foot at times, you know, I think that it's an awful, close football game, and it's closed because of our mistakes on offense.
So we got to, we got to get their running back, stopped in the second half, I like to drive the ball.
Like we did a couple of times and keep him standing over.
Watching the game and, you know, to do that, you got to block and and control the football.
So hopefully we can do that.
And second half I was going to say, you talked about stopping number one.
He was getting it in big chunks at some point.
Yeah, I mean, sometimes we do a good job of stopping him and then you know, he's a talented guy.
He shakes out and gets 25 or 30 yards when he needs to.
So, you know, we got to do a better job of him and him up.
And as I said, the best way to do that to play great on offense and leave him on the sidelines over there.
So play Brooklyn football, thanks for your time coach.
We'll send it back upstairs to the start of the third quarter use the party continues here at the don't.
All right, Jon Nelson.
And Coach, Cruz.
We say thank you.
The halftime stats brought to you, by our good friends with your work, Atlanta, frog, Falcons and train tickets through eerily, similar stats for both teams.
Rushing, yardage goes to Walton, Brooklyn's got a couple more yards through the air.
Total yards very similar, as our first downs.
The two turnovers.
Therefore, Brookwood are huge right now and of course Waltons committing too many penalties Rocky Hidalgo.
Alluded to that in his going in.
Locker room interview with John and the time of possession is about equal to.
We can't make too much of the fact that these teams are so similar to each other.
When Walton started their football program, they kind of went to the Brookwood template.
They do things very much the same way there are multiple on offense, but they like to run the ball.
They like to play great defense and they like, to play time of possession offense and right now the game is closed, the stats are closed, it should be a very eventful second half, and you took the words out of Coach Cruz's mouth because that's a script, you know, No.
He said, we want to control the clock.
We controlled it early.
And, you know, it led to success we'd like to do it in the second half and I'm sure he wants to get it out of there.
We're underway morose kick sales and the end zone and Smith, DJ Smith will get under it and Walton will take over it and bring it out.
So Walton will take over First and Ten at their own 20.
Something interesting is as we enter John reviewed Rocky at all going into the locker room and then Coach Crews coming out, they both kind of had the same sediment.
Sentiment.
They said they both think they should be up by more points.
Are scored more points than they have and they've underachieved on the offensive side of the ball.
Walton gets a chance to try to do something about that first here in the second half.
I mean, see Parker McLeod stats right now, on the first tab to this point five of eight, for 28 yards, I'm sure he'd like to fatten them up when you got a running back.
Like number one, you don't need to throw it a whole lot and he gives to the aforementioned number one, this time Jones turning the corner of the 25 up to about the 26.
And the McGee over there for the Stop.
He's been very active here tonight.
So Liam turn over there as well.
That's a gain of five so that make it second and five 11:40 here, the third quarter.
And like I said, we are so happy to have you with us here tonight, part of the Metro PCS Corky Kell, classic five games, 10 teams and what a day, it's been here in Atlanta.
The cloud under Center, the loan back is Jones and that, who is that, who gets to give?
And he, stumbles as way pushes, his way forward over the 30 up to about the 33 defense, And Adam Ledford opposite defensive end.
From Sean McGee has to hang on for dear life.
There to bring Tyron joke down, but not before, he picks up a first down for Walton, and right now the Walton offenses have in their way, and they have so far in this game, which is why Rocky a dogwood thinks he's underachieved.
Well, the thing about it is Rocky Hidalgo was very upset as offensive line, when they screaming chill, drove got in their faces.
They had another practice and they were firing off the ball.
And this is probably a result of all that work.
That they've been able to do because he's took a took.
It first hand finds a man over the Midfield and into Brookwood territory number 74 Walton and that's Maurice.
Gibson, they keep Henry Rowling into block here from McLeod.
McLeod does a great job of getting outside the pocket and making it very accurate.
Throw to Maurice Gibson.
That's a second time.
Maurice Gibson's been out wide open tonight is they're trying to Target him.
He comes in.
Number three guy on the offensive wide receiver depth chart but he's making a big impact here in this football game.
No Brown.
The gave his talk is not going to be upset with his offensive line under this game.
We know why he's so passionate about the offensive line.
He played officer Blind at Rhodes college.
Is it offensive line guy?
He's going to be very very pleased here as we.
Look at our technical clouds of Georgia, replay, watch Tyron Jones, broken tackle, great block and just outruns the other three guys.
To the end zone, what a joy to watch number one, Tyrant Jones.
Third touchdown of the game.
I like brought to you by the technical college system here in the great state of Georgia.
The extra coin coming is good.
But Anthony price you just heard Terry Jones said roll Tide and they love you in Tuscaloosa.
One more.
Look at this run my goodness, they just couldn't get an Apple Laguna just you just sometimes you just can't do anything else about it.
You just not quite as fast as Tyrant Jones.
He's the fastest guy on the football field and he's also playing running back.
He gets beyond the defense and he's gone.
The scoring Drive, Technical College of systems of George.
Goatee rings that scoring drive again for plays 80 yards the elapsed time, 1 minute and 33 seconds, the data numbers up to date.
He's closing on the 200 Mark two goals 16 carries 182 yards, but three touchdowns and he was in sight.
And two long ones yesterday just sitting on the bench.
Happy to be here.
Let's go.
Even look winded.
182 yards in about two quarters of football and he looks like I could go all day just chilling, just just chilling up 9:39 lead for the Walton.
Raiders and Rocky Hidalgo and companies getting it done here tonight back to receive for Brooke Wood and coal.
And price got into it and it goes out of bounds.
So, Brookwood will take over first and 10 at their own 20 and Trey McDaniel critical time for Mark Cruz and his staff right now.
I believe coach Chris thinks that his offenses up to this challenge right now.
I think the hole in the bottom of the boat right now is the defense and that might not be so much an indictment on his defense as much as is praise for the best running back on the field right now in Tyre and Jones Brooke was offense.
Answer.
Like the last time.
Tyrone Jones scored a long touchdown.
Let's see if they can do it again.
We just saw, secondly, stats overnight First and Ten at the 20, it's outside, and it's hard tag, and pushed out of bounds and over there, making the stop for Walter.
Was it look like Robert McCarthy was over there?
One thing you're not going to see here.
Gil is Panic by the Brookwood offense because being early here in the third quarter you can still hold you.
What you do honey and run the foot yard penalty from the spot of the foul repeat first down.
So the game plan still holds true, we just heard coach Cruz talked about it and we alluded to it at the top of the broadcast as well that he wants to keep the Weapons for Walton standing on the sidelines.
So he's going to continue to try to run the football.
One thing that hurts their ability to do so is putting themselves in an unfavorable down in distance, like they are now after the penalty at first down and 20 because you really don't want to throw the ball here, if you don't have to, since when are you here in the third quarter?
Remaining 9:39, Walton out in front of Brookwood ducks in is, is Moon and he finds his receiver, an ex-priest or with a great lunging.
Grab enough for a first down right in front of TJ Smith and we have a flag, a flag on the play at about the 10 yard line where you thought that was a phenomenal route there by Kai Priester and the best throw of the day for Zach Moon.
Let's see if it was all for naught as they assessed, the penalty could be the second one in this possession for Brookwood if it's against them and you're coming back, a leadership on the offense five yard penalty.
Repeat first down tree McDaniel we've seen again, his story of this Corky Kell has been Yellow.
But this negated just a great grab by a Priester.
Not a perfect throw, but he goes out away from his body and catches it with his hands.
That's exactly what college Scouts want to see.
This is a young man who had originally committed to the University of Georgia.
Then retracted his commitment was to leave his options, open.
I can't blame them for that.
I'd be the same way.
There's no reason to make a premature decision for some of these guys but you're not sure what kind of player they're going to be lit in the spread the lone setback.
It's cool.
Good idea for Brookwood to try to get the ball to their playmaker, in space, similar to what Waltons done with tire and Jones a couple of times.
He tries to throw this over the shoulder of Jamal Cole was out in space.
If Cole is a couple inches taller, maybe he catches that ball but because of the penalties, Brooklyn's backed up very deep into their own territory and right now, they may just be satisfied with just trying to get a Off and regroup next possession and no matter what Waltons going to have a short fear.
Correct that's correct.
Correctamundo and short field combined with number one is a bad recipe if you're on the Bronco sideline, the loan back is brown in the flat.
Is Cole, and that's who they look for and they throw way over his head and it's out of bad.
So that will bring up a punting situation tree McDaniel.
Correct.
Yeah, well, I believe that was second down at least according to the Chain Gang.
So, this is third down in 25 here.
What I didn't like, they're from Zach Moon, as you really telegraphed where you wanted to go with the ball, he took his drop and he just stared down Jamal:.
Jamal, cold is covered very well by strong safety Justice Bailey, if that ball is not thrown out of bounds, He's putting his team in a really bad situation there.
I would not be surprised right here Gil to see Brooke would just go for a run.
Maybe another one of those draw plays that we've seen earlier in the game to Josh Brown out of the shotgun under pressure builds up and completes the pass but it's not the way from coal.
So now the punting unit comes aboard, that's correct.
And again it's the same matchup that we just saw in the previous play for the past, went out of bounds again.
It's Jamal Cole running a drag route across the formation and covered by Justice Bailey, it was an accurate throw, but Bailey's, just all over him.
Does a great job here?
Up striking Jamal Cole, right?
At the moment of the ball gets there and a big-time stop for the Walton defense.
It's uphill pot about eight yards deep in his own end zone.
Back to receive the Smith and Jones.
The up man is Smith terms and takes it over the 35 down to about the 33 at 30 yard punt, by ho top, and a short field for Walton.
And you got to believe that the prescription and the recipe will be give it to number one, and see if he can't take us to the promised land.
Again, we're not bringing forth.
We're not breaking any news, there 182 yards and three touchdowns.
It's not often in these big.
Games to start the season that a player lives up to his billing preseason but tire and Jones has done just that tonight Gil 182 yards and three touchdowns easily the best player on the field tonight.
The lone setback behind McLeod, First and Ten at the 34th.
See the man in motion and the give is to Jones.
He stumbles and Spins his way down to about 225.
And he continues to chew up clock 9 15 and Counting and the third quarter and just methodical the offense trip.
Allen Rocky Hidalgo just snatching guys at the point of attack.
And number one is able to just continue to rack up real estate trip.
Allen looks like a genius when you got a player like Tyrone Jones in the backfield.
It's got to be very demoralizing as well for the Brookwood defense, because they know what's coming, and they just can't seem to stop running.
189 yards for that man.
It continues to run downhill, open space to the 10 down inside the eight carrying about for Broncos, with him for the ride.
Look, good among them.
Here's the replay tray just downhill running.
Absolutely sometimes when you get a guy like tire and Jones who has the speed that he has, your tend to overthink things a little bit but I like how Tyron Jones just gets the ball and runs downhill 208 yards and three touchdowns and Counting.
And we're still have half the third-quarter to go 200 yards and Counting is exactly what the man in motion and they spread out there as well in Bergen the give.
Is this spinning Jones and he's down to about the fool.
One thing I like here Gil is, is even when Brookwood as coach Crews, put it right before the third quarter, hems him in a little bit, you never see Tyrant Jones going backward.
Adam LED for does a great job there to plug the hole, the three-year starter at defensive end, but still Tyrant Jones.
Carries with him a six foot five, 235 pound guy and picks up an additional two or three yards.
Mowed Gibson to The Far Side.
The lone setback behind, Parker.
McLeod is Tyron Jones.
Givens to Jones a good step Ducks inside continues, the moon spins, and he's a touchdown touchdown Tyrant Jones, all effort, they had them hemmed in, he got through spot and got himself to paid her, his fourth touchdown on a night.
This is the iso, the great job, buyer Turner, guys.
And this is why this is a top tailback folks technical college system.
Touchdown highlights.
The replay here on GPB dead in the backfield, they had him Liam trainer.
Adam.
He takes a step back and then lunges forward and makes two or three moves within a five yard period of scores.
Fourth touchdown of the game that was his best run.
Despite too long once night, that was his best, the extra point by price is good and this thing's starting to get out of hand right now 9:32 and that man having a career night, 7:30 8:00 and the third and the rater or doing it to the Broncos will be right back after this as leaders in our communities George Is locally owned and operated Electric Membership.

GPS beeps, GPB football Fridays all access pass, beginning Friday, September 7th at 7:30 live from Centennial, High School, Friday nights in Georgia were never more fun.
GPB football Fridays, all access pass followed by the Centennial.
Aw game beginning September 7th at 7:30 here on GPB and gpb.org He's gotten floor and a man, I'll probably try to get five and six and seven.
But look at this here tonight, take us through tree McDaniel, and what he's accomplished here tonight, just put the footstool up on the Barcalounger and just sit back and watch the magic happen for tyrant Jones four, touchdowns tonight 71 yards, 1 yard 48 yards, six yards and he's not getting it done all by himself.
Although right here, you may beg to differ with me as offensive line has had a heck of the game.
This guy is a sight to behold.
You'll be playing for Nick Saban Alabama next season.
And this guy was undersold coming into last season and he has emerged as one of the players to be reckoned with in the state of Georgia.
He's got the inside track on player the year.
I know we're only two and a half quarters in his senior season, unbelievable foreplay's, 34 yards.
The elapsed time, a minute 48, technical college system of Georgia.
We say thank you.
And the thing about all of those touchdowns tray, they've been all done.
Different way, athleticism speed, the ability to have to see holes to get through, and the vision.
And Rocky Hidalgo talked about that in our conference Curlew call earlier this week that this kid has great vision and you see it for you, see it for yourself, I mean, an outstanding performance here tonight and an outstanding young man.
And utterly demoralizing, if you're the defense that's asked to stop hit on a week in week out basis.
Right now, your biggest concern.
If your Rocky Hidalgo is keeping number one healthy for the remainder of the Season, he's already got 23 carries here tonight.
We've got seven minutes and 38 seconds to go before the end of the third quarter.
But you've got to keep your foot on the gas if your coach had all go.
So I don't look for tyre and Jones to come out of this football game and until about 12 or 13 minutes.
Clockwise from right now, he's going to his long as they're on the football field as an offense, he's going to be on the field.
Loom, Jamal cold.
Did not bring out prices kickoff.
So what will occur is the Broncos will take over first and 10 at their own 20.
They are in a hole.
An 18-point whole down to Walton 9:32 at 7:38 is straight, talk about here in the third quarter, the pitch Cole who turns the corner.
It's got one tackler, but doesn't get by the others.
You get It's over the 20 up to about 222 mans was over there.
And then a couple other people.
So DJ Smith over there as well.
Trade does Brooke would continue their prescription of success running the football.
Well you have to right now but on the previous possession I said there's still plenty of time left and the game of Vermont closer so you can do what you want to do and run the ball right now.
The reason you want to run the ball, if you've got to get the chains moving your defense has been on the field and they've been on the field.
Pursuing number one, all night.
They've got to take a break right now.
Sean McGee's down the sideline with a towel over his head.
He's just gas right now Brooke.
What's got to move James Brown out in space and moon.
Overthrown moon has not been especially accurate here tonight, probably his most accurate.
Pass was the one to cry prieser and it eventually got called back because of a penalty to 2 of 9, for 31 yards and coal right now.
15 carries, 110 yards, courtesy of our statistician here tonight.
Kevin Barnes, I'll bring up holding on the defense ten yards, previous spot first down in the Brookwood faithful here at the Georgia Dome, saying to themselves.
Finally, something good to happen to us, Brookwood shot themselves in the foot a little bit.
But they've also been a victim of one of the best players in the state is Zach, Moon comes over Gill during the penalty call and gets a Bit of a pep talk from coach Mark, Crews and takes the field.
He's going to have to start completing some of these passes because it's receivers do have separation.
6:44 in the third quarter.
First and Ten for Brooklyn Moon working out of the shotgun with delay is to pull an internship or a territory territory about at the 41 yard line, where he steps out of bounds, DJ Smith over there among those to push out a 26-yard game, Jamal Cole, put up some gaudy numbers himself right there as he's doing a lot of the same things.
The same place that Tyrant Jones is racking up his yards.
They're sealing off the Defenders to one side and allowing cold to cut back and he gets out into open space.
TJ Smith the junior Corner does a great job of getting them out of bounds right there.
But Brooke was marching the football right now.
That's exactly what they want.
Give their defensive break and hopefully for Coach cruises sake, put a couple points on the board because it could get out of hand, quick round and cold behind my first exam at the Walton 41.
Moon drops back.
Looking for Priester and almost got him.
A tip pass, but it's knocked out of bounce.
Let's come it.
Coming over to defend and it's incomplete Trey.
Now, if we take a look at the replay here, Priester is open starts to separate about the 21 yard line, but he only puts one hand out here to try to catch the ball.
Looks like if he extends both hands he reels this in this is a very accurate pass.
We got to give Zach Moon as his do, look at Priester, he sticks out the right arm.
Only, don't ask me why I didn't use both hands.
He could have caught this past, probably not scored, but picked up a big first down for Brookwood inside.
The Red Zone, second and 10 at the 41.
9:32 will turn out in front of book with the man in motion.
You saw the aforementioned preschool.
We give it's the phone coming around like that he pushes his way down to about the 34.
That's a gain of about 56, 15 and counting down.
Jamal Cole Stetson tonight, 17 carries 141 yards and the touchdown that brought Brookwood within 10 at 1410.
But after that will turn is really, really put this thing out of reach with two touchdowns by mr. Jones, plenty of time left in this game.
If Brooke was able to put a touchdown on the board on this possession, if not kind of scary for the Broncos to fake, the tile and grout to be taking the field again.
And I think they've gone to the well, one too many times.
Bill with this, First to their own hand, absolutely to their halfback brown brown, a talented guy, but right now when he's lined up in that position, just off the rear end of the tight end on the strong side, the defense knows what's coming and look who stuffed it out mr. Cupola no and of course headed to the University of Georgia we talked about him.
He's part of that big three package, there's a big fella.
One of the super 11 for the AJC 63 Tywin Jones, and you see his numbers, the stats is measurables very impressive by ho top, not po, tops best kick.
He wishes.
He had that one back and so does the coaching staff.
He kind of stutter stepped a little bit before he kicked that and he kicked the nose of the ball.
The net Effect 3 yards.
The trajectory doesn't matter right there.
You actually want an end over end.
Kick on the pooch.
Kick and try to coffin for it and get a 15 to 20 yard roll out of it.
He just just shanked it right there.
Well, you see a shape and you see it wide.
Watch him.
Stutter Step.
Here he does exactly what he's supposed to do.
But he has a little bit of a Loss of concentration than it cost his team, some field position, you can ill afford to give up field position and your down 18 points.
And number ones, back on the field.
Speaking of field position the Walton, Raiders at their own 37.
They leak 9:32 with the football as we approach.
The five minute Mark here in the third quarter.
Fist to the first back through for Walton here tonight and that was Henry Rowling the big full pack and a collective sigh of relief from the 11 guys wearing maroon jerseys on defense that somebody carried the ball that wasn't named Tyrone, Jones mode.
Gibson those out of the football game.
He was replaced by Stone rønneberg second and six again afore.
The Walter 4:26 to go here in the third quarter 2810, all turn out in front.
There's mr. Jones.
He spins his way.
It's close to about the 45 yard line.
It depends on the spot and he was pushed back, and the game was their dance.
He was there.
Chris dance, he does a great job right there, coming up from his linebacker position to turn Byron Jones inside and not let him get the corner and that him two men, just enough to prevent him from getting the first down.
This is the biggest play of the game so far for the Brookwood defense, third down and short for Walton.
They've got to do something right here.
If they want the ball, that we just got to look at the middle linebacker for liquid.
Who was also in on the play number 33.
Chandler.
Price.
Third and three.
Bye Joe.
It's a loose footballing.
They got right on top of it.
And that was Henry Rowling.
That was a loose football and that had disaster written all over it.
One of the few mistakes, the Tyrant Jones has made here tonight.
Take a look at this tray.
They give it the tire and Jones, no secret here and he just drops the football and there's a couple guys in the area for Brookwood but a heads-up play by rallying to at least give him a chance here to punt the football and improve the field position.
Otherwise it would have been Brooke with ball First and Ten inside Walton territory and they did.
Been able to pick up, right?
Where they left off for their previous drive.
Stalled.
Instead, they'll punch.
And Trent works at his own 31, kind of fumbles it, but gets it all.
And it'll take a Walton bounce and continues to roll and it will end up right at the 12-yard line.
It checked up at the 25 yard line and actually bounced off the hip of a Walton player.
So they actually bring the ball back up to where the contact was made.
That'll help Brookwood just a Lil Bit and they'll try to get back to what they were doing to be Brooklyn.
Ball person 10, 26, yard line.
Brooke will try to build off of some of the momentum that they were able to establish on the previous drive, even though they weren't able to turn it into points, look for more Jamal Cole, and I think it's that time of the game, Gill work high priest or needs to play a little bit bigger role 36-yard punt.
And work will take over first and 10 at their own 27.
They trailed 9:32 let's see.
And he is tackled over there by Justice Bailey gain of about of about what for yeah, looks like about it, but we are gained a guy want to talk about on that play as the left tackle, senior, Tyler Evans.
We haven't had a Time to talk about him.
He makes a great seal block there to allow cold to get to the edge.
This is another guy that's moved in for Brookwood, he's from Washington State and he comes in his first year.
He's a two way starter for the Broncos, 63 to 68.
He's a good 15 to be exactly a lot of yards gained on that run.
I don't think it s at 5 under the 2-minute.
Mark here will cool it down by 18.
38 a 30-yard run.
That was what you call something, out of nothing.
We just said that they'd gone to the well, one too many times when they ran that before, and they had a chance to tackle ground for a couple yard loss and he just gets outside and makes a nice Cut here and gets past the junior Jordan Forrester and was able to pick up a big yard or big chunk of yards to Brooklyn Cavallo.
Also, with the missing he was able to get by him.
So a 30-yard trip, gives Brookwood a first down as Colton.
39 trying to get something going.
133 to go here in the third quarter, moon barking out instructions and brown in motion.
The give is to the second back through and that's coal and he continues to run downhill.
He's back down at the 35.
Ray Vaughan Williams comes up there and makes a nice tackle, the junior defensive end and he's only playing today because Trey Thompson, the would be starter has a foot infection and so they had to put the Junior in there at defense of enemies held his own very well.
Today under a minute to go second and six for Brookwood.
At the Walton, 35.
The long back behind moon is brown, and that's who gets the pitch, spins around correctly, that's Cole.
And he spent his way down to 30, I'll lose the ball, but the ball was blown Dead.
Carl Whitaker among those on the stop?
Yeah, let's give Jamal pull some props because he could have been dropped for 45 yard loss right there, and he also made something out of nothing him and brown of both done.
A good job of that here.
The offensive line not getting a lot of push.
this particular possession on the Walton front for a lot of movement on the defense to pre-snap for Walton, no off the quick snap and the pitch is too cold around the left side and then on the stop was just as Bailey over there to was Robert McCarthy Clothes still first down, it's enough for a first down in Brooklyn's, hurrying up to the line.
You're going for a no-huddle right now 372 go at the end of the third quarter.
Absolutely.
Trying to get him play on the floor and gets inside the 20 down to about the 19 and the Red Zone.
We're at the end of the third quarter, we're going to take a break as we move into the fourth quarter.
But up four fingers, and it's welcome.
The gate, Brookwood 10, a big night for that guy.
He's been something, something Tyron Jones and then more, we'll be right back after this.

Starting the fourth here at the Georgia Dome 2810 Walton over Brooklyn downstairs, to John Nelson.
John GT, you know, it have time.
Mark, always has that segments, are you smarter?
And he has a principles with the school.
Now, it's time to play.
Are You Smarter than your broadcast Partners?
Let's talk about the Brookwood running game and Jamal coal.
Being the latest in the Run of running backs that has been tremendous for the Broncos in their history.
Now tray, I can think of a couple off the top of my head and here's where you get to fill in the holes, I can go.
Sen Lamar LED them, and Nick Tompkins.
So go ahead and help me out and finish the rotation and see if you can do it in the order of time.
Well, you got gory Townsend, Freeman Hall, Lamar Covington, Kenny miles, Demetrius LED l'm Cameron Smith and Jamal Cole.
Did he get it in?
Huh, how much was he?
A lot of time?
30 seconds.
I didn't hear a buzzer go off know so, obviously, you got it done.
And here's the Jamal numbers.
For Jamal, Cole, 22, carries, and 171 yards.
That would be a great night.
If it weren't for number one and what, he's actually, right?
Who's upstage him?
Second and three moon off a play-action looking for that big receiver priesthood and it's incomplete.
DJ Smith over there defending on the play.
We could foresee this happening at some point as they inch closer to the end zone, given Priester a chance to go up and make the play, and he darn near gets one of his feet down.
Would have been a circus.
Catch something that I have a feeling, we'll see Julio Jones doing at the exact same spot on the football field and just a few weeks.
Well yeah, there you see, replay and here we go, and here's the jump ball.
Not a bad throw by Muno.
Excellent coverage by Smith and you talk about the Falcons being in this.
In this building, there would be a lot more activity before they get here and that Monday nighter that home opener against the guy by the name of Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos.
Scrambling looking inside of his receiver, three School.
Finally got open and pushed out of bounds as he broke away from Smith's down to about the to Let's look at Zach, Moon on this replay.
He does a great job, watch how smart he is to not throw the ball right there.
He lets priest her separate a little bit from the defender and makes the smartest play that he's made so far here tonight for Zach Moon.
Priests were making a great catch.
We knew there were going to try to get the young man, the ball.
And they have, he said, Brookwood up with the first and goal McCarthy came over on the country of safety.
A touchdown for Brookwood Do they make something happen?
Thanks in part to that, great catch by Priester and the ability to churn and move and push the football and getting the end zone with Jamal, cold and Gil.
You're right on the money being overshadowed tonight by Tyrant Jones but Jamal hole in his own right watch this great vision by the young man to pick up a well-needed six points for the Brookwood Broncos, no matter what happens here with the p80.
This makes it a two possession.
Game.
And that's exactly what coach Cruz wanted the Replay by our good friends by the technical system of Georgia, The extra point splits the uprights, so just like that.
Brookwood is on the board and they cut that leave.
Now 228, 217 11:38 to go here in the fourth quarter, the scoring Drive eight plays 73 yards, the elapsed time, 6 minutes and 2 seconds.
And again our scoring Drive brought to you by the technical college system of Georgia.
See Cole's numbers on the night and we are going to like I said, a very impressive night for that young, man.
23 care.
173 yards and two touchdowns but clearly being overshadowed here tonight by Tyrone Jones.
And this is the time in the game where the next big mistake for either team, could really seal the fate of Walton or Brookwood Brooklyn.
Right now desperately needs their defense to step up and not just get a three and out Gil.
This is the time in the game where you need to try to go for the turnover in my opinion, because you've captured momentum but momentum for Rookwood in this game so far has been fleeting because of tyrant Jones.
Machoke top back to receive this list of the oolitic goal in the end zone.
So Wilson will take over First and Ten at their own 20 1138.
Plenty of time tray, plenty of time, we've already had one while.
Came here to say, yes, we did North Gwinnett over Colquitt County, 16 to 14 and this one.
Over yet and yeah, we can be honest because that's we don't sugarcoat things here.
When we're in the broadcast booth, that was the one game earlier game three that we thought might be lopsided.
And it proved to be the best game of the day with North Gwinnett, pulling out the victory.
But I never saw what Camden County put on Peachtree Ridge and you got to feel for Mark, Fleetwood because that's a tough one.
That's a tough one to take back to Suwannee and you just, anybody that knows coach Fleetwood, just absolutely Class Act loves them.
Last a great guy.
And you hate to see that kind of number hung on him but he's got nine more games to go.
There you go.
To rally the troops.
And speaking of a Class Act and pushing the pile for six is Tyrant, Jones has been one classic here tonight and they cannot, they cannot wait to see him over we're in the Crimson Tide.
Over the Capstone at Tuscaloosa.
But he'll have some stiff competition over there at running back.
I will tell you something, right now I can Envision him sitting on the sidelines behind anybody check this out right.
26 cars and 2228 yards on the night for Tom and Jonah.
Alan Jones going to get the hand off of him.
And he pushes the pile, any moves?
Over the move it up and this was a game-winning field goal by Michael D Angola.
And he just does not mean he just wedge that thing in this place went upside down here for that because Parkwood had momentum, most of the game but kept shoot themselves in the foot and we didn't expect North Wind, even touch the ball again, but they were able to get the ball back with guilty to good field position on a minute to go.
They turned it into three points.
Thanks to a very talented, underrated quarterback my community.
It's up to the 40 yard line, and that'll be a Walton first down.
He is hard to get that most definitely, and just what?
They got somebody in the backfield to make him change direction, but it doesn't matter.
What direction, he's going, east west, north south.
He does it with such Grace and ease and we keep alluding to that Vision his biggest asset, despite everything we've seen tonight.
You know, we talked about that being goal of field goal, but Russell King was the hole.
Major props to him because he was able to get it down and not an easy thing by because there was no time out ever try to paint Game, beat the clock, baby, beat the clock, and they did, and they be conflict County in a huge upset earlier here.
Today, here on GPB, it's Jones spin it again.
Push It Forward Drive getting close to about the 44 yard line.
And we have an injured player for Brooklyn and that does not look good trait.
No, that's that's, that's what I want.
Oh, Lagoona had looks like Laguna and he got underneath a lot of people.
Think when you're holding at me like that, that it's a cramp.
I really what crap.
It's a cramp and you just want to see exactly they can get get him.
Some relief we're just going to make it influencing him right now.
Little too late too little too late with the fluids but they got a stretch that calf muscle out before.
Happened a lot guilt in the first game of the season in a climate-controlled environment such as the Georgia Dome.
As these kids fluid start to be depleted, they start cramping up, we saw during our last break, Jamal coal here on the near sideline getting stretched out as well.
The young man has been suffering from cramps which makes his accomplishments tonight, two touchdowns and 170 yards.
All the more, all the more great for that young man because he is, it's been a struggle for him.
It's another great season of Georgia traveler at its new time, Sundays at 7:00, on GPB watch today.

Garrett Reynolds comes in as Apple gouda has to come off the field.
Reynolds comes in as the as the safety to replace Laguna, the gain of 3 by Jones Man in Motion right now and the key of his to Jones and the cloud dates.
One tackler spends, his wife gets close to Midfield and brought down at about the A -10 on a stop over there.
For Brooke was Adam Ledford little shot of Rocky Hidalgo.
Walton sidelines.
Eric laws the defensive end also there in the backfield group has got to think what do we have to do?
Because they're doing a good job of altering Tyron Jones course and not letting him go where the play is designed to go, but it still doesn't matter.
He's getting so many yards after contact that Brookwood gets in these situations like third and one.
And the percentages just aren't in their favor.
For the brook with defense, in a situation like this, third and one entire and Jones in the backfield.
And of course, next week, we'll see Walt.
Again, the big chicken when they take on North Cobb and then they open up at home against what stuff.
That's the give the guns around laptop, 15, 10, 5, touchdown, touchdown Tyrant Jones.
Are you kidding me?
31 carries 302 yards and that trip.
Kevin bards.
52 yards a look again, Watch Tyrant, great job.
They're blocking by rallying.
Makes one move, it's the safety turned around.
That's the young man Reynolds, who came in the game, for Laguna who was suffering from cramps and he did not stand a chance against Iran Jones, technical college system.
Touchdown replay the extra point.
Is Up and Good by Price.
My goodness of 52-yard trip.
And I'll tell you something folks, he's clowning folks right now number one in your living room coming at you and he's never won here tonight, Walton a big enough.
I needed to talk to somebody about money when I opened my design shop.
When Mom got sick, my daughter engaged already, I felt sort of stuck.
I went to SunTrust, I just wanted to talk to someone and they listen helped me see options.
I didn't know I had now, I'm moving forward.
So I can focus on what's really important.
I'm better off than I thought at SunTrust we're here to help you find the answers.
You're looking for.
This is my baby girl.
That's why we start every conversation with.
How can we help you?
Back here in the Georgia Dome and Tyrone Jones sitting right next to Mystical blah.
No, you see, the scoring Drive, courtesy of our good friends.
At the technical college system of Georgia, Six plays 80 yards the elapsed time, 2 minutes, and 55 seconds.
And look at these numbers folks.
And this this is no joke.
This Try bro, right?
What did I say earlier tonight?
Baby was going to get close to three the way he was running, right?
Probably right now didn't hear you say that but I agree.
Now after the fact you were right on the money 102 yards, there's still eight minutes and 42 seconds to go in the fourth quarter.
Here's my prediction of guilt, right?
If Brookwood scores on this ensuing Drive you'll see Jones back on the field.
If Waltons able to stop Brookwood when their offense comes back on the field Jones were going to He's going to be done.
Oh my goodness there is a as Brandon go blonde.
Oh and of course Brandon's heading to Athens and they'll be opponents have an ascc.
We had a lot of mr. Jones it's going to Alabama and I'm sure there's a whole lot of Crimson Tide fans watching our broadcast here tonight.
You'll I was impressed with Byron Jones last year but I had no no Inkling.
That he could put up these kind of numbers against this type of competition.
Just did not see it coming.
Well has come so far from the performance we saw with him in the state championship against Grayson, I told Rocky got a chance to see him and I said you know he looks even bigger.
You know he looks like he's pulling it out and he looks like an Alabama player.
He does.
And he really, really doesn't mean he works in.
I mean, it's man among boys here tonight, folks.
I mean, this is a special, special special talent.
And it's not being allowed like that.
Not at all, not at all, got some D1 town of their own.
He's just, he's just that much better.
I know we're just gushing about the young, man, but he deserves all the accolades we could throw at him.
Jamal Cole has been outstanding as well.
That's and flags all over the place as he tries to scramble for his life, Guess Who, and mr. Blake months.
And he's had an outstanding game tonight here as well.
Grab, another chip on the office.
Penalty is declined.
Second down two men moving at the same time, Gil.
Obviously, that's not allowed to happen.
They'll decline the penalty because of the tackle for loss by months, so it'll be second down and long instead of first and long after the decline and moon, just doesn't stand a chance.
He's got three guys in his face.
Mans is really the guy that's doing most of the work right there and let his teammates come in and clean up the mess.
Jordan boy stur there as well, second and 14 for Brookwood.
And the air is completely come out of this place.
After that, last touchdown people, starting to file out not many folks left here on the Brookwood side.
Think they see the inevitability of what's going to happen tonight with eight minutes to go.
There's the gift of round gets over the 20 about 2221, the moon will come over to the sidelines and talk to you.
Head, coach Mark Crews, go back in the Huddle.
That'll bring up a third and nine 751 accounting down as we approach the Seven minute Mark here in the Georgia Dome and what's been like I said, an outstanding day of football here in the great city of Atlanta, one of the best days of football in the entire country.
No doubt kudos to Dave Hunter continuing the memory of the Greek Orchid show.
We're not going to go anywhere in this country and five buying Ten teams the caliber that we have in this state all playing in one venue all in one day I've said this many times if there was a Mount Rushmore, In the state of Georgia, you would put Dave Hunter up there.
Maybe he and his staff have put together this and this Corky Kell classic is going to get bigger and bigger and bigger.
You see, the Corky Kell classic and 20th year?
And of course, and Corky Kell would lay it on his on his dying bed told Dave Hunter.
Keep it going whispered in his ear to keep this going through something.
And boy, Dave Hunter was taking the handoff and advanced it in a big way in this Through full season opening classic here in the great state of Georgia, is going to continue to get better and we here at GPB yourself proud to be a part of it.
Like down at the big top, you have standing pictures by outstanding tonight is live for then under Pursuit and off on him.
Big time was monster and we've seen a whole lot of number 16 here tonight.
I love guys like like mods because he's the guy you classify as a great high school player that the type of guy that maximizes every ounce of talent that he's got, he's playing outside linebacker for one of the best teams in the state at 61 170 pounds and he's making an impact against offensive linemen.
That go to sixty to seventy two, forty five to thirty five to forty two, thirty five seconds.
170-pound guide.
We can have most of the second and three at the 37th 722 and counting down.
Trailing 35 217, that's an opening and that's coal and he gets close to the 45 yard line.
We've got to give Jamal coal for crops gilby song cramping up earlier.
He has had a phenomenal game and if he had these type of stats in any of the four previous games we've seen here, he would be heralded as player of the game and the player to watch in the next great thing.
But because of tyrant Jones performance, he's playing second fiddle, not to his teammate, Nick Tompkins, but in the guy on the other side of the field, just as Bailey on this top, you see the numbers on cold 24, carries 179 - like I said, that would be a great night, but unfortunately there's a gentleman wearing a number one uniform, wearing white who has an ID even better like monks.
There you go mans again on the blitz and coming in off the edge and moon has nowhere to go, and he'll take a sack Moon's.
Going to feel this in the morning.
I think there's a nice back at bath and Zack moons future.
He's been harassed every time he's dropped back tonight and he stood in there and taking a licking, but he's going to need two little bit of recovery time after tonight.
Brooke was really going to have to regroup this week.
You see monts and kablamo there and Carl Whitaker.
Just a slew of people so adrionna Williams, also as well 613 and counting down second and long 16 for Brookwood.
They trailed 3517 out of the shotgun is moving.
He fakes the give to Cole steps up.
He's over the 4045 Midfield into Walton territory and pushed out of I mean it's a flag, as there's a late hit, that's probably Billingsley.
Opposes hands up like every Defender.
Does that commits an infraction of the late hit variety.
I didn't do anything.
It just kind of drug him down by his jersey and then pulls off of them, right?
Where the referee is looking right out of the defense, 15 yards from the end of the run first down, you got an injured Bronco back here at the 35 yard line as well.
We worked on by the Bronco medical staff.
The outstanding Bronco medical staff, they'd all go still coaching all the way down to The Bitter End.
Let's number 60, the captain Center Jared Monday is he struggling.
Looks like they're trying to stretch out something on his right arm, perhaps a shoulder.
The Broncos can ill afford to lose a Monday moving forward.
He is the, he's the linchpin on that offensive line for Brookwood and you see us offensive line coach standing, there beside him post Jones.
Really worried about the young man.
He knows how important he is moving forward, GPB Sports.
Now has an app for those up two minutes scores full season schedule, suit season News, sports news rankings and so much more perfect way to keep up with your favorite.
Georgia high school football team, the entire year, download the GPB Sports app, the football app for your iPhone or iPad to day.
You know, I'm going to ask you this tree McDaniel from top to bottom from morning until night, the major story and then some, in terms of this Corky Kell classic from your Vantage Point, I think, first and foremost, you have to say that Grayson is going to be a force to be reckoned with.
They had a sloppy first half and really came out.
I'm most impressed.
By Camden County.
We know what they have in the Blue Chip Talent.
The quarterback Bryce Ramsey heading to University of Georgia, but no one expected him to Woodshed Peachtree Ridge, the way that they did.
So I was very, very impressed with that and I'm also very impressed here with Walton because one thing that coach Rocky Hidalgo is is he's very forthright when you speak to him.
He's not going to pull any punches and he was very upfront and honest with us.
Like he always is, he's a quote machine and he Thus that I love my kids but they don't know what the heck they're doing right now.
They certainly figured out what they were doing in a couple of short days because they've been very impressive here tonight.
It's got a shot of Rocky Hidalgo and it keeps on coaching this team up on downhill and he's met the by slew of Walton Defenders bring on Williams.
Being one of them something to take out of that North to a net gain.
Gil, is I think Coach spires got a little bit more to work with than he might have led on.
One thing I can say this.
I mean this Bob Spire Mo Dawson coach they can flat-out coach.
Okay.
Two of the best just outstanding job, had a great game plan going in.
They kept it North Gwinnett numbers and you know the penalties really killed Colquitt County but in the end it was that the end goal of Fielding one.
One of the most exciting.
That ball is loose and that's a fumble.
They were waiting for Priester to come around and moon took a shot, took a shot in the back and that ball was recovered by Zach Williams.
Exactly stands up holding his ribcage Gill.
It was kind of a trick play.
This is kind of a variation of the Statue of Liberty play, as he steps back, fakes, the draw and then holds the ball out for Priester to come around a risky.
Play to run when the defense for Walden's been able to provide the kind of pressure that they have, but right now at this point in the game you're just trying to find anything that works.
That obviously didn't for Brookwood and if I'm Zach Moon, I say, let me take this helmet off, get some water, get out of these pads, been a rough night for the young man, well, that pretty much to the frustration you.
So after that play indicative of what spend for Zach, Moon hand.
And I just a tough night 503 to go as we approach the five-minute Mark and Walton with the football courtesy of the Moon turnover.
I would give and straight ahead to Christian Burfict.
And in, in the game right now, for running things, the quarterback position for Walton is Price, William, price Wilson who was Parker McLeod's understudy.
That's right.
The junior 510 170 will be the guy that takes over this offense next year after McLeod leaves for Bama.
And it looks like we are prediction was, right tire and Jones night is over 300 -plus yards and the Kell classic something that he'll never forget, and neither will week that matter.
Again, the give is to burlock.
And continues to run, downhill over the 45-yard line up to about the 46 as they approach Midfield, 302 yards on the night for mr. Jones in addition to that, a slew of touchdown strength.
Yeah, 71 yards, 1 yard, 48 yards, six yards and 52 yards, two touchdowns five tonight.
Five of them count them five for one Tyrant Jones.
And what's the exact yardage guilt?
Three hundred three hundred and two yards.
That's He was clowning for coach.
SunTrust sponsored play of the game and this was mr. Jones, getting things started on a, 71-yard trip, that would lead to a great night that backpedal right there is sick, he back pedals and he just toys with the free safety there.
And then, turns on the afterburners there, he is dead.
Now that this is done getting out of all his tape in his paths.
He's a happy man, he's going to sleep well.
Tonight and boy, do they have a gem of a player in him?
Stay tuned and we'll see you next week.
They take on the McEachern, Indians and cowboys part of the big chicken.
The first game of that great tournament and classic about out there won't be till Grove and Lassiter.
31 carries 302 yards, five touchdowns.
Let's go downstairs to John Nelson.
John record, huh?
We're trying to figure that out.
We tried to crack open every record book and talk to every source that we have on The Waltons Sidelines.
The prevailing wisdom is Justin Forte who led Walton here to the dome, in the past, Under head coach, Ed Dudley and that game, he's had more in a game so we think Forte has more than tire and Jones has tonight, okay?
And Forte was a force for Walt and so right now it's for its Forte and it's tiring Jones and we're also checking to see if it's a rushing record for the Corky Kell classic.
We think I've got ya, I got to believe that I got.
I gotta believe you historian you, huh?
Well, that's what nine yards.
A carry, I'm high, nine, almost ten yards, a carry John.
You haven't written a book about this.
You should know these things.
Give me give me Chapters, I can play with given five months ago to you.
Well, actually the last book I had ten weeks with that one together.
That was, that was Six weeks for the photos, by the way.
Look at coach Cruz's face.
Right here, utterly disappointed and insult to injury there upon the kick.
The pun hits a Brookwood player and it's recovered by Walt.
Absolutely, it could things couldn't get any worse and look who's standing right there near the football.
Blake moths It's been everywhere.
In fact if you if you had three stars tonight, full number one, definitely number 16 is there and I did and I don't know I mean I don't want to downplay what park and McLeod means to the team.
But I got to say that it's tiring Jones and in 1 and 1A has got to be Brandon to blah know.
He does a great job at vets and then you give the name of suicide the monster.
Sure the blood also played well in that second side as well running downhill.
Burning is clock because like Trey said, earlier, we're approaching the inevitable, that's right, the inevitable is, it'll be all to Victory and they head on now to take on McGee true and for Brookwood, it's a week off.
And then Mill Creek, was no slouch we got to cover Mill Creek.
Last year against Norcross Mill, Creek's really starting to come into their own.
They've got one of the best players in the state on the defensive line and Kelsey Griffin.
Heck of a player for him, so Brooke was going to have their hands full.
But one thing's for sure, they're not going to see another tailback this year, the caliber of tyrant Jones.
They can breathe a little bit of a sigh of relief but you can bet.
One thing Brooke was going to be in the film room.
Their coaches are all the rest of this weekend, trying to figure out what went wrong and guess who's already game Planning for Tyrone Jones, coach Hockman and McEachern.
They're probably in the film room right now.
Watching this football game, trying to devise some kind of a plan to stop him and we'll be right there to see what their plan is next week at the Battle of the Big Chicken in the night, cap under the 2-minute, mark, third down and eight for Walton at the Brookwood 21.
Rocky Hidalgo is really cleared his bench right now, price Wilson, as we said earlier, and he never looks relaxed over there.
Look at they'll go, still looks Bill, coach anxiety-ridden, and nervous.
And bundle of energy that guy is Oh, Steph what a joy to talk to.
I mean we've mentioned it before and Gil, you got quite a kick out of our conversation with him this week.
He is quoting machine.
I mean, you can't write fast enough, all the little anecdotes he has.
And, you know, we talked about, we talked about Rocky.
We talked about trip, Alan, but also they have a new defensive coordinator.
Chris Stewart, defensive coordinator.
Comes great, Barry and he's done a nice job.
We're going to take a break a minute forward ago and this says Walton written all over 35 17 over Brookwood would be right back.
The Metro PCS Corky Kell, classic is made possible in part, by Regions Bank, it's time to expect more George's.
Electric Membership Corporation lighting, the way technical college system of Georgia, learn more earn more and by viewers like you, thank you.
I'm Dave Hunter, I'm the executive director of the Metro PCS Corky Kell classic, and I want to thank Michael a birdie, and MetroPCS for being our title sponsor again, in the 21st game, this is a great event and the relationship between Corky Kell classic and MetroPCS has been outstanding.
And we certainly appreciate your sponsorship again.
This year, we're excited to be back Dave and on behalf of Metro PCS.
We want to present to you this check for 25,000 dollars for the Corky Kell Foundation.
Thank you so much.
Look forward to a lasting relationship.
Absolutely.
Tina is not something you do alone.
Team is plural.
Tina's, arms legs, Blood, Sweat, and soul.
Lot goes into team.
But we take away stays with us forever.
They don't give out participation trophies, not in this league.
Nobody throws ticker-tape.
Thanks for trying, parades locker, rooms are not draped in plastic and champagne.
Bottles are not Uncorked for having winning seasons.
Even four of them in a row.
And you know what?
That's just the way we like it, GPB.
Of eleven Emmy Awards, including station Excellence.
Thank you for your support.
Back here in the Georgia, Dome 3517 Walton out in front of Brooklyn very late in this football game and molten just running out the clock.
But you know today we've had morning to morning High School football for he is approaching the Midwest Mark here in Atlanta.
Well said Mark Harmon kicked this off here at 9 a.m. And it looks like Mark Harmon is going to close down the shop.
Well after midnight.
Mark's going to be doing the, are You Smarter segment in his sleep tonight?
You you know I want to throw some numbers out at you last year, Tyrant Jones 2375 yards, this for the season and 33 touchdowns this for the season Tray tonight.
He's got quite a head.
Start on the right and five touchdowns.
Okay, one game 1-1 game, okay, so do the math and you talk about a very weak region.
Yeah, I don't want to say week but I think he's going to run roughshod through.
The region for sure.
I'm not saying they're going to go undefeated, but he's got a great chance this year to break that record.
Well, they're on a mission because Rocky Hidalgo, sitting wants to get back here and seal the deal.
And the looks of things, he looks pretty good tonight, that's priests are on the end around the Statue of Liberty.
They were able to make it work and he advances the football close to the 45 yard, line downstairs to John Nelson, with the star of stars here tonight, in l.a., it's all yours.
All right guys, here with Tyrant.
Was there ever again, was the last game that you were in his own like, this can't really say.
I try to be like this every game.
So then how much fun was it out there tonight?
Especially with the guys up front, it's pretty fun.
We came off of a tough loss to call us scrimmage.
We played down to a level and then we had a meeting and talked to all the guys and then we just tell them had to come in and try to be our best and play to our potential and obviously with all the new guys on the offensive line shorter.
Brandon it's taken time to get used to everybody but you guys look like you're in midseason form.
The way, they're clearing holes for it, they surprised me.
Actually, they're pretty good.
I've been talking to him trying to get the cameras and I fac and I think we're very Professional.
And now you got a short week coming up and big games over at McEachern to, you know, that McEachern.
Probably already watching this on GPB, taking an eye on you there.
Yeah they probably watched a film but we want we were in the locker and watching them we know we had them had to go get some from next next.
Next week I believe and then we're just getting ready for the next minute.
Well, /, 31 4302, thanks for the night.
We'll see you Friday night tire and Jones, guys.
Big night for him will send it back upstairs.
I'd want Mellie was talking, Zach, Lewis got popped again.
It's been a long night.
A personal foul and that will advance the football.
But, you know, I want to touch on what time and talked about.
He said after that, he'll from scrimmage, you got personal, because Rocky Hidalgo, got in the faces of his offensive line, mini challenge, to seniors and said, listen, we got to play big ball of wood big boy football and that scrimmage against Hillgrove.
Really woke them up and the end result is here tonight.
And you see this happening all over the place now, especially with the new heat rules in the limited amount of practices that these teams are able to have during the Season.
A lot of them are scheduling these scrimmages and there's no better way to get an idea of what your team is all about.
The problem with them is most the coaches, we talked to leading up to these games said that those scrimmages made them feel a little bit more uneasy about their teams in a lot of these coaches.
Ironically, with the exception of Coach Cruz really seemed concerned about what they were going to get today.
Crew seemed actually pretty confident said, their offense was ahead of schedule and it's not played out that way on the field today.
Moon's completion to Priester will make it second and two at the 2032 ticks to go.
And we say, good morning to you.
Good morning, Atlanta on GPB heal you.
And I should start a morning show called good morning, Atlanta is already one and a couple of doing very well, thank you, but not, not one.
The caliber that we got no trailer.
I'll tell you what you bring coffee.
We could play music and just do highlights and scores.
Talk about high school football.
Nobody I mean nobody knows the game of high school football here in the great state of Georgia.
And then this gentleman I'm sitting beside here today, I appreciate that Gill and I'm really looking forward this year to jump it back on the horse and covering High School football with you is absolute Joy last year and right now I'm so excited to see how the six a classification specifically it's going to play out as completion is for a touchdown to Priester, too little too late though and that'll give Get a look at the Broncos on the board again and I'll make it a 35 223 game pending the extra point here right now.
Gill and you see the replay box and brought to you by technical college right now.
Brooke was just trying to get some stuff on tape, something to springboard of something to build off of for the coming weeks.
And that's why you saw them.
Go back to that Statue of Liberty, play that they botched earlier because they want to get it on tape and see if they're blocking it well and they can actually implement it into some of their future games.
College system's of the great state of Georgia with the replay here.
And we say, thank you, Marlene for the extra point.
The kick is up and it is good.
So with the score Walton, 35 and Brookwood 24.
25 seconds to go the scoring drive again, brought to you by a great friends, from the technical college system of Georgia, for foreplay, 77 yards, 35 ticks, and of course Priester the Lake Mary Florida transfer.
Plant from our cruise scores, the touchdown on the pass from Zach Moon.
You'll, you're going to look at the box score if you will and notice that, you know, Brookwood loses the game by 11 points, 35 to 24 and thank all right, they held their own.
And, you know, they really weathered the storm with the Tyrant Jones performance, but they've got a lot of work to do on the defensive side of the football specifically.
And they've also got to do some things.
Maybe get creative to try to get Zach Moon, calm in the pocket last year.
Saw him Panic a little bit in that game.
Against Grayson.
A team that went on to win the championship.
It was a tie game with a few seconds left and before he throws that ill-advised interception, at the end of the game Moon's, got the talent but he's gotta calm down in the pocket and they've got to do some things to help facilitate that or 8.3 McDaniel and of course quarterback plays.
So important, we saw that in the game before.
This one, a peach tree Ridge against Camden County and they made life miserable well.
The Peachtree quarterback Peachtree Ridge quarterback tonight.
And of course, That was a blowout loss Camden County making a four and a half to five hour trip on down the Kings Bay and the Brunswick area and of course Jeff burn.
It's done an outstanding job racing Ramsey and Company came up and made a statement here tonight in our earlier game.
Remember when Jeff Heron was coaching at of any County you know?
And and it won't end it won't.
And you saw the kind of coach that he was and he's taken that philosophy down.
And he owns that County, man.
He could be the mayor of that of that of those.
All those towns down there at Camden County, he is a superstar dead-ball encouragement, Annika contain every a five-yard penalty.
Every kit, you look at the coaching tree from that great.
Great school.
That's nestled in a Raider Valley, just an intimate place.
I call it like a Wimbledon.
Yeah, that's how it has a.
It has a wonderful and feel that Press Box and Vintage Press Box.
But you look at Dudley yes.
Who's now where can we are counting and Jeff Heron and now a rocky Hidalgo and I'll tell you what, folks And the guy can flat-out Coach, and he's going to be wanted from somebody down the road.
I mean, he is just an outstanding outstanding coach, he gets the most out of kids, and he's a wonderful father.
In fact, he has daycare in his office and his lovely wife Kelly and of course, had a newborn yep son last year last year, the championship.
There you go.
I'm just a Class Act.
He's one of those players coaches that earns the players respect because of his fire and passion and can get away.
Not all coaches can get away with this but if Get away with the tough love, and he gives his his, his student athletes.
Some tough love sometimes, but because he also follows it up with a lot of affection with those young men, they really go to battle for him week in and week out.
He reminds me a lot of a guy I'm sitting.
I'm standing next to right now.
You, I mean you were you coach him up.
I wouldn't want to get next to you, I'd crash and burn.
If I was, if I was expected to coach these guys, that's for sure.
I highly doubt it.
I highly doubt it.
25 seconds to go before we put a wrap on this with a name of the Walton Raiders, and they'll go to the kneel down and the person of One Price Wilson.
And Rocky Hidalgo and the Walton.
Raiders come in here and a statement game.
Byron Jones outstanding effort.
Now, let's go downstairs to John Nelson.
Who was what the man of the hour?
The among the many men of the our Rocky Hidalgo.
In this case, the morning John, good morning to you and Rocky good morning to all of you recording Wilson Pickett.
Now in the Midnight Hour, great night for tyre and 31 4302.
He's a really good player, I don't know.
People knew that or not.
But yeah, he's pretty good.
That's all I have to say, I'm glad he's ours, that's it.
He talked about the game tonight, put in 35 on the board.
Obviously if it was short runs for tiring and long ones to, which says a lot about your new line, you know, I think we played, we came out the ball up there and I was pleased with that.
I was really concerned with our focus at times because we're sewing experience.
And I think we really stayed in the game mentally tonight and kind of hung in there.
Came out in the third quarter hard, and I'm proud of my kids right now because I know that you like pedal.
Down until everything is in complete and total control.
You just like to put the gas pedal to the floor and make sure that things are in control and in hand, you know?
We yes I would like to do that.
Yes.
Now, you got a short week to come back and we're going to be back on the air with you next time.
Yeah, you know, it's, we've got a very young and experienced team.
So, one of the things that we're going to have to do, is, is being real mature about this.
We have to understand that we have not arrived.
We've got a big game versus McEachern last next week and they've got a really good football, team of Washington day.
So we're going to have to show up very well.
And We have a lot of stuff we have to work on and hopefully we'll come out Monday and will be prepared to work rock.
Thanks for helping us out tonight.
Congratulations and go work on stuff.
We'll see you Friday night.
Let's send it over to the best seat in the house one last time.
Mark, Harmon, the beach is closed.
Thank you.
John one, last time.
This puts a cap on the 21st Metro PCS Corky Kell classic, we kick things off bright and early 9:00 Saturday morning and it all comes to a close.
And after midnight on Sunday morning, we've seen 5 great games tend to The teams and so many great plays.
We want to thank everybody that has made this long broadcast, a possible.
All of our crew from GPB and Turner Sports have done outstanding jobs.
We want to thank all the coaches, the players, the parents, the teachers and the fans who have been a part of our telecast, and all of our viewers who have watched 15 great hours of high school football.
Now, next week, we are at McEachern High for the battle of the big chicken, a huge doubleheader, featuring Lassiter and Hillgrove at 6 :00 followed by the Walton.
Raiders and Byron Jones and the McEachern Indians in The nightcap.
So until next time in powder spring, it is time to say goodnight and good morning and to say thanks for watching and so long everybody.
Right now, we're having a great time.
We got to stay hydrated.
Kind of like a always is.
Field goal.
