NJ health officials hope to fast-track improvements
Health commissioner Judy Persichilli says the mission critical strike team recently tasked with correcting dangerous safety lapses at the state-run veterans home in Menlo Park has helped the beleaguered facility correct the five so-called “immediate jeopardies” — problems so egregious, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services stopped paying for new admissions there, just before Thanksgiving.
