Catalyst Quartet commissioned 11 contemporary composers to write these short pieces.
These pieces were all performed at the 2022 Grand Canyon Music Festival. Catalyst Quartet asked 11 outstanding and diverse contemporary composers to write short pieces for them for two reasons: first to honor the quartet’s 10 year anniversary and second, so that the quartet could play all of the new pieces in one concert.
