I have been doing this particular paper art that I'm doing now since the nineties.
Prior to that, I did a lot of custom picture framing and as a kid, just like the paper in general.
So that's kind of how it's evolved.
I'm a frequent shopper at Saver's or Salvation Army because that's where I find a lot of my molds.
So this is I call them IKEA platters.
They're bamboo.
And that's nice because it can handle the water, but I don't use the side of it.
I use the back side of it when it's paper pulp cast down on it.
Then when you take it off the mold, you have this shape, whatever I used and surface to work with.
And this is actually a claim mold that I made.
And then when the mold starts to set up a little bit is leather, you can actually carve into it.
The image that you want, creativity and having the opportunity, obviously having a space like this to work in and make things is a gift.
