It’s the first day of school for thousands of New Jersey students. And in Cresskill, Bergen County, middle and high schoolers were welcomed back to their building for the first time in more than two years. A shutdown that began at the start of the pandemic extended after Cresskill’s schools were heavily damaged by Tropical Storm Ida, which brought heavy winds and flooding rains last August.
