Increased NJ gun violence causes fear for safety

There have been almost 800 shootings in the state since April 15

Increased gun violence in cities across NJ is causing some residents to fear for their safety. Paterson saw its 28th homicide in 2021 after a woman was shot and killed last week. Mayor Andre Sayegh says they’re doing everything they can to reduce shootings, including swearing in more police. Community advocates maintain more resources need to be invested to keep people safe.
