The Kentucky Blood Center says there is a critical need for four blood types O-negative, a negative, a B negative and a B, positive.
There is less than a day supply of each blood type available at Kentucky hospitals.
So the Kentucky Blood Center is urging people to donate.
The center supplies blood to 70 Kentucky hospitals.
65% of Americans are eligible to donate blood, but only about 3% actually do so.
